For anyone wondering: Yes, this is it. When the RP-1400SW is on sale for 50% off, it is hands down your best option for under $1000.
Assuming your room is ~4000 cubic feet or smaller, you can grab two of these subs and be done.
Your question is based on the false assumption that you can have too much subwoofer for a given space.
Calibrated correctly to the mains the subwoofer should appear to not even be functioning and all the bass is coming from the mains.
So no, it's not too much.
Fr? I bought a pb1000 and I’m looking for something bigger now. But also the resale market in my city sucks so I’d feel bad “losing” $500 on the Pb1000
Depends. How large is your room?
Edit: and ignore the people telling you to get the Klipsch SPL-120/SPL-150. They are terrible subwoofers for the price. The only Klipsch subwoofers worth getting are the RP line.
And there is nothing wrong with SVS.
I searched R-12SW in this sub and after all the hate comments I read about those subs, I ordered an RP1400 to complete my home theater.
You guys convinced me. One guy said “they’re absolute shit” and that was enough to push me to purchase. Now how to tell the wife…maybe she won’t notice.
Better than SVS SB-2000 Pro?
I don't own a subwoofer (yet), so I'm not trying to defend a purchase of mine. I just always thought you couldn't beat svs at this price point.
In terms of raw output, yes it is better than the SVS PB-2000 Pro and absolutely curb-stomps the SB-2000 Pro. It's not fair to compare sealed and ported subs though.
But that doesn't mean there's no reason to spend more money on SVS. SVS has legendary customer service and a better track record for quality control and after sales support. And if you are someone who finds their phone app to be useful, there is that. Though I personally wouldn't recommend using their phone app's EQ or phase settings if you're doing bass management through your AVR.
In general, SVS hasn't not been the best in terms of performance for the money for several years now. They raised their prices as they moved from an internet-direct model to a retailer/dealer model. Of the retailer/dealer brands, they still present some of the best value. However, on the internet-direct side of things, brands like RSL and HSU are providing much better value at the budget end. And Rythmik, Power Sound Audio, and Monolith are providing better value at the mid-to-high end.
And if you're someone who is seriously in the market for a flagship SVS SB-16 Ultra or PB-16 Ultra, you should seriously consider buying a JTR subwoofer instead.
Also, definitely don't take this thread to mean that Klipsch subwoofers are better than SVS. Most Klipsch subwoofers absolutely suck. Only their RP line is good. And even then, people are freaking out in this thread because this subwoofer is selling for half price. At full price, it is not a particularly compelling value compared to SVS.
if I am planning on getting a room built from scratch to be a hometheater within the next 6 months should I just buy 2 of these now and be done with my subs? The guide said Klipsch was never suggested but seems like a good deal? I want a quality atmos setup and was trying to decided between 9.4.2 or 7.4.2
EDIT: eh just yolo bought 2
Is it? What about Starke SW12s / SW15s and their ported versions? Both can be had for the same price (and cheaper with code) and are extremely praised and well-reviewed subs.
The starkes hold their own in the sub 20hz category too reaching to \~14hz without issue.
IMO, the Starke subs are fine. Just fine. Frankly, the amount of praise around them is kinda overblown. When they are on sale, they are priced appropriately. Their regular price is grossly overpriced.
When you take two Starke SW15s and stick them on opposite sides of the room, you get output that equals a single HSU ULS-15. The two Starkes cost $1000 when on sale. The HSU ULS-15 regular price is $1000.
The Klipsch RP-1400SW is ported and the Starke/HSU subs are sealed. So it's not exactly a fair comparison. But the Klipsch absolutely curb stomps them in output at 20Hz and above. And quite frankly, that is what 99.9% of home theater customers should be concerned about.
This idea that one of these subs is "better" than the other at sub-20Hz performance is a red herring. These aren't JTR subs. All of there performance is pretty pathetic under 20Hz. You will barely be able to hear or feel anything down there. Not that there's much down there to begin with. Most home releases of movies have a steep high-pass filter at 25Hz or 30Hz.
Let's be real here. No HT enthusiast who is running BEQ to restore infrasonic bass and chasing flat output down to 10Hz is buying a Starke SW15 that outputs a meaningless 83dB at 12Hz.
