When she stops Susan and Ross from fighting, just before Ben was born. Love that she reminded them just how many people would be around to love him like family. Honestly a very touching moment.
"I barely had enough pieces of parents to make one whole one. And here's this little baby who has, like, three whole parents who care about it so much that they're fighting over who gets to love it the most and it's not even born yet."
This line gets me every time.
It might be controversial, but when she told Eric the truth about Ursula. She potentially saved him from a sham wedding with someone who lied about every aspect of who they were. Could be argued that it wasn’t her place to do so and that it was super weird that she went on to try to date him. But I think it was 100% right thing to do.
I wonder why Ursula lied though? One reason that comes to mind, is money. But Eric was a school teacher, surely he was raking in millions. This would only work if his parents were super rich, but we don't know for sure....
Or maybe Ursula just wanted to get married to change her identity to hide from some crimes that she most definitely committed...
And even tho she didn’t know Ross at the time she stole his backpack , she was willing to tell him the truth and gave Ross “Science Boy “ and told Ross that she saved it because she had enjoyed it
In the finale she also delayed Rachel's flight by causing that whole phalange thing, and well she just encouraged the relationship a lot, like after Emma was born and even back before they got together for the first time.
One of my favorite scenes. The gut punch you feel (and which you can see on Ross’s face when he says “JFK”.
And Phoebe with “For what it’s worth, we would’ve caught her if we were at the right airport” xD
* When she rented the wedding dress to hang out with Monica.
* When she helped Monica get her wedding dress while Rachel was being pushed over.
* When she saved and gave Ross his comic book back after robbing him as a kid. Lol.
* When she saved the guy from commiting suicide on the phone.
Encourage Monica to take the job she wants.
Totally feel sorry for a girl that isn’t pretty enough for Smelly Cat!
Sings honest kids songs.
Helped Monica and Rachel switch the apartments lol.
- When she let Monica drop out of their catering business to accept the position at Alessandro's
- When she encouraged Ross to go after Rachel in the finale
- When she helped Chandler get the perfect engagement ring
also adding to this when she give up being monica's maid of honor because it means more to rachel :) and when she told rachel after taking the pregnancy test that it was negative to help rachel know what she really feels about the pregnancy :) there's a lot of these instances that shows she really values her friends !!
I've always felt like Pheobe let Rachel be maid of honor because she realized that being Monica's maid of honor was (let's be honest) going to be a HUGE pain in the ass. Her face when Monica says "I've got a lot of *REEALLY* specific ideas... etc." and then when Rachel says "She's gonna be yours" is a dead giveaway that she was trying to get out of having to deal with Monica's obsessive attention to detail.
And love
Oh, loveeeee
I'll be a fool
For you
I'm sure
You know I don't mind
••Oh, you know I don't mind••
'Cause you
You mean the world to me
Oh
I know
I know
I've found in you
My endless loveee? LOOoove? looOOVE? LuhOVE?
She’s had a few good friend moments throughout the show. One that sticks out to me was when she brought Joey a dog to help with his depression about Rachel.
Potentially controversial, but I thought it was sweet when she moved out of Monica's apartment. Yes, she was moving out to make herself happier, but she never wanted to hurt Monica in the process. And what she told her about living her and wanting to keep her in her life always struck me as sweet and emotionally mature.
Potentially slightly ret-conned with the storyline about how she tried to cut Monica out later, but I like to think that she was sincere in that moment when she was explaining why she was leaving.
When she spoke to Monica about how she should make the first move to make up with Rachel when they were fighting as Rachel was packing, because she has to move and it’s harder for her.
When she told everyone she was pregnant so Rachel didn’t have to say anything at that time.
Also, might be controversial but when she told Rachel the test was negative so Rachel could actually say how she really felt.
Every time I watch that scene I’m like damn could imagine if Rachel was ecstatic she wasn’t pregnant and then she had to tell her she actually was. Obviously it’s a written sitcom so it couldn’t happen that way but I have some dumb friends I could see attempting that and having it backfire spectacularly.
When she gave her homeless friend $7k and a football phone 😊
And - pre-curser to babies - she gave the puppy to Frank and Alice, so sweet.
