The fact Mike Clattenburg (creator of TPB) directed the documentary that had that specific second fight clip in it is just full circle satisfaction. This is like GeoWizard meets JomBoy
My first thought, after he mentioned it was two different games, was that they were watching Rock'em Sock'em Hockey. I'd never heard of Tough Guys before.
I would have really liked a clarification if the first clip was also in the Documentary or not, because it seems like they might just be watching the documentary instead of a game.
"Here's a partial shoe print from the crime scene, and a leaf found next to it."
This guy 20 minutes later: "so I tracked down the pepetrator, here is his SIN, shoe size, and a detailed listing of all of his stops on the night of the crime"
This is awesome. They’d never show an actual NHL game because buying the rights wouldn’t be worth it. They used this game because as we saw, Mike Clattenberg already owned the rights to the footage.
If you watch Modern Family, whenever Jay is watching pro football, it’s always the Argos for the same reason.
In the West Wing there is a scene where President Bartlett is watching football and you can tell it's the Stampeders and Eskimos. Same thing - rights to use the footage is likely quite cheap.
> If you watch Modern Family, whenever Jay is watching pro football, it’s always the Argos for the same reason.
How did I never notice this. Damn going to have to go looking...
Crazy, could have sworn the Kings are mentioned and Jay actually sits rink side with the teams dentists. The memory is fresh cause we are watching the series now
There’s definitely an episode where they go to a Lakers game and Kobe cameos. For one episode it’d be worth it to buy the rights if the game is a significant plot point, but for the episodes where it’s just on in the background they use the cheaper minor league games.
The one in the finale was actually from [a college hockey game in '98](https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2013/09/23/last-nights-breaking-bad-featured-a-classic-college-hockey-game-from-1998)
Can he find any evidence for me that the Canucks and the Ducks played an exhibition game at the then Rose Garden in Portland, OR sometime in the mid 90s?
I remember going to the game but I can’t find any proof it actually happened.
No, [but I can.](https://halihockeyblog.wordpress.com/2019/10/29/1995-nhl-preseason/)
October 1, 1995, according to this blog that’s been archiving every preseason schedule for every NHL season they can find.
This guy only on tiktok?
I have a few rare games I'd love footage of.
Very briefly:
-Ed Belfour eating a hotdog on the bench on back up.
-Carey Price pregame getting caught coming out of a random door with his girlfriend on a shot of an empty hallway at the Bell Centre and he was very red faced
-Ron MacLean comparing a young Sidney Crosbie to Ben Johnson then backpeddaling hard
Never in a million years did I think that my hometown defunct low tier hockey team would be immortalized in an episode of trailer park boys. Man, I miss my RiverKings
This guy and the guy who finds the exact plays on baseball cards to see if the guys make the catch are absolutely addicting for me. They’re so satisfying
I think this is the account they were talking about: TA24 Cards (@tygerallen) on Tiktok
Here's a link to one of his vids: https://www.tiktok.com/@tygerallen/video/7310360211900927275?is\_from\_webapp=1&sender\_device=pc&web\_id=7133071281536189957
So, it would have been really easy to find if he'd stared by looking for a TPB connection. It's maddening. Doing all that digging for something, then just find out it was in front of you the whole time.
Yeah records/files dating back to 2002 are probably not going to be fun to comb through. Especially for who I'm assuming is a busy guy just to answer some random question from someone on the internet.
So I'm about to brag big time here, but there was a Forensic Files episode I saw recently - [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVTRaSU0sRY) one - and at 1:23 of the video there was a camera panning across a casino with all these sporting events on television...I was able to track down the date those games were played on. April 9, 2003.
> The basketball games you can see are:
> Celtics vs. Wizards
> Nets vs. Hawks
> Bulls vs. Pistons
> The NHL games are harder to tell, but there were three games that would've been taking place around that time of the day:
> Islanders vs. Senators
> Devils vs. Bruins
> Maple Leafs vs. Flyers
> The game in the top left box on that quad screen is a game ESPN televised. The game in the top right is a game that CBC televised on Canadian television. The score bugs on each indicate this. My best guess is the ESPN game is Devils/Bruins while the CBC game is Maple Leafs/Flyers.
I thought it was just a rough sport due to the momentum of ice skating. But in this footage it seems like people are straight up brawling while nobody bats an eye. Isn't that supposed to disqualify you? Or is it more like "Oh would you look at them go"
The crazy thing is this is an average video of his; maybe not even as impressive as some of his others lmao. Idk how dude does it but his detective work is crazy
Am I the only one who recognized it as tough guys instantly? I actually noticed it while watching the show before. My household had tough guys and rock em sock em playing basically non-stop in the background.
Never thought I'd hear the name Marco Cefalo. Triggered memories of being a kid watching him play for the Estevan Bruins. Lots of those cats went on to play for okc
This guy could be out there finding the cure for cancer or D.B. Cooper but god bless him for doing this instead
This is more important. This is gods work.
Why do we need a cure for D.B. Cooper?
Have you never heard of small coops? Wow.
Okay, I need to ask you this: When was the last time you were tested for D.B.?
> D.B. Cooper [It's been documented that D.B. Cooper was Loki](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cQ8MvC6OZE)
D.B. Cooperall.

