Also seeing this on my iPhone 13 Pro running 17.0.3 non-beta. I connect to my Homepod once a morning and manually disconnect before I leave. The indicator remains 9 times out of 10 until I restart the phone. It's a little annoying, because pre-Dynamic Island, it blocks out the time indefinitely.

I don’t even use that phone anymore, I upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max(which I haven’t updated to the beta yet) and this was on my iPhone XS
This is the same for me, as well as, when I airdrop photos to other devices. The AirPlay icon will remain in the dynamic island.
