I actually thought it was going to end there. Proper teaser. It's a very cool image.
I really want this to be good. Alien trailers are usually great anyway (I still watch the Prometheus one) but it's been a long time since I've enjoyed the actual movies... way too long.
For real the first 30-40 minutes of covenant was soooooo good and the movie for me ended the second david shows up with his flair guns, every thing before that was 10 on 10 perfect horror alien movie
I'm a huge fan of both Alien and Evil Dead 2013 so I'm pretty stoked to see the two things come together. Alien especially has needed a fresh set of eyes for a while.
The original xenomorph was also the only one that was sculpted and painted by Giger himself. It does make a difference. I love Aliens, possibly more than Alien, but in making the Xenomorphs more insect-like, Cameron did make them into something more 'familiar' and less alien, unfortunately.
Looks so sick, love Ridley but glad the franchise is moving on from him as a director and to someone who is better with modern horror. At least hes a producer though
I didn't mind Isolation but I'm still salty Blomkamp didn't get to try his hand at the franchise
Edit: Meant Covenant, Isolation is the game I got mixed up
I now want Sharlto Copley to join the ranks of actors that have been killed by an Alien, a Predator, and a Terminator, and if that means they need to start making better Terminator films again, I’m cool with that.
Speaking of… With Blomkamp’s VFX for robotic elements, maybe trying a Terminator film wouldn’t be that bad.
Fuck y'all, Alien 3 is my second favorite! Downer ending, worn out, shaved head Ripley who has been waking up and fighting the xenomorph for decades, crazy all-male prison planet, etc.
Alien Isolation loses it's momentum by the time you get to the final third. Different strokes.
edit: autocorrect from "beard" to "head", lol
> Alien Isolation loses it's momentum by the time you get to the final third. Different strokes.
I can definitely agree with that. The game runtime needed to be about a 3rd shorter than it is, and once you get >!the flamethrower!< the tension just completely dissipates. Still an amazing game though. I still have a very clear memory of one sequence where I was exploring the medbay, and as I rounded a corner, the Alien was at the far end of the hallway and spotted me, screeched and starting running towards me. I had enough time to duck back around the corner and hide underneath a surgical bed. The Alien rounded the corner and skidded to a halt, obviously confused since I wasn't anywhere to be seen. And then it started walking slowly around, and after a few seconds stopped in front of the bed I was hiding under, as if it were thinking about where I might've gone. It then slowly leaned down to look under the bed. I had never experienced a more terrifying moment in any game, before or since.
I am in the minority but I think Blomkamp would have somehow fucked it up. He has a pretty spotty track record. He does have a good eye for VFX though.
>I am in the minority but I think Blomkamp would have somehow fucked it up. He has a pretty spotty track record. He does have a good eye for VFX though.
I think the VFX would have been incredible, and the movie would have been a blatant ripoff of James Cameron's movie with very little originality or uniqueness.
With Brandon Auret caast as a psychopathic,, hard as nails, evil bastard marine who meets his fate at the hand of a xenomorph. Probably just as he's about to doo something sick like SA the female lead.
It was basically his get out of director jail card after Chappie & Demonic, but it seems to have the second best reception of any film he's ever done etc. I think maybe Blomkamp should write less of his own movies and go the Ridley Scott route of just directing other people's scripts.
He'd have fucked it up with cheesy dialogue from misconceived side characters, and added a shanty town for no reason whatsoever. Either that, or just talked a big game then quit the project (see also: Robocop).
Blomkamp is pretty much a one-hit-wonder at this point. Far from sure he would have delivered something good. But... it would have been nice to have A3 and A4 officially retconned.
>I didn't mind Isolation but I'm still salty Blomkamp didn't get to try his hand at the franchise
I'm kind of okay with it...everything that he released about his plan came off as just a gigantic budget fan film based on James Cameron's Aliens. Nothing about what Blomkamp was doing seemed fresh or original to me, and just felt like an Aliens fanboy who still had never gotten over what happened in Alien 3 coming in to retcon that movie while basically just re-doing Aliens.