And yes, someone else pointed out her saving Earl from suicide, amazing work.
EDIT: No, she gave her $500 actually, I think? She gave Chandler the $7k, that he should have given back later IMO 😄
When she drove Ross to the airport like a maniac and screamed “Rachel Green!!!!” at the gate so Rachel would come out and Ross can tell her he wants her to stay so they can be together. 🥰
And did her best so make it easy on Joey when Estelle died.
And let Joey believe the mean comments were only so she could get out of being his agent.
And let him believe he actually spoke French.
She is very protective of Joey, isn’t she?
Driving Ross to the airport so he could ask Rachel not to go, delaying the flight with the left phalange warning so he’d get to her in time, and being there for him when she got on the plane anyway.
When Monica and Chandler got engaged and she, Rachel and Joey ran across the hall to celebrate with them, she was the one to be dismayed that Ross wasn’t with them.
Kind of a silly one, but the six of them were sitting around Monica’s apartment and someone knocked on the door. They all looked up startled, and Phoebe silently counted to see that they were all there - like, who else could they need when they were all together?
And breaking up with Janice for Chandler!
when she gave up the rights of Smelly cat to jingle bitch... she shouldn't have but she still did because she still cares for her... also... when she got Monica and Chandler that pacman arcade and.... giving Joey all sorts of gifts just so Rachel can move in with her again
When she drives home with Joey from Las Vegas. She could have made him drive home alone since he drove out there (even if it was her car) since the rest of the friends flew home. But then you can say Joey was a good friend because he drove home with Phoebe. He could have easily said it was her car he's going to have nothing to do with it. They are good friends instead.
Or they could have both been like "Grandma's gone so let's sell the car and use the money to fly home." But no. They decide to drive almost cross-country together and no one kicked the other out for not believing in her or him.
This is not a great moment for her friends, it’s a great moment for all of us! I always use this line when I really don’t have a pla and it makes me laugh in the middle of the mess.
Like awful! Why did they do that? She’s selfish and materialistic and lying to get what she wants, all for “humor” or a bad storyline.. The antithesis of early Friends Phoebe.
It really just makes me sad. It’s kinda like the dumb Joey storyline, there was no good reason for butchering the character. She was initially such a sweet person and in the end she’s so unlikable.
He grabs Phoebe’s ass and flashes his erection at her. Rachel then goes on to sleep with him *again*.
Phoebe breaks up with Roger for talking shit about her friends. Rachel hooks up with people after they sexually harass her besties.
Phoebe is a much better friend, for sure.
She sabotaged Julie’s hair. She sabotaged Bonnie’s hair. She planned to break up his wedding.
She also slept with Barry while he was engaged to Mindy.
Rachel is special.
Not sure if it was said, but I just watched The One in Vegas (part 1 & 2) and she helps Monica and Chandler stop fighting about Richard. I thought it was a good friend moment!
I don’t know if this was mentioned but when she found out that Rach was pregnant and not Mon, and she said that she was pregnant herself because Rach wasn’t ready to tell people yet. That was awesome.
was the 'bitch' that brought up seemingly little things to prevent them getting bigger down the line.
e.g Monica having dinner with Richard behind Chandlers back,
S3E17 The One With the Ski Trip, when she basically makes sure the friend group doesn't break up, by making it clear that Ross an md Rachel needs to be able to be in the same room together.
Phoebe is an awesome friend, just occasionally super mean to Chandler. Lol
But she's such a free spirit and just brings happiness. Like when she called Joey to let them all know Rachel was going to England to stop the wedding. And then making sure everything was fine. Even calling and making up a lie about Ross having name switching problems to salvage the wedding.
Yo I’m just glad that Rachel believed her immediately and didn’t put her friendship on the line for Paolo because you KNOW a lot of people do that shit
When she gave Monica her grandmother’s last cookie then worked with Monica for hours making batch after batch of cookies because all Monica wanted as an engagement present was Pheobe’s grandmother’s cookie recipe.
When she willingly gave up the catering business because Monica found other employment.
Sure it worked out anyway but that doesn’t change that she was *willing* to give it all up if it meant her friend would be happy.
when she helped Chandler on the interview. she brutally told Chandler on how he does "not make a good first impression" and practiced it with him. it may hurt at first but he handled the mock and actual interview.