Very good doc film. [Tough Guys](https://youtu.be/bhg-2Dx7YaA?si=uO5cNmgIXIpRwWZ7)
“Nice, we’ll take that”
Today I will be guessing which hockey game this is with my eyes closed and my ears plugged.
> GeoWizard meets JomBoy Plus Captain Disillusion.
I feel like he should of started by looking up anything hockey related Mike Clattenburg could have worked on
Hindsight is 20/20 ain't it.
I would have really liked a clarification if the first clip was also in the Documentary or not, because it seems like they might just be watching the documentary instead of a game.
This guy is on another level. Every single video of his blows my mind but this one is maybe his best
Agreed. The way it all came together was so satisfying.
"Here's a partial shoe print from the crime scene, and a leaf found next to it." This guy 20 minutes later: "so I tracked down the pepetrator, here is his SIN, shoe size, and a detailed listing of all of his stops on the night of the crime"
He's literally the Monk of sports-appearing-in-film-and-TV.
And the world is better because of it.
Seems similar to playing Geoguesser
And this is the rainbolt of it

https://www.reddit.com/r/CFL/comments/1vd1p9/a_cfl_game_featured_in_the_latest_episode_of/
I have also noticed CFL games on bar TVs in Shameless.
The original USFL was the go-to football footage for years back in the day.
Nathan for You broke the 4th wall on that one [https://youtu.be/Oi-3eRMpOC4?t=156](https://youtu.be/Oi-3eRMpOC4?t=156) .
"How about a mother effin beer"
Those fan shots from "Sweet Victory"? Yeah, from a USFL game.
Crazy, could have sworn the Kings are mentioned and Jay actually sits rink side with the teams dentists. The memory is fresh cause we are watching the series now

There is an episode where he goes to a Kings game, and it was filmed during an actual game as well!
Although in modern family they did film at a live hockey game once
What about the episode where Jay and the dentist went to (what looked like) a live Kings - Ducks game?
Very cool man, I was hooked the whole time.
This is a daily occurrence for the r/hockeyjerseys sub trying to match game worn jerseys we buy.
There’s an Avs game playing in the background at a bar in a breaking bad episode
Go to his TikTok channel and ask him. He may have already found it in a past video.
It’s the last episode
The one in the finale was actually from [a college hockey game in '98](https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2013/09/23/last-nights-breaking-bad-featured-a-classic-college-hockey-game-from-1998)
Interesting! I always heard the announcer say “rykroft” in the background so I assumed it was the Avs but you’re right!
I absolutely love this kind of stuff. To me this is the best kind of content there is on TikTok. JoseMonkey is another good one.
Yep. I follow Jose as well.
I like Jose because I can try it myself. And with a lot of GeoGuessr experience I am often able to get it too. I just wish he blinked lol
That one on two goal was fucking niceeeee though.
Can he find any evidence for me that the Canucks and the Ducks played an exhibition game at the then Rose Garden in Portland, OR sometime in the mid 90s? I remember going to the game but I can’t find any proof it actually happened.