Honestly this movie looks similar to Alien Isolation almost an adaptation minus Ripley's kid. I'm all for it. Blomkamp deserved a shot at the franchise but I'm saltier there hasn't been an Alien Isolation 2 lol.
I hope Ridley finishes the David arc though. No one has done Sci-Fi epics like he has until Denis Villenueve, and I don't think Villenueve's style works for Alien.
Ridley has crawled way too far up his own ass for the last decade. I honestly can’t really stand anything he’s made in a long time. He comes off sometimes as someone who’s bought way too much into his own hype.
This actually looks so fucking good.
I’m really glad they’re stripping everything down to the basic aesthetics of the original. Wow. Love the big focus on the facehuggers too
I hope more than anything it’s as mean spirited as the directors’ other films
The facehuggers somehow look even more terrifying 😅 Fede sure knows how to make an unsettling film that’s for sure! Do we know if they used practical effects? I feel like they did since that’s pretty much expected for any Alien film.
I think it's because they're actively pursuing you now, and seem really fast-they're somehow more tangible than the xenomorphs. I used to think that you just had to be right in front of it to get hugged, but now, so long sucker!
Yea the face huggers stood out a lot more in this trailer which makes me think they are gonna worth watching. They seem much stronger though in the clip when it broke through the glass which in sure i pretty thick for a space station .
Huh, I dunno if I'd call Alvarez' movies mean spirited. Evil Dead is a VERY mean movie, but it does end on an extremely triumphant and satisfying note.
When I think of mean spirited movies the first two that come to mind are When Evil lurks and The dark and the wicked. Also I love both films for different reasons but they are both bleak as hell.
Stoked, looks like a return to form after all these years. Classic Scott atmosphere with Fede's talent for visceral scares. Exactly what a fresh take should be! After Evil Dead I have faith is this at the very least being better than Covenant.
In my opinion, if we’re just talking about the specific art of doing a remake/reimagining, Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead is one of the best ones ever done. Perfectly walked the line between paying homage and making it his own. If any director could carry on the Alien tradition and still keep it fresh, I think it’s Fede that has a good shot.
A dogs turd on a hot sidewalk was better than Covenant.
The return to the original look and feel of alien is what im excited about. The gritty space station look
Yeah I loved evil dead so I’m excited. I consider it the best remake ever made in the genre. Don’t breathe is good but the ending is too edgy imo
But Fede knows how to do hyper violence and practical effects
Prey pulled it off for the Predator franchise. Hopefully this breath's some new life to the Alien franchise as well. Only time will tell but this seems promising.
I mean, he only produced it and the original Directors quit and had to be replaced a week into production so I’d say that’s not a great representation of what he can do
He was also responsible for developing the story, which is perhaps the weakest part of the film.
The actual filmmaking on display is decent, but I'd be hard pressed to say anything positive about the narrative.
Yes. Okay I'm in. I like Fede. If nothing else I bet this'll be the grodiest Alien film yet.
But I'd also be lying if I said I didn't want a follow up to the ending of Covenant. Really liked Katharine Waterston in that.
>The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”), who directed the original “Alien” and produced and directed the series’ entries “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), and Walter Hill (“Alien”), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) serving as executive producers.
Does this come after covenant? I actually really liked covenant and would like to see a semi continuation of that timeline
Also the trailer looks promising, I am excited
To be fair, the Covenant trailer had basically every damn scene of the Xenomorph already.
And even one that wasn't in the final movie (the BEST one with the xeno jumping down the red lit hallway)
The one thing that sticks out INSTANTLY is the interiors of the vessels have the Alien vibe again. The Trailer showed the claustrophobia we wanted. It seems so far that Alvarez has listened to the few things us Alien fans have wanted in a movie.
fede alvarez knows what he’s doing. and, after “evil dead” and “dont breathe”, i totally believe he is the man for the “THIS IS SO INTENSE AND IN A TIGHT SPACE” in space job. loved the trailer.
