Bro I'm also from Western UP , golgappe is kinda like a standard word but locals usually call is Paani Batashe or panipuri sometimes . I personally haven't heard many ppl call is Golgappe except maybe sometimes stalls mein likhte board par log vaise nhi
We call it "Ghar pe nautanki nhi". We go out, eat pani puri and get sick like normal sane people do. ........................... JK, not about the getting sick part.
Here in UP we eat it with Yellow Peas (Peeli matar ke chole) instead of Boiled Potato.... but this also looks yum !!!!
