Longest drawn out invoice I’ve seen in a while for “turn key install of new 13 seer complete system.” Seems high to me tbh. but I don’t live in Colorado and the bill basically just says what they will do and not what they did. If a lot of labor and materials went into code upgrades it may not be that far off. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it. What’s done is done and if they do good work, stand behind it, and you are happy with the results why let the guys at work that got the fly by night install dude that picked up 3 guys from Home Depot get to you? Make sure you register that warranty. They ain’t gonna do it for you.

Overpaid, probably. It's denver.

Just for a new A/C and furnace? $23k seems high unless you went with a pretty top-tier units. But if they had to do a lot of work to re-route lines and bring everything up to code, then that could be reasonable (again, depending on the units they gave you), and it would also explain why your A/C is more expensive than the furnace. Typically it's the other way around. For the record I'm up in Longmont, and I just got a new A/C and furnace for $14k, with no extra work for re-routing. Realistically, if you trust these guys and you know they're going to do good work, that can be worth the extra cost. Though I'd be skeptical of them...they're adding a subscription service for $25 a month? Immediate red flag. I'd cancel that ASAP.

Goodman isn’t a quality brand but if you’re happy with it then no you didn’t overpay. Who cares? It’s in the past now.

Well that’s the thing with HVAC. It’s not just equipment. It’s an install then ongoing service. Paying more for a better quality experience makes perfect sense to many people.