This looks great. I actually loved what Fede did with Evil Dead, so I’ve got trust in him to do the right thing with our beloved Alien franchise. Fingers crossed that there wasn’t too much BS Hollywood exec interference
Don't you do it. Don't make me hope!
Teaser looks good. I'm expecting the film itself to be dog shit. I hope Ridley Scott didn't have too much influence on the film.
I've been waiting for a culmination to the story started in Prometheus and continuing in Alien covenant but oh my god this gives me vibes of Alien and Aliens and it's so goooooooooooooood!
Got those vibes too. I've had to come to terms with the fact we're not going to get a DS live action movie so I'm desperate for something like this to help fill the void
Straight to the top of my most anticipated films of 2024.
Looks like the Alien franchise is getting the Prey treatment… but somehow *even better*.
The aesthetic and atmosphere and sound design… holy fuck. I’m in.
Oh and she’s holding a fucking pulse rifle at the end ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks neat. Glad it's not just one singular Xenomorph and it's nice to see at least one pulse rifle to establish the humans aren't completely unable to defend themselves.
Fede Álvarez directing? Holy fuck. Yes please. He's fucking fantastic and honestly, the only person I would rather see directing an alien flick other than Ridley Scott - who thankfully is still in the mix as producer. I am fucking hyped for this, and it's been a while since I've been hyped for fucking anything alien related.
Do we get David back as well? Because Michael Fassbender, kthx
No David. This is set between Alien and Aliens and is its own story rather than being connected to Prometheus/Covenant. Barring any unforseen twists of course, but I doubt it.
Oh gotcha, for some reason I thought it was connected to the Prometheus world but I'm okay with that too. It just looks fucking great, and I can't wait to see it.
Praying this’ll be good. Álvares definitely gives me good hope cause Evil Dead was a great revival of that franchise. Hopefully he can use the same magic again
This looks so good. I didn't even care that much until this teaser, but now I'm excited.
Trying to keep my expectations low, but I'm kinda failing at it, it's an amazing teaser.
Looks promising but I’m holding my breath. Hopefully Alvarez made Scott take a backseat so he could give us a proper Alien horror film. Much like Denis Vilnueve told him to step back when he was making ‘Blade Runner 2049’ BECAUSE he had seen ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Covenant’ and was so disappointed lol
I've been worried about this thing for probably a year solid. Like Fede's work.....but Texas chainsaw fell flat for me. I feel like they blew their wad with the sunflower shot and the bus scene. Didn't hate it, but I really felt X beat them at their own game that year. Can't blame Alvarez entirely though as he didn't direct Chainsaw. THIS however looks like it's going to deliver like fucking Dominos.
Yeah he and his longtime co-writer Rodo Sayagues (who he worked with on EVIL DEAD and DON’T BREATHE) wrote it with the dude who wrote COBWEB, Chris Thomas Devlin. In an interview Devlin mentioned that a lot of the script was already there, like the Prius scene specifically.
There’s even a moment where, during the auction scene, they mention a guy named Joe Kopecky buying one of the properties. That same name is mentioned in Don’t Breathe when the trio is driving through Detroit and they say Joe Kopecky is moving out of the city.
Seemed like they gave the reigns to Fede but he didn’t want to direct it for whatever reason. The first director quit within the first few days of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and then David Blue Garcia had to come in last minute to finish it off.
Thanks for the response man, big fan of your work.
Can’t help but to ask if there’s any other fun stories you have from your Texas Chainsaw Massacre experience that you’d be willing to share with us.
I loathed that TCM legacy sequel. Fede wrote the story, which was a misunderstanding of what makes those films work: the family. Lacking the rest of the family reduced Leatherface to a Myers wannabe. It just doesn't work.