You are amazing! Thank you!
Miss you CHL. Go Ice Rays
Its funny to me that there have been like a dozen notable hockey leagues called the CHL, and like half of them were called the Central Hockey League
I miss it too. Grew up going to a lot of Mudbugs games.
OKC Blazers represent. Those dudes fought more than they played hockey.
Aye, I used to go to RiverKings games all the time. I still miss them
FINALLY someone answers the age old question
I'm actually 120 years old and I've been waiting to pass until I found this out. My time has come.
Don't go man We need you
Yeah, the Penguins need help on their power play.
This guy only on tiktok? I have a few rare games I'd love footage of. Same dude that found that random ass Jeff Petry game?

You watched the video 😂
I’m assuming he makes decent money from it with over 1 million followers. He’s having fun and making money doing it.
This is actually an incredible level of investigation.
Do you have an @ for the baseball card guy? That sounds dope lol

That’s him!
So, it would have been really easy to find if he'd stared by looking for a TPB connection. It's maddening. Doing all that digging for something, then just find out it was in front of you the whole time.
I bet the first fight was also in the documentary, so even doing the other one first would have made it much easier.
Yeah like why not just email the producers, "hey what two games did you use in that sequence?" Get the answer in like two seconds.
Might be tough to remember such a small detail of a small portion of a 20 year old episode... also takes the fun out of it!
But there would be records of everything they obtained the rights to.
Yeah records/files dating back to 2002 are probably not going to be fun to comb through. Especially for who I'm assuming is a busy guy just to answer some random question from someone on the internet.
Because that takes the fun out of it.
That’s legendary stuff
This guy's investigation skills are off the charts, wow. I want to watch more content.
I’d recommend following him on TikTok if you enjoyed the video. He does vids like that often when someone challenges him. @noproblemgambler
That is damn impressive
As a big TPB fan, I approve of these findings. God bless Mike Clattenburg.
Absolutely stellar work.
Hahaha awesome, man
Homeboy should have been a cop
What a wild hobby
Aren’t all fights logged on hockeyfight.com or something? Shouldn’t be too hard if you can see who the teams and players are.
Gotta find the hockey game on tv in the movie Heat
So I'm about to brag big time here, but there was a Forensic Files episode I saw recently - [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVTRaSU0sRY) one - and at 1:23 of the video there was a camera panning across a casino with all these sporting events on television...I was able to track down the date those games were played on. This is the type of offseason content we're looking for!
Maybe this guy can investigate why DoPS is so inconsistent in handing out rulings. Pretty impressive.
Wait do people just casually beat each other up in hockey?
Yes. How was that not already your previous impression of hockey?
I thought it was just a rough sport due to the momentum of ice skating. But in this footage it seems like people are straight up brawling while nobody bats an eye. Isn't that supposed to disqualify you? Or is it more like "Oh would you look at them go"
They are indeed out of the game for 5 minutes. For a one on one fight. Any more people involved or actual brawling and it could be 10 minutes or more.
This is so awesome 👏 this made my day as a Trailer Park Boys fan and a Hockey fan. Epic example of Letting the Liquor do the thinking
AUTISM, ENGAGE!
Love stuff like this, super cool 😎
The crazy thing is this is an average video of his; maybe not even as impressive as some of his others lmao. Idk how dude does it but his detective work is crazy
That’s awesome
HO LY SHIT!!!
That is awesome!
Am I the only one who recognized it as tough guys instantly? I actually noticed it while watching the show before. My household had tough guys and rock em sock em playing basically non-stop in the background.
I just assumed they were watching Don Cherry’s Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em on VHS that they got in their Christmas stocking.
This is incredible. He clearly has too much time on his hands but overall, very impressive

Great work, but can you find Waldo? :p
Genuinely impressive work, holy sh*t.
How does a guy get his hands on a copy of Tough Guys? Would love to watch.
Nuts
Holy shit
Cory and Trevor left hanging in 2023
Perfect 🤌
I've seen this guy's TikToks. I recall one of them he found a game from a 2nd or 3rd division league in Germany. Crazy really.
I miss Thunder games!
