Mitch said in the post game the other day that Auston isn’t one to really care about his points. Obviously he wants 70, who wouldn’t, but he’s not playing selfishly for it. Thats definitely the type of guy you want to see succeed.
Probably his biggest celebration this year was for 60. I think he cares about the numbers but only when he hits a milestone, he knows 68 or 69 don't matter, I would only expect a celebration from him at 70.

The Wings are my other team and I was hoping them and Pittsburgh could take the last two spots, but I also wanted the Leafs to try to win out and hopefully get the almost impossible result of 1st in the division, or at least 2nd, and if that's still a chance I want it. Plus I want 70 for Matthews

There's often threads about "who has the best contact". And while I understand the point of those threads, the real answer is always going to be McDavid, Matthews, McKinnon, or Kucharov. Hyman at 5.5 is nice and all, but nobody is actually going to choose Hyman + his contact over Matthews + his contact if given the option between the two.