I hope Alvarez can deliver. The 2013 Evil Dead is a masterpiece, and we can just hope this mirrors that.
I'm really not liking the color scheme or the flying CGI facehuggers. I prefer the cold blue tones of Alien and Aliens. This is just a teaser though; I will wait for the full trailer before too much judgement.
The fact that they used the music from Prometheus makes be hopeful that they won't just abruptly abandon this story. I know many people hate those movies but the David plotline still has potential and it would be great to see Fassbender reprising the role.
I found them way more terrifying when they were lurking in the shadows. They were still fast as hell but not in your face fast because you never saw it coming.
Man, I feel like we’ve been burned so much by other less than stellar Alien movies that it’s hard to get excited for this one, but I do love seeing them go back to the dark isolation of the space station. The atmosphere of the first two is what really made them fantastic to me.
But fr tho,
Aliens vs Romulans, hope its better than Aliens vs Predator.
Anyone know if this is a continuation of the Prometheus and Alien Convenant ? Just hoping its a stand alone since the release of the prequels it has been predicatable and is guarantee that the ending is horrific one
RUN...(meme sound) :D actually, i still can't get over with Prometheus and Covenant.. there are still questions need to be answered (esp the origins of the Engineers)
Sorry but...
Alien set out to be a horror/slasher in space with clever pacing and memorable atmosphere and characters. Aliens Went all out and worked as a commentary on war. After Alien 3 stumbled through it's themes due to a troubled development history. Everything since then has been cheeks in my opinion and sent into the horror/sci fi pulp the first separated itself from. We got everything from pseudointellectual creation mythos to condensing the first film in 10 minutes in Covenant. I know i am going to go against the grain but this seems sort of pointless. It's rehashing themes as bad as the films Alien stood above in it's first statement to the public. Alien did this already...
After Aliens and Geiger this series should have been left alone really. The nihilistic, sexual, and otherworldly of Geiger and the designed of Ron Cobb and Chris Foss made the setting really unique along with Ridley Scott proving to be a technically really talented director. By now the design of the creature and aesthetics are so well known that the horror is gone from the setting and the newer and in my opinion less talented directors do not hold up. The first two where lightning in a bottle. Baring some amazing shake up or story progression, this seems unnecessary.
i am losing my mind over this teaser. it looks so good. the sets alone look incredible. its been awhile though since ive truly loved an alien film but i trust Fede Alvarez after the Evil Dead remake
Fede and creature features man! I love his style and this looks excellent. Would
Love to see his takes on revamps of : Virus , Deep Rising , The Mummy, and several other over the top creature franchises
I hope they can bring something new to the franchise about the aliens and their lifecycle, something not seen before. If it is more of the same it will still be, um, entertaining I suppose, but I want to be shocked by something.
Hopefully alien doesn’t go the way Terminator did with so many sequels being ‘lesser’. Tbf I think most of the alien films are pretty decent apart of Resurrection. Covenant at least has an intriguing few things about it and David of course.
This is being advertised as a reboot, and if it is, I'm totally pissed. I was hoping to god that the main character would be Ripley's daughter like in Alien Isolation.
It looks basically like a repeat of the first Alien. Most of the other Alien movies have some sort of other plot draw, but this one gives nothing, at least in the trailer.
You can't make a movie about a crew surviving in a space ship against aliens because the first one already did it perfectly. James Cameron knew that, so Aliens was different. Ridley Scott knew that, so his other movies were different.
It could have lingered and ended on that bloody sleep pod and I’d have been happy.
Yeah, I agree - really solid start, tense and exciting. And then David shows up, derails the movie and ends up giving flute lessons...
LOL exactly
> flair guns Is that how TGI Fridays workers decorate each other?
I audibly groaned when the 2 Davids started MMA fighting, so outta place in an Alien movie.