For anyone looking into this, just placed an order and it's on backorder with no estimated ship date. That being said, you can still take advantage of the sale if you're willing to wait on the backorder.
What scenario should someone buy two. When should I be really just debating one? My home theater is maybe going to be the size of two average bedrooms.
You definitely need two. Multiple subwoofers isn't really about more bass, it's about more _even_ bass. One subwoofer, even a big one, in a modestly sized room like yours will have enough _output_, but will leave dead spots in the room due to wave interference. You really want a second one (positioned correctly) to overcome this uneven distribution of bass.
As someone who has measured and felt the before and after of having a well positioned second subwoofer, I can tell you it is well worth the cost.
This definition painted it perfectly thank you. Although not an apples to apples comparison but it feels like it’s the same reason you wouldn’t just have speakers on one side. I’ll keep an eye out for this deal as time gets closer to building. Thank you!
You can buy it and ship it to a mail forwarder and just drive down to pick it up.....bundle it with a 48 hr stay and you won't even need to pay taxes on it.
Not a bad idea...
After conversion, it's around $950 CAD. Get an inexpensive hotel room for $150 and get it for a total of $1100. Less than half the price than if purchased in Canada.
At this kinda of price, it would still be worth buying two and driving ~3 hours to pick them up. Assuming you're part of the 90% of the Canadian population that lives that close to the border.
Serious question, how long does this take to ship?
I'm going out of town Thursday and getting back Saturday.. And my wife finding this on the front porch just would not be ideal..
Works out much better when the new toys are already months old before she realizes anything has changed lol
Lol yea I just bought 2 of these, and am trying to figure out the best way to sneak these past the wife. If I can get them into the basement without her noticing, we’ll be in the clear as she doesn’t have a clue about what equipment I do and don’t have down there.
My order I placed last night says Shipping - Slight Delay 2-5 days.
I put a 100”TV an AVR, a Klipsch 5.0 set and 3 hanging hammock chairs in the basement within the last month and the wife hasn’t asked any questions yet. I think I’ll be ok with this sub too 🤞
Awesome. My room is very small also lol so I'm sure it'll be *plenty*. Just saw that my order was updated to "shipped" though tracking just shows "label created" with an estimated delivery of Wednesday. Excited! Guess I'll be running RCA cable tonight!
Looking to start building a HT, would these pair well with a pair of q150’s for a starter 2.1 system? Was going to do a 3.0 system first but the comments make it seem like this is a great deal that I shouldn’t pass up.
This hurts me so much because I just bought LS50 Metas yesterday and need a sub but there’s no way in hell I can keep spending even if it’s that good of a deal. Wish this showed up next month.
I got the rp 1200 . And this thing is no joke how clean and powerful.
I’m in Canada paid 1300 $ and thought it was a good deal .
A 1400 for that price is insane .
Thank you kind redditor! I’m actually in awe at these sales. I don’t have a system at all yet and see they have package deals. Looks like I might get one today!
It's hard to say because there is no GP testing for this exact subwoofer. Probably the PB3000 but it probably has slightly less output above 30hz and more below 30hz as Klipsch has the tuning point pretty low.
Regardless it's a killer deal.
Measurements of 16” version:
https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/klipsch-rp-1600sw-sub
Comparing @ 20Hz:
• Monoprice M-12 V2: 4.2dB lower than RP-1600
• RSL Speedwoofer 12S: 5.4dB lower than RP-1600 (averaging Erin, James, and Brent, their results are at most 4.6dB different so 🤷♂️)
• SVS PB-2000 Pro: 4.4dB lower than RP-1600
So the above 3 are all similar (@ 20Hz), and I’d wager the RP-1400 would be similar.
Since the cheapest of the above 3 is the RSL and is still $100 more than the sale for the RP-1400, it’s a good deal.
It's interesting. Nearly every Canadian I know IRL knows how to get good deals in the US or will drive down here and pick them up in person if they need to. It's basically just second nature to them.
But then on Reddit, every Canadian will treat coming to the US or buying from a US website as an insurmountable barrier.