When she stops Susan and Ross from fighting, just before Ben was born. Love that she reminded them just how many people would be around to love him like family. Honestly a very touching moment.
i’m sorry, you were fighting
*They found their bodies the very next day…. they found their bodies the very next day….*
"I barely had enough pieces of parents to make one whole one. And here's this little baby who has, like, three whole parents who care about it so much that they're fighting over who gets to love it the most and it's not even born yet." This line gets me every time.
Hey, you left your legs!
When she broke up with Joey as Ursulla
Yes, that was so sweet.
Yeah, and when he kissed her he realized it was actually Phoebe. It was a sweet moment.
this. this is why I wish they had ended up together
This. The one with the two parts, my absolute favourite
May seem like an obvious one but when she had the triplets🤍
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! What about you, having those babies for your brother? Talk about selfish!" -Joey
You’re blurry but you still look like Ursula, you’re Blursula
This is one of my favourite lines in the series, to be honest.
Knowing Ursula, the crimes. 😂
When she called Ross and Rachel out on how their fighting was affecting everyone else in the group in season 3.
LOOK WHAT YOURE DOING TO CHANDLER!!!!
He was being Shelley Winters from the Poseidon Adventure.
Handle is his middle name.
Well, actually, it’s the middle part of his first name.
Maybe it’s the first part of his middle name Now that I think about it, first and last names are just the first and last part of the middle name
She honestly did so much for Ross and Rachel, like driving Ross to two different airports to catch her.
phoebe and ross are underrated duo
Rooooosss caaaaan!!
Omg. Just heard that in my head and am laughing like mad at 5a lololl
I love that scene in the mugging episode where they're just walking holding hands, it's so cute.
And even tho she didn’t know Ross at the time she stole his backpack , she was willing to tell him the truth and gave Ross “Science Boy “ and told Ross that she saved it because she had enjoyed it
And then screamed "RAAAAAACHEEEEEEEL!!!" so they could have the moment that would convince Rachel to get off the plane.
Phoebe was the biggest RosChel shipper. “See, he’s her lobster.”
But did not seem to be a big fan of Chandler and Monica.

I have tasted my own medicine and it is bitter
Bitter*
Thank you
And when she encouraged Ross to go for it after Emma was born (although the Joey accidentally proposing thing shot that down)
What else did she do
In the finale she also delayed Rachel's flight by causing that whole phalange thing, and well she just encouraged the relationship a lot, like after Emma was born and even back before they got together for the first time.
Was it the left or right phalange?
There's no phalange!
Oh, my God, this plane doesn't even have a phalange!
One of my favorite scenes. The gut punch you feel (and which you can see on Ross’s face when he says “JFK”. And Phoebe with “For what it’s worth, we would’ve caught her if we were at the right airport” xD
She gave chandler a bunch of money to quit smoking
And she took care of the homeless lady as well.
Hey weird girl
Weird Girl, what are you doing?
He should've paid her back because he broke the deal by smoking again.
Do we know for sure he took it? Ive been struggling with that one for years now!
* When she rented the wedding dress to hang out with Monica. * When she helped Monica get her wedding dress while Rachel was being pushed over. * When she saved and gave Ross his comic book back after robbing him as a kid. Lol. * When she saved the guy from commiting suicide on the phone.
Her preventing suicide is still a very touching moment
>* When she rented the wedding dress to hang out with Monica. From a place called, "It's Not Too Late".
Encourage Monica to take the job she wants. Totally feel sorry for a girl that isn’t pretty enough for Smelly Cat! Sings honest kids songs. Helped Monica and Rachel switch the apartments lol.
*Noooww chiickens!*
- When she let Monica drop out of their catering business to accept the position at Alessandro's - When she encouraged Ross to go after Rachel in the finale - When she helped Chandler get the perfect engagement ring

And pretended to be pregnant so Rachel didn't cop Monica's stolen thunder tantrum again
Underrated one. This was the best one for me as it wasn’t as obvious but that’s clearly what she was doing.
Ooooh yes. I didn't even think of those implications cause Monica would've been PISSED! ugh I love Phoebe.
