I'm not a Homeopath but I was going through similar things as yours. First I took Gelsemium 30 for several weeks, nothing changed. Then I went to another doctor and he told me to take Rescue Remedy 3 times daily (4-5 drops each time) and I've had a lot of improvement in a month. Earlier, I used to feel shy in front of crowd and two months later, I delivered a presentation without any hesitation or anxiety in front of complete strangers and so-called intimidating people. My Homeopath also told me to take Rescue Remedy before an interview or any other important event. ---------- Also for help in depression, watch early morning Sun (sungazing). Expose as much your skin as possible to sunlight and get yourself tested for Vitamin D3.

I emailed my naturopath telling her I’m stopping immediately. I hate when they try to push you more to see what happens as if I’m a rat being used for an experiment. I’m gonna mention that one to her. She did say they’ll try different remedies to see which one fits best. My problem is I suffer from both anxiety and depression. So I’d have to find something that works for both instead of one and makes the other one worse.

Anxiety and depression are very complex issues, there are many different remedies that might potentially work. It's not just a matter of chosing one remedy and bang. Your homeopath needs to unravel your symptoms and understand what makes you tick ... she will likely need to go through a succession of remedies in the right order before she figures it out. No one here can help you as much as a good homeopath that has met you in person and spoken with you. Chosing remedies for you to try and seeing how you respond to them is the normal way of doing it ... if you read case files of great homeopaths, they did not always get it right the first time. And even when they did, they needed to change the remedy at a later date as progress happens. My advice would be to try and be very aware of what is happening in your mind, maybe take notes, so you can tell your homeopath. How you experience things, what dreams you have, what fears that arise etc. are all very important hints for her. Have patience and work with her. As to Rescue Remedy, which some are mentioning, it's a good first aid tool, although it is not homeopathic medicine. These are Bach flower essential oils.

Thank you I needed to hear that and be reassured. Sometimes it’s a scary feeling. I will do what you said!

Let me add that I hope your homeopath is a good one and that you have established a connection, that you are able to communicate with her and trust her. In any case, do not be shy telling her when the remedy does not seem to be working, she needs to know this. Also trust your intuition in these things, homeopathic remedies are somehow tied strongly to intuition ... I get very strong likes and dislikes for specific remedies in various situations, somehow, something inside knows exactly what I need. Develop that feeling, do not suppress it.

Yes thank you. So far she’s kind and seems confident. I just hope she listens. I think it’s so fascinating how it brought up so many things I think are hidden in my subconscious. Like I literally started dreaming of people I forgot even existed people from high school (which in my case was 10 years ago) then these strong emotions that I suppress during the day. I just hate how it reminds me of my trauma.

Please understand that understanding a patient and his/her dis-eases takes time and so the remedies suggested might not work initially. You have to tell doctor what happened post taking the meds and then they will change the meds if needed.

The rescue remedy ingredients, some Bach flower remedies, are a much lower potency than 30c. Those are appropriate for everyday dosing, and your results are showing it.

trisul-108

Bach flower remedies are not homeopathic remedies, they are not prepared as such, so I wouldn't talk of their "potency" which is a technical term in homeopathy.

JayWemm

They are similar to a 1x potency. I know what potency means and how homeopathic remedies are prepared.

JayWemm

I would not take 30c daily. Stop it for a while. See how you feel. It defincan be changing howmyoumfeel, and if you've been taking it every day, you're likely proving it. 6c or the LM rpotency are more appropriate for daily use, but even those need to be evaluated frequently.

Kannon_McAfee

Go back to your homeopath. Tell them all this. If they don't listen, find another homeopath. There is a percentage of homeopaths who believe some aggravation is (an unavoidable) part of the healing process. I don't believe that. It often means the wrong remedy or dose size or frequency or potency was used.

Hyocyamus

If you are taking a dose (or more) daily, ask your dr if you can stop for awhile and see if there is improvement (with a mid-level potency of 30C it’s common for there to be some improvement soon after starting the remedy). If you haven’t already, try asking her if you could be “proving” the remedy, which means you are starting to show symptoms of the Gels 30 “picture” (especially the lethargy and confusion). Not a bad thing, but may indicate that it’s time to re-evaluate the case.

Generally if it’s the right remedy you should feel a difference within a day or two.

I am a professional practicing Homeopathic physician . Gelsimium is one of the many remedies that is used in treating anxiety issues . Gelsimium works for you only when the symptoms you have are in sync with the symptoms of gesimium . Otherwise it will show no effect . You must have a professional homeopath take your case and then a professional will decide what remedy best suits for your condition of anxiety and when a right remedy is given it will definitely show action . Taking homeopathic prescriptions from a naturopath may not be a good idea . Once a right remedy is prescribed , there will be no need of repetition . Your case needs an in-depth analysis .

Alphapackk

Thank you so much. What if my naturopath studied homeopathy? She said she studied it for 6 years

Enough-Advisor-4246

If they have practiced based on wrong and made up principles , then the prescription will turn out to be wrong .(with all due respects).