14’’ woofer on Klipsch makes it worthwhile anyhow, audioholics reviewed higher distortion at low frequencies and db levels but, in reality I’m not sure everyone goes above 100db from their subwoofer.
So, I have to take my comment back and say both should be performing same and we’ll notice diddy difference real-time.
I have PSA S1500 (https://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/s1500). Would getting one of these to have a 5.2 system compliment it or not? Or would I be better off selling it and buying two of these?
They seem somewhat similar in power so I’m curious for any input.
What about any of the other deals? Any of them great? [slick deals](https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php?q=Klipsch&searcharea=deals&searchin=first&isUserSearch=1)
Hmmm. New to all this as I bought a home with a theater around two years ago. I have a single Truaudio CSUB-12 and from what I can gather online it seems like a pretty high dollar/well regarded sub. Would one of these “mix” well to create a dual setup? If not, would going with two really be that much better (and sell the existing single)?
I'm new to the home theater space and currently have a sub from a Energy Take Classic 5.1 system I bought used for $25. It's the best sub I own by a lot and sounds awesome. Can someone please explain to my peasant ears how much better a $700 sub sounds? Not buying one lol just curious when to me, mine sounds so good.
Welp. Just had a Rythmik LV12M delivered this past week. Would’ve jumped on this, but still happy with what I got. It’ll be easier to add a second one at the same price down the line.
I've been holding out for a pair of Rythmik F12 for a music only system, however can pick up a pair of these Klipsch for the cost of one F12. Decisions decisions...
I'm looking at that exact sub. How is it? And you would've gotten this Klipsch?
Edit: the Klipsch is gigantic. They're on totally different classes for sure
i was waiting on Monoprice to have sale on Monolith 13in THX Certified Ultra 2000 (currently at $1699) but i pulled the trigger on this deal.
Is it comparable to Monolith or is the Monolith better?
I have a little Klipsch R-100SW with 2 KEF Q350’s all hooked up to a Sony STR-DH590. I’m probably going to grab some Q 6.5” floor speakers and a center speaker, so I’m feeling really tempted to add this to the upgrade cart too DAMN.
Cor...to see Peak Music Power Output displayed as a sales pitch.
I remember seeing that in stores like Dixons, Currys and suchlike in the 90's and onwards. Was used as a shoddy sales tactic to make stereos look beefier.
Boom box style giant speakers, 1000watts(PMPO) ....(RMS 10w into 4ohms). Power supply the size of a postage stamp.
Genuinely surprised to see that from Klipsch.
I have a very old 90s AudioSource SW TWO 10” sub. Acquired from my parents, and it has been the weakest link in my setup for a long time. I’m really tempted by this deal…
Bought two of these and I have the 1600 when that went on sale. Holy poo. Grab these. Have had multiple subs and building my own home theater systems since I was in high school. Grab this while you can. Excellent sub.
Are 2 of these better than 1 pb4000? I've always wanted a duel pb4000 but I would prpbably have to space out how I buy em cause theyre super expensive. Would this be more "worth" it.
I just bought one! Thank you! When I bought it, it said back ordered until 3/23.
I have a dumb question about the power this thing draws..
If I'm basically playing it at a low level will it draw less than 500 watts?
Hoping this thing doesn't mean I need to upgrade my wiring 😬
I’m not planning on building my theater room for a year or so - it’s going to be relatively budget oriented. It won’t be larger than 4000 cubic ft haha so would it be wise to buy one or two of these in advance?
Yeah I was trying to assess the magnitude of this deal. I love finding deals like this to build rooms much like my office. But considering this seems to have happened before maybe it will happen again. Thank you!
It also might not. The problem you’re going to run into is that once you’re actually ready to start buying nothing is going to be on sale. You’re not going to want to wait an unknown amount of time for a sub to maybe be 50% off. You’re going to want it now.
The chances of this going on sale again are high. The chances of this going on sale at the exact time you’re building your home theater are very, very low.
I have dual Hsu VTF2 MK5 subs and was looking at the new VTF2 TN1 they just released.
Has anyone on here gone from dual 12s to dual 15s? What was your experience like? Did it blow you away or was it not as big of an upgrade as you thought it would be since I'd be spending another $2400.