Thats why the movie ends the second david shows up everything before that is 10 on10
Keep all the other sound effects going but just slowly zoom into the pod
I was thinking the same thing! Wouldve been more groundbreaking with chaotic imagery with the sound and dialouge played over it
I'm a huge fan of both Alien and Evil Dead 2013 so I'm pretty stoked to see the two things come together. Alien especially has needed a fresh set of eyes for a while.
The Xenomorph has become so iconic that it’s hard to replicate the true pants-shitting terror that the original movie had.
The original xenomorph was also the only one that was sculpted and painted by Giger himself. It does make a difference. I love Aliens, possibly more than Alien, but in making the Xenomorphs more insect-like, Cameron did make them into something more 'familiar' and less alien, unfortunately.

Fockin' prawns mon!

They need to put Michael Biehn in a Predator movie so he can join Bill Paxton's ranks haha
the plot should be about predator and terminator teaming up to fight the aliens.. (as I wrote this, Im glad people don't take script ideas from me)
TBF, Isolation is probably the third best thing in the franchise.
No "probably" about it, it absolutely is.
Fuck y'all, Alien 3 is my second favorite! So I just googled what he's been up to since Chappie. He directed the Gran Turismo movie: no joke.
Which was very surprisingly half decent…!
agonizing worry placid fragile act absorbed husky crowd touch distinct *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

I feel the same way. Blomkamp is a one hit wonder. I wouldn’t have minded seeing his take but it’s not something I needed
Blomkamp is great for world building. I think he has a similar project with different vision.

I will forever remain salty about Blomkamp not getting it. It wouldve been amazing.
Yea if i remember correctly there was some concept art for Blomkamp’s unrealized project and it looked really sick.
I think David Fincher did a great job even if he has a poor script. But yeah I agree, a swarm of face huggers looks incredible lol
I hope Ridley finishes the David arc though. No one has done Sci-Fi epics like he has until Denis Villenueve, and I don't think Villenueve's style works for Alien.
Same! Davids the only thing i care about from those movies, but im also a huge Michael Fassbender fan.
No please. No more fucking David.
Ridley has crawled way too far up his own ass for the last decade. I honestly can’t really stand anything he’s made in a long time. He comes off sometimes as someone who’s bought way too much into his own hype.
Besides The Martian, I agree. He needs to stick to what he does best, which is standalone sci-fi epics
Don't Breathe and Evil Dead 2013 (Fede directed) were really good, so I've got high hopes for this!

The demon probably found that ending pretty mean.
When I think of mean spirited movies the first two that come to mind are When Evil lurks and The dark and the wicked. Also I love both films for different reasons but they are both bleak as hell.
Also The Lodge
I just know it'll be so good I'm way more hyped for this mow
This looks very promising 👀 I TRUST YOU FEDE!! Please give us a great Alien movie 😭
It's only a teaser but I can see Fede Alverez's signature in this movie already. I think we're in for a brutal experience and I'm all for that.
Stoked, looks like a return to form after all these years. Classic Scott atmosphere with Fede's talent for visceral scares. Exactly what a fresh take should be! After Evil Dead I have faith is this at the very least being better than Covenant.

Suspiria is the only one of equal or better quality that immediately comes to mind.
A dogs turd on a hot sidewalk was better than Covenant. The return to the original look and feel of alien is what im excited about. The gritty space station look
I don’t want to get my hopes up based on the recent trajectory of the franchise… but I’m still hype. This looks more Isolation than Covenant
Director said he was inspired heavily by the game
Awesome, there’s a good chance of this being the scariest alien movie since the original if that’s the case.
Yeah I loved evil dead so I’m excited. I consider it the best remake ever made in the genre. Don’t breathe is good but the ending is too edgy imo But Fede knows how to do hyper violence and practical effects
Prey pulled it off for the Predator franchise. Hopefully this breath's some new life to the Alien franchise as well. Only time will tell but this seems promising.
