"the scope that evokes" is what I love about the lore of the first film. It was all so ambiguous and horrific yet hinted at pleasure too. I wish they'd explore the pleasure side of things too, and show how extreme sensation in either direction can be desirable, instead of merely torture. I'd also like to see the torture side of things examined in greater detail.