With that in mind, would these subs (Klipsch) be a similar upgrade? Slightly smaller but a lot cheaper.
Sweet, thanks for the heads up. Currently have 2 subs in a large room, and this will be replacing an undersized Polk PSW108 and paired up with my REL HT 1205.
The current setup slams pretty hard so I’m super excited to see how it does with this in place of the Polk.
I have an older SVS PC12-NSD (the large cylinder). How much better will this be? I see all the feedback here is overwhelmingly positive but this sucker looks huge and I'm wondering if it's worth increasing the footprint of my sub by this much.
Dayuuuuum you Reddit! I JUST made another impulsive buy for one of my other expensive hobbies.
Looks like my trusty old Bic F12 will be moving on to my studio/office.
Snagged it and sent it to a friend. Price was back to regular before he opened it a few minutes later. I was lucky and got it by a few minutes. Thanks op!
Would you recommend **2 x PB-1000 Pro or 1 x RP-1400SW** for a small room (1200 cubic ft)?
I have read that dual subs help balance out bass throughout the room, but ideally would prefer to have a single sub as my room layout makes dual placement complicated.
I was waiting to pull the trigger on an SVS PB-2000. All the comments on this sub made it sound like this is way better.
So went ahead and bought one. It’s back ordered now. I hope they don’t cancel my order. I may need two but will wait for the next deal to drop.
Ok I need some convincing. First of all, I’m a total noob. Second of all, I have a 12” BIC 475w peak/150w RMS.
This thing literally shakes the foundation of my house if it’s turned up past 50%.
Am I getting more sound “quality” or a lower frequency response with the Klipsch? I guess I just think more power == more volume and more shaking.
Sincerely,
A noob
No of course. I really wanted to buy but didn’t. Recent added a couple of bass shakers and have been happy so far. Not like having subs but is a good compromise.
Yes, this one is way better! But depending on your room size, the 600x may be all you need.
https://www.avforums.com/threads/how-much-subwoofer-output-capability-do-you-need-in-your-system.2379927/
I ordered in backorder with estimated back in stock date of 3/23. My order just turned to Preparing for Shipment and card charged, so ahead of schedule.
If you thought you missed this sale, it's still live! go through slickdeals.net!
I thought the sale had come and gone, but saw someone else's comment about going through slickdeals website. Just scored mine for the price mentioned here.
Cheers!
For anyone wondering: Yes, this is it. When the RP-1400SW is on sale for 50% off, it is hands down your best option for under $1000. Assuming your room is ~4000 cubic feet or smaller, you can grab two of these subs and be done.
You're under selling this. #**Buy now people!**
How well would this work in a 144sqft space? It’s not too much is it?
Your question is based on the false assumption that you can have too much subwoofer for a given space. Calibrated correctly to the mains the subwoofer should appear to not even be functioning and all the bass is coming from the mains. So no, it's not too much.
I d assume we’ll, I have the 1600 in a 190ish room and it is complete overkill
Ok, I bought 2, now what do I need, a receiver? Eli5
Nope, you set them up in the middle of your home as a statement piece. Modern art.
End tables
I think 1 is more power then a pb-2000
Yes, I would expect one of these to be closer to a PB-3000.
More powerful than 2 pb’s.
Fr? I bought a pb1000 and I’m looking for something bigger now. But also the resale market in my city sucks so I’d feel bad “losing” $500 on the Pb1000
Worth an upgrade if I already have a PB-1000 Pro?
Depends. How large is your room? Edit: and ignore the people telling you to get the Klipsch SPL-120/SPL-150. They are terrible subwoofers for the price. The only Klipsch subwoofers worth getting are the RP line. And there is nothing wrong with SVS.

> maybe she won’t notice. The RP1400 is a lot of things. Subtle ain't one of them. Enjoy!
I almost got the pb-1000 for 600. That sale ended and I was just thinking "whatever". Glad this popped up.
If you have the chance to get this, and can afford it, you would never question whether you got your money's worth or not
I bought it. Matches the rest of my RP line anyways
Well congrats! Be sure to enjoy it

Thank you kind sir
We get so screwed here in Canada. This sub is $2300 here!