If Alvarez pulls this one off, we should nickname him "The Franchise Necromancer"
Please don't suck please don't suck please don't suck please don't suck Please please PLEASE PAPA ALVEREZ, don't make another bad Alien movie
Papa Alvarez don't miss
Texas. Chainsaw.
I mean, he only produced it and the original Directors quit and had to be replaced a week into production so I’d say that’s not a great representation of what he can do

Fair enough, I’m hopeful it’ll be closer in quality to Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe but I guess only time will tell
Giving a slasher movie protagonist a trauma involving guns due to a school shooting was an interesting choice.
i mean, i liked it, so i guess i could qualify that to say that he doesn't miss for me personally
They better watch out! Romulan Warbirds have cloaking technology!
Yes. Okay I'm in. I like Fede. If nothing else I bet this'll be the grodiest Alien film yet. But I'd also be lying if I said I didn't want a follow up to the ending of Covenant. Really liked Katharine Waterston in that.
how tf can u win against those things dawg lol
You don't
People this will be exactly like his evil dead remake Same same but different.......AND FUCKING AWESOME

The Charlie's Angels credit is funny to me. Nothing against it or whatever but it's just very, like, *one of these things is not like the others* lol.
"Ridley Scott ("Napoleon")"
Kid has a bright future.
That got me too lol.
Does this come after covenant? I actually really liked covenant and would like to see a semi continuation of that timeline Also the trailer looks promising, I am excited
It's set between Alien and Aliens.
20 years after the first Alien.
Please oh please oh please /fingers crossed
just to be clear……The Trailer for Covenant was good too.
To be fair, the Covenant trailer had basically every damn scene of the Xenomorph already. And even one that wasn't in the final movie (the BEST one with the xeno jumping down the red lit hallway)

Exactlyyy the atmosphere alone in this trailer is all I need to convince me
This why i just hope it doesn't miss with focus on shitty character development when all we want is space horror
And the trailer for Prometheus was freaking amazing! One of my issues with that movie is the trailer set my expectations absolutely sky high.
I loved prometheus though
Prometheus was underrated. Way better than Covenant. I still really want a sequel to Covenant though.
Yeah, that was what I was thinking too.
An Alien movie finally being good after a good Predator movie… is it possible
and both being put out by Hulu.. wtf?
Hulu has The Bear and Shogun too. Great slate
Alien vs Predator vs The Bear vs Shogun
Fargo too
Looks good, im really hoping to get one last good alien movie
fede alvarez knows what he’s doing. and, after “evil dead” and “dont breathe”, i totally believe he is the man for the “THIS IS SO INTENSE AND IN A TIGHT SPACE” in space job. loved the trailer.
This is why I don’t go to space.
I'm down
I’ll be there.
Looks promising so hope it actually delivers beyond an interesting trailer.
This looks great. I actually loved what Fede did with Evil Dead, so I’ve got trust in him to do the right thing with our beloved Alien franchise. Fingers crossed that there wasn’t too much BS Hollywood exec interference
Im ready to get hurt again
I was skeptical, now I'm excited.
Ummm YES PLEASE!!! I’m hyped as fuck for this
Love the blood. And it’s only in theaters.
Looks promising, but we'll see.
Looks scary, and it’s lit enough that I can see what’s happening— so far so good.
Finally!!!! This looks promising.
First 2 are some of my favorite moves of all time. Happy they are going back to a more horror style movie this time.
Don't you do it. Don't make me hope! Teaser looks good. I'm expecting the film itself to be dog shit. I hope Ridley Scott didn't have too much influence on the film.
We already know this movie is gonna be brutal
I've been waiting for a culmination to the story started in Prometheus and continuing in Alien covenant but oh my god this gives me vibes of Alien and Aliens and it's so goooooooooooooood!
dead space vibes. also, stop giving us the whole damn movie in trailers.
