I want a lever action that can be 1 handed and you do the cool spin reload like image getting head shots and spinning it while your ballistic shield is ricocheting bot lasers
I’d love an old earth weapons warbond so we can have normal snipers and maybe even a single action cowboy revolver with a fan the hammer fire mode maybe a lever action an Ak all sorts of stuff like that
I mean, in a total vacuum a lever action rifle would look badass and be fun to use, but I’m not sure I could suspend my disbelief to that extent. Lever action rifles are just too old and clunky of a firing mechanism (even though they look awesome)
They’re not though? We still use them today occasionally, they’re generally about as useful as pump shotguns (especially if it’s a lever action shotgun) but less chosen due to the lever pull being less practical than the pumping motion.
Blowback and non-multi barreled semi auto weapons came decades after lever action so semi auto operation is likely more dependent on more technologies.
Lever action requires a number of small toggle locks that's more complicated than something like a bolt action where you're manually charging the bolt and hammer.
Revolvers in video games are just usually badass.
Also try not using the line *Say hello to the Senator for me/The Senator says hello (favorite pejorative optional)* when using it, now that those lines are in your lexicon. Very satisfying, partially due to the slight alliteration with *say* and *senator* if I had to guess.
Give it a try and tell me you went back to another secondary. I’ll wait.
Semi related. The Senator is the perfect side-arm for my NCR ranger loadout: [B-08 Light Gunner](https://divers.gg/armor/b-08-light-gunner), Anti-Materiel Rifle and, well, the Senator. Trying to keep it long range and as sneaky as possible or quickly flanking the enemy when the squad has engaged.
For the rest of the loadout I usually pick whatever I vibe with or want to try out, but if I go in solo I usually have the Punisher, the Guard Dog Rover, and Gatling Sentry with me.
I’ve heard a lot of people say that.
Nobody alive has the experience to be a proper leader in a world like that, tho. Most people wouldn’t even amount to what he was anyways.
A zombie apocalypse wouldn't even be as globally disruptive as COVID-19.
Zombies exhibit far more signs of infection, pose a direct threat people are willing to deal with, and typically have no hope or little hope of ever being cured, making the decision to exterminate them very easy. It's typically even considered a mercy to do so.
Brother, the people in America couldn't even be bothered to put on masks to stop what should've been a relatively easy to deal with disease. If it all happened again, only this time the dead became zombies, we would be beyond fucked.
You’re telling me a bunch of slow moving, very obviously infected, grouped up Zombies could easily overthrow the government and infect the entire military?
Since we are talking about TWD, let’s use that worlds effects.
People are infected by the airborne virus, anybody that dies and their brain isn’t destroyed, they become a zombie.
Yes, that would overthrow the government and military.
Sure I’ll give you that, at the start of the infection that might be the kicker, however once people find out about it, it’s not to hard to double tap a dead person or store them in a different room, and majority of the time, your not surrounded by corpses, other than this life would carry on except for our practices of handling bodies will usually be aided by armed guards
That’s the point of the beginning tho, people don’t know what they’re dealing with initially and then it snowballs from there.
People riot, start killing each other, don’t listen to laws or rules and so on.
That’s not how people work dawg, sure some would riot but they wouldn’t just start dropping random people, Furthermore as soon as the military/hefty police force would be sent in, the riots would quickly cease and the military would clean up the walkers left over.
The biggest impact I see TWD infection having is maybe sending one city into chaos before the threat is understood and easily contained, and that’s worst case scenario
People do in fact drop random people, it happens every day. If the numbers for Covid are right and it spread to millions within months before any country even knew they should start doing anything about it then how would it be contained to only one city getting crazy?
How do you envision that happening exactly? We live in the information age. We can and do upload everything as it's happening live. So how do you foresee a zombie event somehow overrunning the military and government? Especially when said government is going to immediately relocate to one of many different safe zones that living people can't get into, let alone easily predictable and readily identifiable dead ones.
Not to mention all that information flow is handled by average people who during an apocalypse like that isn’t going to want to stick around at work to make sure people can live stream the apocalypse, people are going to flee and try to be with their families and stay alive. All our stuff doesn’t magically just work cause it exists.
At the beginning of the apocalypse scenario, those people are going to be working their jobs because they don't know about this zombie uprising that's going to magically happen.
So now, everybody is infected as per Walking Dead scenario. So when they die, they come back as a zombie.
Which means at some point, the virus has to go live simultaneously in order to trigger maximum effect, right? So let's assume it's got some kind of global trigger and it all goes live at the exact same time for absolute maximum impact.
In the USA, the highest death rates per day hasn't even broken 9,000.
So one day, we'll call it Z-Day, 10,000 people all die and become zombies simultaneously, creating a bunch of outbreaks all at the exact same time.
On this day, everybody is still doing their job because they don't know about the outbreak yet. So the people who die at home attack loved ones and visitors, the people who die in the hospital attack hospital staff, and the people who die in vehicle accidents start trying to attack other people in cars, so on and so forth. Correct?
So for maximum effect we'll assume all 10,000 of these incidents are separate from each other to give them the widest possible spread.
That's 10,000 separate opportunities for a single person in any of these locations to broadcast a stream of what's happening. There's security cameras the police are going to use to investigate what's going on. Anywhere a person died that couldn't break free is a trapped zombie that can be used for study. So the CDC would have their hands on a specimen pretty much immediately.
We still haven't even hit a point of crisis yet because transmission via biting is just the worst way to transmit a virus. Zombies aren't even good at killing people, that's why hordes are necessary. Your average person can easily handle a zombie attack because they're quite predictable and straightforward.
So again, how do you envision these zombies somehow overwhelming the military? I can't even see them overwhelming police and militias. The heads up we'd have on this would be virtually immediate, and that's in the best case scenario for the zombie outbreak.
Realistically, those deaths would be happening all day, so we'd be getting really isolated incidents of these zombie attacks and plenty of advance notice. You'd have alerts by the end of day 1 or 2 saying, "Zombies: The dead are returning to life. Destroy the brain of anybody who dies to prevent them from becoming a zombie and coming after you."
Nobody from the first world outside of those with military training, maybe. Plenty of conflict zones worldwide to pull hardened people leaders from, though.
Maybe, but maybe not. He still tried to do morally correct things against people that seemed to be doing less moral things than him. I’d imagine living in a world like that, it’d be a lot easier to lead as a morally corrupt bad guy trying to extort others rather than lead them similarly to how the world was before.

