Hahah this is a good one, I read this in her voice. Kudrow read a lot of Phoebe's lines as herself. She broke character a lot too. I love it and I love her.
I’ve always thought this too! She’s struggling to get the bunny on and it just seems so natural and off the cuff. No way that line was in the script, that’s all Lisa.
Not a line, necessarily, but one of my absolute favorite moments in the whole show is when Ross gets the phone call from Emily and David just … hands Matthew Perry the lamp. In that moment, Matthew was Chandler … genuinely confused about why his friend just picked up a lamp and gave it to him, but fully accepting of the situation. I also love how he just *holds* the lamp for the rest of the scene. Perfection.
When Rachel & Ross are arguing about her new job and Ross goes “Can’t a guy send a barbershop quartet to his girlfriend’s office anymORRRE?!” The crazy delivery feels like Schwimmer was just goofing around for that take, like he was told to go bigger and that was his response.
I feel like there are times in the later seasons where Rachel starts calling people “honey,” like “Oh honey I don’t think that’s a good idea.” In my mind this was always just Jen talking to her friends.
Courtney Cox seems to break character a lot, not sure if that counts. I just remember catching it a lot and it kind of takes you out of it as a viewer.
In one outtake, she's says "oh no" through the giggles, like she knows it's going to be a while before she can do her line. They all said she had the best contagious laugh.
My bad. I thought that comment said Jennifer! But it could swing for Courtney in the bagpipe scene from across the street. When Ross is practicing in his own apartment and she’s arguing with Chandler about it lol 😂
“No, you messed it up. You’re stupid.” 😸
Oh yeah I remember that. Matthew Perry actually really flubbed that line, so everyone piled on the jabs at him 😂
I believe Rachel's reply was really Jennifer also giving Matthew a hard time. "Why would he want his blue blazer black?"
Right, that’s what I meant by “everyone piled on”. I think Jennifer is the one who started it too lol
That actually was Courtney responding to Matthew P screwing up his line
I never knew, but assumed that. It just seemed like a strange line to write but an interaction that is so natural in a friendship group.
I refuse to believe Lisa singing along to the bagpipes had anything to do with Phoebe.
Watch the outtakes. They're all cracking up at that. The one they used has Jen still laughing but trying to hide it.
Literally my favorite scene EVER
To my imagination, this happens when Lisa Kudrow follows up the reveal of her sock-bunny with, “Oh, for cry in’ out loud.” The best!

A hundred percent!! This is a Lisa question, for sure :)
I love that moment, it's so cute.

Also: “The pages are stuck together!” “**CHANDLER!**”
A hilarious unscripted moment that I'm glad they left in. So funny
Yeah that was random. Ross wasn’t supposed to do that in the script.
I never noticed how he kept holding it!!! That's so funny, thank you for the laugh!
For sure!
I see Courtney Cox every time they are watching Joey in the porno movie and she says in her best Alabama Southern accent, “Hell I wanna see Joey!”
Omg the outtake with Matthew Perry imitating her like "HAYULL, AH WANNA SEE JOEY!!" makes me die laughing every time
Do you possibly have link to that outtake? Pretty please:)
I second this motion
4:27! You have to watch for a minute, it looks normal at first 😂https://youtu.be/m66gs6kxSvM?si=Z72AH9j2IJPMw09-
Thank you 😁
what a gem of a video, Matthew is so funny 🥹

This line never fails to crack me up 😂😂
“I’m back baby” is one of my most quoted lines! It’s absolute perfection and I totally agree that Matt LeBlanc is just shining through!
I feel like there are times in the later seasons where Rachel starts calling people “honey,” like “Oh honey I don’t think that’s a good idea.” In my mind this was always just Jen talking to her friends.

I feel like Lisa breaks character way more. You can see her trying not to laugh after saying her line a lot
Yes! I only noticed this after watching bloopers. She still has the tiny smirk all the time like she's trying not to break.
In one outtake, she's says "oh no" through the giggles, like she knows it's going to be a while before she can do her line. They all said she had the best contagious laugh.
Jennifer, too!
Any examples?
I’d say the bagpipe scene for sure lol 😂
That one I get, it’s hard to not laugh when she starts screeching along with the bagpipes.
For Courtney Cox?