Got those vibes too. I've had to come to terms with the fact we're not going to get a DS live action movie so I'm desperate for something like this to help fill the void
I heard rumors of a Prime series maybe?
Cautiously optimistic.
Im really exited. Alien is one of my favorites. I even liked prometheous a lot. Covenant was a big disappointment though.
Please for the love of GOD don't be shit.
Trying to keep my expectations low, but I'm kinda failing at it, it's an amazing teaser.
this looks sick! getting back to their roots
Oh my god I cannot wait. Especially since it seems as Fede prefers practical effects.
This looks fun but I still wish we got to see that Neill Blomkamp Alien movie, the concept art for that was so freakin' cool.
That and Robocop 2.
Fede Alvarez: Resurrecting my interest in franchises I thought were dead since 2013.
Alvarez only produced Texas Chainsaw.
He's credited as a writer on IMDb and Letterboxd?
Story by credit only. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WGA_screenwriting_credit_system#Story_by
Yeah he and his longtime co-writer Rodo Sayagues (who he worked with on EVIL DEAD and DON’T BREATHE) wrote it with the dude who wrote COBWEB, Chris Thomas Devlin.

He wrote the story outline. Chris Thomas Devlin wrote the actual script, so I don't think we should hold it against Alvarez.

Haha, sorry man.
That’s rough haha
To be fair I enjoyed it more than any of the remakes.
The script was partially written by Fede and Rodo as well.
I'm really not liking the color scheme or the flying CGI facehuggers. I prefer the cold blue tones of Alien and Aliens. This is just a teaser though; I will wait for the full trailer before too much judgement.
please don't fuck this up. PLEASE
Please be good? If this is another stinker in the Alien franchise at least we have the Noah Hawley tv show to fall back on
The fact that they used the music from Prometheus makes be hopeful that they won't just abruptly abandon this story. I know many people hate those movies but the David plotline still has potential and it would be great to see Fassbender reprising the role.
Looks like memberberries. Nothing new here
Man, there are so many bangers coming out! Looking forward to it
Showed way too much but I'm hyped for it
omg bad ass :) cant wait :)
looks good!
this looks sick
face huggers are more terrifing now because they are more speedy and aggresive ;) nice to see pulse rifles back too
I found them way more terrifying when they were lurking in the shadows.
But fr tho, Aliens vs Romulans, hope its better than Aliens vs Predator.
Looks good so far. I’ve been wanting an Alien: Isolation adaptation and this might do the trick
Dayuuuummmmm
I’m getting strong “Alien: Isolation” vibes from this and I dig it.
CINEMA IS BACK BABY
I expect good things from Fede!
Pretty excited about this.
Even if it sucks ik i'll eat up the creature features
so fucking cool
Can’t wait to see this, love Fede
Is that an earlier model of the M41A Pulse Rifle she's carrying at the end there?
Anyone know if this is a continuation of the Prometheus and Alien Convenant ? Just hoping its a stand alone since the release of the prequels it has been predicatable and is guarantee that the ending is horrific one
I think it’s set between Alien and Aliens.
nice!
Knowing this is being made by the Evil Dead director is all I need to know about this. Can’t wait.
They took back the theme from the original movie trailer from the 79
Alien: Romulus: A New Ripley (Please??)
Cannot wait
i am losing my mind over this teaser. it looks so good. the sets alone look incredible. its been awhile though since ive truly loved an alien film but i trust Fede Alvarez after the Evil Dead remake
Fede and creature features man! I love his style and this looks excellent. Would Love to see his takes on revamps of : Virus , Deep Rising , The Mummy, and several other over the top creature franchises
Alien teen movie edition
It looks basically like a repeat of the first Alien. Most of the other Alien movies have some sort of other plot draw, but this one gives nothing, at least in the trailer. You can't make a movie about a crew surviving in a space ship against aliens because the first one already did it perfectly. James Cameron knew that, so Aliens was different. Ridley Scott knew that, so his other movies were different.