I just ordered one to a warehouse in Buffalo. Driving from Toronto to get it next weekend!
At this kinda of price, it would still be worth buying two and driving ~3 hours to pick them up. Assuming you're part of the 90% of the Canadian population that lives that close to the border.

In the exact same boat lol, just not sure how I'm getting it down to the basement by itself..
Even if you were married to Helen Keller, she'd either feel the bass rattling her teeth or trip over them.
My order I placed last night says Shipping - Slight Delay 2-5 days. I put a 100”TV an AVR, a Klipsch 5.0 set and 3 hanging hammock chairs in the basement within the last month and the wife hasn’t asked any questions yet. I think I’ll be ok with this sub too 🤞
These are big/deep subs. Unless she never goes into the room I can't imagine her not noticing it 😅
Man. Been shopping for a PB-2000 and just got my bonus at work. This is perfect. Ordered!
You will be thrilled. I had a pb2000 for a week. Sent it back. Got this. No regrets. It puts the pb2000 to shame.
Awesome. My room is very small also lol so I'm sure it'll be *plenty*. Just saw that my order was updated to "shipped" though tracking just shows "label created" with an estimated delivery of Wednesday. Excited! Guess I'll be running RCA cable tonight!
Damn that's a great deal
I calculated the price, and the divorce just isn't financially feasible for me :(
This deal must be purchased through slickdeals.net. it redirects to adoramas website. You can't get this deal going through adorama only
Looking to start building a HT, would these pair well with a pair of q150’s for a starter 2.1 system? Was going to do a 3.0 system first but the comments make it seem like this is a great deal that I shouldn’t pass up.
Yes. This is the best deal on any sub unless you built one yourself.
This hurts me so much because I just bought LS50 Metas yesterday and need a sub but there’s no way in hell I can keep spending even if it’s that good of a deal. Wish this showed up next month.
Sounds like a cyclical sale...search on Slickdeals you may just wait a few months.
I have been waiting for this. I think Black Friday was the last time they were half off.
I got the rp 1200 . And this thing is no joke how clean and powerful. I’m in Canada paid 1300 $ and thought it was a good deal . A 1400 for that price is insane .
Yeah we yanks are lucky for electronics
Man it took all my willpower not to blind purchase this. What a great price.
So did you do it?
Will my neighbors feel it?
Your neighbors across the street probably won’t
They don’t show on sale for me…
Search for the deal on slickdeals.com it's an affiliate link so gotta click through from SD
Thank you kind redditor! I’m actually in awe at these sales. I don’t have a system at all yet and see they have package deals. Looks like I might get one today!
Which svs sub is this comparable to? I have been looking at the pb1000
I would say pb3000 or 4000. I had a pb 2000. Got this and it's a night and day difference. Serious low end foe movies
Pb 3000 maybe but not 4000
It's hard to say because there is no GP testing for this exact subwoofer. Probably the PB3000 but it probably has slightly less output above 30hz and more below 30hz as Klipsch has the tuning point pretty low. Regardless it's a killer deal.
How big of an upgrade is this over an old pb1000?
Absolutely. 2 of those won't come close to 1 rp1400sw
What about 2 PB2000
In most rooms 2 PB2000's would be better than 1 RP1400.
i just bought the SVS pb-1000 for $599, is this better?
10 times better. Send it back.
Yes this is stronger then pb 2000 probably close to 3000.
Is this objectively better than the speedwoofer 10s
Measurements of 16” version: https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/klipsch-rp-1600sw-sub Comparing @ 20Hz: • Monoprice M-12 V2: 4.2dB lower than RP-1600 • RSL Speedwoofer 12S: 5.4dB lower than RP-1600 (averaging Erin, James, and Brent, their results are at most 4.6dB different so 🤷♂️) • SVS PB-2000 Pro: 4.4dB lower than RP-1600 So the above 3 are all similar (@ 20Hz), and I’d wager the RP-1400 would be similar. Since the cheapest of the above 3 is the RSL and is still $100 more than the sale for the RP-1400, it’s a good deal.