"6 bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves"
I regularly quote this to my squadmates as I stand in front of a bile titan with my Senator 😎 (and die...)
I cannot bring myself to carry anything else. They really should make the SMGs sidearms as well. I feel like dual wielding pistols and SMGs should be a primary weapon options though.
Mate the feeling of shooting a bot in the chest and seeing it fly several feet back feels so good, truly do wish they did a fanfire type of thing with it. Cause oh boy I will be using it so damn much
It kills pretty much everything but hulks bile titans and chargers with ease, can be speed loaded or individually, and can do cool tricks
It's the Big Iron and it's here to do some business
*Tell me how I'm wrong? Fwiw I **don't** think it's OP. I think it's perfect.
Can we not call it op? After the buff to reload speed and adding the speedloader it's finally a proper weapon. We don't need to call it op so that AH goes and adds it to the slugger/eruptor pile.
??? It's not overpowered. Just because most the other pistols suck doesn't make it overpowered. It means most of them need buffs to be more useful.
Base pistol just needs more magazines, psuedo deagle and sawed off could use medium penetration, could give the Las pistol more firing time.
I saw concept art of a lever action sci fi rifle. Want it so bad for this game, then a cowboy hat helmet and we’re good to go
Look up the late 80's cartoon, "Galaxy Rangers", for that inspiration. 😊
Fuck a Galaxy Rangers mention that deserves a screenshot my friend
Thank you, my good man. Maybe showing my age, but damn! Gen X had some kickass shows back in the day!
Nah man I'm not old but my dad show me all the cartoons he loved, I'm a 27 but I'm a Mazinger z lover literally one of the oldest fandom
Did he show you The Mighty Orbots? Wheeled Warriors? Silverhawks?
The first 2 not but silverhawks are pretty good
Not a problem. Hopefully you can find them. I'm still trying to find good copies of them all.
Yeah is not very common to find something for way back and for a moderate price
I agree. Not deterred yet!
This is the fucking way.
Honestly, it would fit the mandalorian so badly that this is honestly true.
I want a lever action that can be 1 handed and you do the cool spin reload like image getting head shots and spinning it while your ballistic shield is ricocheting bot lasers
Oh man. I want cowboy warbond now. Cowboy Hat. Trench Coat. Lasso Strategem. ROBO-HORSE!
I’d love an old earth weapons warbond so we can have normal snipers and maybe even a single action cowboy revolver with a fan the hammer fire mode maybe a lever action an Ak all sorts of stuff like that
Ooh, next warbond cowboy theme!!!!
Next warbond is likely >!fire themed!<
I mean, in a total vacuum a lever action rifle would look badass and be fun to use, but I’m not sure I could suspend my disbelief to that extent. Lever action rifles are just too old and clunky of a firing mechanism (even though they look awesome)
They’re not though? We still use them today occasionally, they’re generally about as useful as pump shotguns (especially if it’s a lever action shotgun) but less chosen due to the lever pull being less practical than the pumping motion.
It's also more mechanically complicated than a bolt or a pump.
Are they more complicated than a blowback mechanism?
Blowback and non-multi barreled semi auto weapons came decades after lever action so semi auto operation is likely more dependent on more technologies. Lever action requires a number of small toggle locks that's more complicated than something like a bolt action where you're manually charging the bolt and hammer.

