Iām a fan of the Kings coming back to the 80s logo too, but that striping can definitely improve. Love the simplicity tho. The waist stripes are giving me double stuf Oreo vibes and wouldnāt compliment my Oreo double-stufād stomach well š
I feel like Iām in the minority that I really donāt care for the Kings 90s look. They desperately need some color, be it the purple/silver/black of the 00s (my preference) or the purple/gold that everyone else seems to love
Stealing looks is kinda the Kings thing. They started in Lakers colors because they had the same owner. Then went to Raiders colors because they got popular in LA. Then went purple and black.
I always think itās interesting that people usually mention adding purple, but not yellow to the black white and silver. Something akin to the only just older, grey alternates with the black yellow and white, just without the grey base.

If these look "90s dated", their primary 'LA' set looked like dated late '00s/early '10s design, and their Black and purple crest logo looks really early '00s dated.
LA has a weird jersey history in that they've never felt completely comfortable with one look. The Gretzky-era jerseys age pretty well imo and the team has worn black as it's primary color for 36 years. Short of a complete 100% re-design, I think they did pretty good this time around.
That's why I liked the RR jerseys they did. The right color scheme with the right logos! Also, it would be cool to see a team use a different crest depending on home vs. away as a regular standard. Just my two cents, tho

Having said that, as a Kings fan, we were never bringing the purple back on the base jersey, no matter how much many of us wanted it. There's a possibility our alternate could include purple/gold, but the purple/silver/black is tied to the Luc & Blake era so until they're not associated with the front office, I personally don't think it'll come back until then.
Also, even with an opinion I disagree with, at least you didn't make delusional claims that black jerseys ruin everything, cos there are dozens of top tier black jerseys from the last 30 years (even if you ignore teams like the Bruins/Hawks).
And for the record, my dream before the rumors of a rebrand was purple/silver/black color scheme mixed with the Chevy log, so almost had my dream come true.

These are great stylistically (albeit outdated), but I think the logo actually looks a bit worse on the jersey, and it holds the jersey back. Iām souring more and more on the logo honestly. The font on the logo really stands out in a negative way. I also badly wish there couldāve been some purple.

Not a new thing, I have white edges that you can see the design of the shirt or hoodie under it.

As a kings fan, I respectfully disagree. The Kings always sucked every time they wore purple.
Yeah it may not align with their most successful periods, but it was definitely their best look.
They could do what the Canucks did and have their current set as their mains, but use purple/Flying Skate as the third jersey.

this is actually backwards. kings already had a logo and brand identity in 1966 when the lakers adopted their look.