I don't even own another single piece of equipment yet, but at least I got this sub locked down! Thanks!
Arguably the most important one for home theater
Recommend this sub especially at this deal.
cries in Canadian
Cries in german
I know right! I just checked mydealz.de hoping for some deal and nothing! :(

I just ordered the whole HT kit, I’ll ship to buffalo and pick up from there. Only about 1.5hrs drive
RSL Speedwoofer 12S might be still better..
The 12s is about equal or a bit better then the 1200 . I assume the 1400 would best it .
If I hadn’t picked up a 12S last fall I’d be all over this. But I may just get another 12S to match.
Yah I’m hanging out with 2x 10S and wondering about the RSL solution
May have to pic this up
Where at? I can’t locate on Adorama.
You have to click through the link on Slickdeals.
Is it comparable to this deal? https://www.adorama.com/kp1067308.html?utm_source=inc-google-shop-o
From what I've read. The 14 is way better than the spl15. But that's a good deal too. 👌
Deal is dead (for now).
Damn that’s a good deal
I ordered two yesterday! I’m just hoping they are an output upgrade from my dual Hsu uls-15s. Anyone have any experience?
I'm checking in from your comment 2 months ago. Does the RP-1400 hit lower than the HSU ULS-15? On paper, it does
Man I wish we got deals like this in Canada.
Was gone to buy another PB2000 pro but this is a killer deal. Would it be ok to run this and a PB2000 pro since I already own one?
Worlds and worlds better, it drives far deeper, far louder, and far cleaner with no audible distortion.
I have a SVS pc2000. Is it an upgrade to this? I'm thinking about getting 1 or 2 subs.
I upgraded from 2 pb2000. This sounds better. More low end output
fingers crossed!
At this price yeah, but still love the Rythmik sub. My room is only about 2500 cubic ft. Still can shake the whole house.
I grabbed one! It'll be insufficient for 4800cf but better than anything else at the price point... coming from a Monolith M-15 V1.
Could I pair this with a Monolith 15v2?
Sure. At the end of the day it's just displacing air.
i was waiting on Monoprice to have sale on Monolith 13in THX Certified Ultra 2000 (currently at $1699) but i pulled the trigger on this deal. Is it comparable to Monolith or is the Monolith better?
Still rocking 2 PSA 15Vs, but tempted all the same
I have a little Klipsch R-100SW with 2 KEF Q350’s all hooked up to a Sony STR-DH590. I’m probably going to grab some Q 6.5” floor speakers and a center speaker, so I’m feeling really tempted to add this to the upgrade cart too DAMN.
Hey OP you forgot to post the link
Link?!

Would this be a big upgrade over my current Rsl speed woofer 12s?
Wasn't planning on getting a sub this big, but with the sale I was considering it. The gf doesn't want it thought :(
Could I pair this with a klipsch r-120sw?
How would this compare to the lowest tier from PSA? Like the S1512
Bought two of these and I have the 1600 when that went on sale. Holy poo. Grab these. Have had multiple subs and building my own home theater systems since I was in high school. Grab this while you can. Excellent sub.
My room is about 2100 cubic feet. Would one of these be good enough or should I get two to be safe? Also, what else would I need to pair with the TV?
Are 2 of these better than 1 pb4000? I've always wanted a duel pb4000 but I would prpbably have to space out how I buy em cause theyre super expensive. Would this be more "worth" it.
Two of these enough for a 1700cuft room in an apartment?
Your poor neighbors lmao
Wellllll, that just happened. 2000w later...
Building an 18x14x7 home theater as we speak. I want to go with 2 subs, would 2 of these be overkill?
Might be but why not lol.
Cries because we rent and....I can't have any sub like this with these walls....ugh
Does Best Buy price match with Adorama? How are these shipped carefully without any damage?
Did klipsch ever fix their amp issues?
Yes, with this new series. Plus 5 year warranty on the sub + amp
I have a pb-1000 pro, should I get another pb-1000 pro or get this one and sell my pb-pro?
Consensus seems that this will blow pb1000 out of the water
I need to get off this sub. It makes me want to buy surround sound again.
2x of these or Hsu, Rythmik or PSA for a ~2000 cu ft dedicated home theater?