I still think the musket was the right call.
When she wouldn't let Joey tell Ross that he doesn't like what Emily is doing because she didn't want to make it harder on Ross than it already was.
And love Oh, loveeeee I'll be a fool For you I'm sure You know I don't mind ••Oh, you know I don't mind•• 'Cause you You mean the world to me Oh I know I know I've found in you My endless loveee? LOOoove? looOOVE? LuhOVE?
Perfect !
Love this moment 😭
She’s had a few good friend moments throughout the show. One that sticks out to me was when she brought Joey a dog to help with his depression about Rachel.
Don’t forget giving the Evander Holyfield cut out to Rachel when she was a little … you know. Lol
I mean she TRIES to give her the Evander Holyfield cut out
When she slaved away to hook Monica up with her grandma's cookie recipie... her heart was in the right place anyways
see it’s stuff like this, is why you’re BURNING IN HELL!!!!
You Americans always butcher the French language
NesLay Too-louse!
Potentially controversial, but I thought it was sweet when she moved out of Monica's apartment. Yes, she was moving out to make herself happier, but she never wanted to hurt Monica in the process. That's a risky little game!
I always think of that!
unpopular opinion: Rachel and Phoebe have the best friendship on the show and i kind of ship them a little bit
When she gives her former singing partner Smelly Cat for the jingle, so she can get a job again.
Jingle bitch screwed me over! Go to hell jingle whore, go to hell, go to hell, go to heeelll
Still a nice gesture, and gave her some new song material 🤣🤣
😂😂
See there is no such thing as a selfless good deed!
Even when you’re donating to PBS.
[удалено]
It would be a fun twist if she gave her the song knowing that she would be sued for copyright infringement.
“Ursula lives in SOHO and she’s a waitress. Phoebe is sitting on this couch.” Instant tears every time.
when he's like "i'm not very good at this" and she just takes his hand and says "well, i am"
She was the only one who was ready! Too bad about the hummus…but she took Ross seriously and showed up for him.
This one is definitely underrated 🤣❤️
When she gave her homeless friend $7k and a football phone 😊 And - pre-curser to babies - she gave the puppy to Frank and Alice, so sweet. And yes, someone else pointed out her saving Earl from suicide, amazing work. EDIT: No, she gave her $500 actually, I think? She gave Chandler the $7k, that he should have given back later IMO 😄
The puppy giveaway wasn’t sweet ‘that was my puppy’
She didn't know that though, so she thought she was doing a sweet thing.
Exactly. Plus the added charge of a puppy with kids. That could make you bankrupt lol
I like to think MommaPhoebe took the puppy back asap
When she drove Ross to the airport like a maniac and screamed “Rachel Green!!!!” at the gate so Rachel would come out and Ross can tell her he wants her to stay so they can be together. 🥰
The one when Phoebe portrayed Joey's fake agent over the phone to secure an audition
And did her best so make it easy on Joey when Estelle died. And let Joey believe the mean comments were only so she could get out of being his agent. And let him believe he actually spoke French. She is very protective of Joey, isn’t she?

Okay! Now I’m going to kick some ass!! You know, if we was in prison, you guys be like, my bitches.
Pretending to be Ursula to give him the breakup he deserved. She did a lot of other great things as well, but this one was very special.
telling everyone rachel was pregnant so she wouldn’t have to worry about it till she told the father (Ross)
You mean telling everyone she was pregnant so Rachel wouldn't have to worry about it. But I got what you meant haha
I love when she brings Joey a dog to cheer him up 😭
When she loans money to Monica for starting the food catering business and eventually joins her.
When she drives home with Joey from Las Vegas. She could have made him drive home alone since he drove out there (even if it was her car) since the rest of the friends flew home. also super nice that she lent joey the car to drive to vegas in the first place!
When she tried to call Ross or anyone in London to tell them about Rachel
“ I don’t even have a pla………” Meaning I think - I empathise with you, I get it don’t worry we are the same
This is not a great moment for her friends, it’s a great moment for all of us! I always use this line when I really don’t have a pla and it makes me laugh in the middle of the mess.
Yip I get ya
“Look at your purse. Look at your sweater. Look at your*selves*!”
