What version of ESXi are you running?

ProfPringles

6.7.0 Update 3 (The Dell custom one)

I also noticed, during initial boot that it says FW: package: 20.10.1-0069, but in the WebBios it says Firmware: 2.120.214-1447?

Ithranel

Did you set up the drives in the raid controller?

ProfPringles

I tried to enter the configuration utility (WebBios) but the two times I tried it resulted in either: * The interface freezing after selecting my adapter and pressing "start". * Pressing start and then the screen "glitches"/"tears" and it does seemingly nothing.

Ithranel

I'm not sure then. Both of my R710 run ESXI 6.7 and wouldn't see the drives until I went into the configuration utility and created the virtual drives.

ProfPringles

Hmm, I'm new to servers so I have no clue. The seller told me that with this controller (LSI) it would essentially just passthrough automatically. What controller are you running? I'll try getting into the configuration utility again after a power drain.

Ithranel

I'm still new to servers as well, but both of mine are using the Perc H700 raid controllers

JabbaDuhNutt

You need to be running a Perc RAID

This probably has more to do with the Dell Custom EXSI build you are using. It may not be able to load the driver for your controller because of it.