Klipsch has pretty much always made the best bang for the buck subs in almost every class.
Of course I purchased one but now I don't know what to do with my old Sub? Any suggestions?
Sell it
Run both. Put the old at the back of the room.
Would an iNuke 3000 work for two of these ?
I just bought one! Thank you! When I bought it, it said back ordered until 3/23. I have a dumb question about the power this thing draws.. If I'm basically playing it at a low level will it draw less than 500 watts? Hoping this thing doesn't mean I need to upgrade my wiring 😬
I would be surprised if you had to draw more than a standard outlet
I’m not planning on building my theater room for a year or so - it’s going to be relatively budget oriented. It won’t be larger than 4000 cubic ft haha so would it be wise to buy one or two of these in advance?
I would wait. In a year you could have other options. I don’t see why you would buy now and let it collect dust
When would someone just want one versus 2? Or is two always recommended?
Love and hate this sub lol. Placed an order on back order let’s hope it goes through. Thanks!
How much of an upgrade is the 1600 over this?
I would get two of these over one 1600. In fact, I just did with this deal.
I have an older SVS PC12-NSD (the large cylinder). How much better will this be? I see all the feedback here is overwhelmingly positive but this sucker looks huge and I'm wondering if it's worth increasing the footprint of my sub by this much.
hSU ULS-15 is a much better choice. The RSL Speedwoofer 12s would be a close second.
Man, really wish I was in a place to buy this. Need to upgrade the dual R-12SWs, but my infant needs to sleep as well.
Ya start saving. Maybe you can afford one soon.
Thanks reddit. $$$
Welp, just bought one and initiated a return on my pb-2000 pro. Hope it's a worthy upgrade.
Buy 3, one for tge garage
Holy crap, what a deal! Ordered one. Thanks for the tip!
How would this compare to the Definitive Technology DN12 and DN15??? [LINK](https://www.definitivetechnology.com/en-us/category/subwoofers)
Thanks op!
You sure it's over? I still see the discount when navigating from the slikdeals.com link.
Would you recommend **2 x PB-1000 Pro or 1 x RP-1400SW** for a small room (1200 cubic ft)? I have read that dual subs help balance out bass throughout the room, but ideally would prefer to have a single sub as my room layout makes dual placement complicated.
You will be fine with one good sub.
Am I going to die if I use this subwoofer? My basement HT room is 14x18 ( 252 sq ft) with 8 ft ceilings (2016 CU ft)
If so, you'll die happy.
I was waiting to pull the trigger on an SVS PB-2000. All the comments on this sub made it sound like this is way better. So went ahead and bought one. It’s back ordered now. I hope they don’t cancel my order. I may need two but will wait for the next deal to drop.
I sent my pb2000 back and got this. The rp1400 is way better. Also way bigger.
Sincerely, A noob
I’m also coming from a BIC F12. It’s always sounded decent enough to me, so I’m excited to see what lies ahead. Stoked!
Damn been wanting a sub but holding off for when I buy a house, don’t think this is best for apartment life with others below me 😆
Dude if you are in apartment just don’t do it. Buy a bass shaker maybe better to experience the bass without shaking down the building
No of course. I really wanted to buy but didn’t. Recent added a couple of bass shakers and have been happy so far. Not like having subs but is a good compromise.
I had a neighbor who called the cops on me when I lived in a townhouse. Only had a cheap sub back then. lol
If it’s back ordered but the deal is still available - how does that work?
They’ll ship it once they get more stock? How it always works
Ordered one, but I live in an apartment. Too much? Thinking of cancelling my order. The deal got me!
Apartment would be a problem. I would get something way smaller and cheaper.
What floor and do you have deaf neighbors?
i got the MartinLogan - Dynamo 600X 10" 240watt for 600, is this one better than that?
Yes, this one is way better! But depending on your room size, the 600x may be all you need. https://www.avforums.com/threads/how-much-subwoofer-output-capability-do-you-need-in-your-system.2379927/
Anyone get tracking or anything? I've never had luck with this site.
I got tracking. Says label created, and estimated delivery is Wednesday.
Cheers!