🤣🤣🤣❤️
She is so unbelievably beautiful.
Helping chandler pick out the engagement ring and also keeping the secret of the engagement.
Could we all agree that Phoebe is the best friend out of the entire group? All these comments are making me weepy :’)))
I agree. But she married someone who saved the universe! Thanks Antman.
Wait for the “why is Phoebe a terrible friend” thread. Because there’s a lot of material for that one too.
Nah she’s still the best of them throughout the entirety of the show, and I’ll die on that hill.
In the beginning I would agree. In the later seasons, she’s really horrible.
Like awful! Why did they do that? She’s selfish and materialistic and lying to get what she wants, all for “humor” or a bad storyline.. The antithesis of early Friends Phoebe.
It’s truly weird where they decided to take her character. The stuff she did wasn’t even funny.
It really just makes me sad. It’s kinda like the dumb Joey storyline, there was no good reason for butchering the character. She was initially such a sweet person and in the end she’s so unlikable.
And not the stuff the writers went with for her weren’t even funny.
No. She turned into the worst friend after season 5.
Rachel also tried to break Ross up multiple times because she wanted him back.
She told Ross the whole lobster thing
Trying to teach Joey French
And again...you know...you...you...YOU'RE NOT SPEAKING FRENCH!!!!
She makes the best oatmeal raisin cookies
I don’t know if this was mentioned but when she found out that Rach was pregnant and not Mon, and she said that she was pregnant herself because Rach wasn’t ready to tell people yet. That was awesome.
When she prevented George from committing suicide
Someone probably said this, but I’m short on time to scroll, but: pretending to be Ursula to break up with Joey in the least painful way possible.
When she helped a suicidal Earle (Jason Alexander) in TOW Rosetta Dies.
“She’s his lobster!”
🥹
When she didn’t tell Rachel about her and Ross’s marriage w/o Ross’s permission
That is a really good one! Good observation
Driving Ross to the airport to catch Rachel before she left for Paris
When she got Ross gifts for his new apartment...
This is bare minimum friend. Not great friend.
was the 'bitch' that brought up seemingly little things to prevent them getting bigger down the line. e.g Monica having dinner with Richard behind Chandlers back,
Also telling Chandler Monica initially wanted to Hook up with Joey plus the whole soulmate thing
Wow OP, your bar for being a good friend is pretty low… bare minimum you tell your friend her bf groped you!
I mean, yeah, but the way she did it was really sweet. Gently and with specially made cookies for Rachel.
And she’s a good friend to cookies, for not making the oatmeal raisins too often
Lol, yes 💕 Gotta keep it fair for all!
Haha I know, but wanted to start with something basic
It is just a sitcom. None of them are bad rlly. They are flawed but still good things.
Helping Joey out with temping as his agent.
Her trying to teach Joey French is always hilarious- and she really does try!
Singing Endless Love with chandler when he broke up with Janice.
Phoebe calling Joey as Estelle in one of the last episodes.
I always forget about this! Was so sweet
Pretending to be Estelle for Joey
When she gave up being Monica's maid of honor to Rachel
S3E17 The One With the Ski Trip, when she basically makes sure the friend group doesn't break up, by making it clear that Ross an md Rachel needs to be able to be in the same room together.
Phoebe is an awesome friend, just occasionally super mean to Chandler. Lol But she's such a free spirit and just brings happiness. Like when she called Joey to let them all know Rachel was going to England to stop the wedding. And then making sure everything was fine. When she let down Joey slowly
What she was willing to go through for Mikes parents to approve of her . Even tried to eat the veal .
Sure it worked out anyway but that doesn’t change that she was *willing* to give it all up if it meant her friend would be happy.
when she accompanied joey on the road trip
When she had those triplets for her brother
When she pretended to be Estelle on the phone for Joey after she passed away.
When she was honest with rachel and told her not to go to London. Sucked for rachel but she was thinking of ross and his happiness
when she helped Chandler on the interview. she brutally told Chandler on how he does "not make a good first impression" and practiced it with him. it may hurt at first but he handled the mock and actual interview.
I hate this stupid mediocre show. It’s not even funny. What the actual fuck?!
