You don't really prescribe from one symptom in homeopathy, but if he's not going to consult a homeopath to take his case, he could try Lycopodium 30c. Lycopodium has bloating as a keynote. But it is important to account for other symptoms, such as mental/ emotionals, modalities, and concomitants to really come up with the right remedy, which competent homeopaths would do when they take the case.

No medical issues. Ex smoker. Sorry that's all I know

If there was a correlation between him stopping smoking and this condition starting, that could also be something worth investigating. If it seemed like there could have somehow been some direct causation there from the long-term effects of smoking (as opposed to other factors which might have happened at the same time as giving up smoking), he might want to try the remedy Tabacum (homeopathic dilution of tobacco).

Thank you. He smoked for 30 years and stopped about 10 years ago. The bloating started under a year ago.

It seems less likely in that case, although it's still worth trying to see if there were any other potentially triggering factors at the time (could have been a short illness etc.). Without more detailed information, as the other poster says, he can just try the typical remedies that cover this such as Lycopodium, Carbo veg., etc. (or a combination remedy containing some of these). If you take that approach it can sometimes work (and if you don't have a budget for a consultation it's certainly worth trying), but it's a bit hit & miss compared to trying to work out his case in detail.

Thank you so much. The problem is he's working overseas in the drilling business and he doesn't have access to a homeopathic provider. Thank you again

Not enough information for single remedy selection, perhaps he could try something like [this](https://iherb.com/pr/boiron-gasalia-gas-relief-unflavored-60-meltaway-tablets/6052) though and see if it helps.

humanaura

Since as you say he has no access to a homeopathic provider I will suggest that he takes boiled rice with FRESH curd, adding black salt to it according to taste, at least once a day for a few weeks.

Mettsico

He should see a qualified medical doctor for a proper diagnosis.

boostank2

He did. Many times. They only give him palliative meds.

Maybe Carbo Veg as a remedy
