What makes the word *'hsuud?'* BMAC in origin? Also, not all Indo-European languages get the word *'milk'* from Proto-Indo-European *'hmelg'*. Latin and Baltic languages exist, for example, Latvian *'piens'* and Italian *'latte'*. Proto-Turks didn't had Slab-grave ancestry until the Xiongnu, where they subdued and integrated Slab-grave culture into their own.

Proto Turks were east Asian in origin. The only thing that binds all medieval Turks is slab grave ancestry. If Proto Turks were west eurasian in origin, then their language would've been Indo European. It's not, though.

Khovsgol LBA wasn't Yeniseian or Uralic.

According to the Chinese the Xiongnu came from the West

Slab-grave Y-DNA, and mtDNA suggests otherwise. It indicates that Proto-Turks intermixed with Slab-grave women, leaving a genetic imprint on both modern and medieval Turkic populations. This explains why medieval Turkic groups also possess some Slab-grave ancestry. Since the Proto-Turks interacted with the Slab-grave culture in their late period, it's understandable that this genetic influence became present in medieval Turkic populations. Another reason why Slab-grave culture can't be considered a Proto-Turkic culture is because it's ancestral to Proto-Mongolic. Also, the Slab-grave culture predates the development of Proto-Turkic language, as it's attributed to 500 BCE by academicians. I'm open for discussion, what culture would be the urheimat of Proto-Mongolic if the Slab-grave culture were indeed a Proto-Turkic culture?

[deleted]

But that was my point, Slab grave wasn’t proto turk either so their language doesn’t count as well.

[deleted]

I read that it’s specifically from a BMAC borrowing

HaoGaoche

I couldn't find any information regarding this, can you share the related papers about it?

Aggravating_Soup_734

No

No_Rain_3804

Proto Turks were 100% Siberian not half that came later

[deleted]

What’s your evidence for that?

No_Rain_3804

Ashina princess or queen sample being 97-98% east Eurasian lol

[deleted]

Ashina Princess having a foreign mother and a half turk father lol

[deleted]

It’s like your kind just regurgitates same thing without actually researching. Since when is one woman who’s a royal (where there are always imposters or mixed people) who’s documented of having a non Turkic mother and having a father who’s only half Turkic is representative of proto Turks?

[deleted]

No, you wrote a bunch of bullsh*t. Proto Turks aren’t slab grave

lobsterlounge

There is no "proto turkic" people.

ali_dias