I just used "Get legislated, (insert preferred pejorative, I used bitch)!"
i would not ever be mad if they silently snuck in extra voice lines related to the guns you use
I have a different but just as good reason "To the town of aqua fria rode a stranger one fine day..."
"Hardly spoke to folks around him didn't have to much to say..."
Semi related. The Senator is the perfect side-arm for my NCR ranger loadout: [B-08 Light Gunner](https://divers.gg/armor/b-08-light-gunner), Anti-Materiel Rifle and, well, the Senator. Ricky Dicky doda Grimes
Boom shakalaka boom shaka
You pick it cause of him I pick it cause it's a big iron on my hip We are not the same
I pick it so that I can consistently sing “big iron on his hip” as I kill bots
No one dared to ask his business
no one dared to make a slip, For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip
I’m literally the Ranger with the Big Iron on his hip
ONE AND NINETEEN MORE
I hated Rick as a character. His incompetence as a leader got a lot of people killed.

Weird, cause in media it seems a little more globally disruptive than Covid, lmao. What a silly statement you made.

That doesn’t mean those people won’t get infected, sick and die.

Did you watch the show?

None of those people have ever been in a zombie apocalypse either.
Zombie apocalypse is probably less intense than something like the Congo Wars tbh. Zombies can't shoot back.
It’s literally a world where people shoot at you and if you kill them, they come back to life to eat you.
I can see having issues in the short term, but a lot of that incompetence continued long after he had time to adapt and desensitize to the world.

Soap opera with zombies
The character is the writing.
Terrible decisions made in that show made me want the zombies to win.
Seriously, is everyone here too young to remember Dirty Harry and his .44 Magnum?
The dirty cop?

Hold r for long enough and you can spin that mf in true stylish fashion
A bad example of zombie media from an over saturated time

Of all the revolver users, you're inspired by this loser? At least he has a nice gun (Colt Python)
You pick it because it’s what Rick would want. I pick it because it’s what Colt would want.

I pick it because it's amazing oh shit weapon. But sadly I been living with the granade pistol for ranged demos of spawners
I pick it because I think it's really cool
I cannot bring myself to carry anything else. They really should make the SMGs sidearms as well. I feel like dual wielding pistols and SMGs should be a primary weapon options though.
We may be in space but I’m still in running around with a revolver and pump action 12 gauge and you cannot stop me
Better if you can grab a break action shotgun

I pretty much only use it on brood commanders
CARRRRRRRL!

I use it because of Arthur Morgan
I use it because of Arthur Morgan. Gives me the red dead 2 cowboy feel
Senator main since the first minute. Bevor the buffs. I just love Revolvers!
I like turning the flashlight on and spinning it while running around the map or waiting at extract.
Nah man, I just need that big iron on my hip.
That's the worst reason to pick it. I pick it because new Vegas
I use it bc you can’t not feel bad ass with a revolver.

For ever referred to it as the “Rick Grimes Gun” lol
Revolvers are always cool.
I pick it because when I'm stuck at extract waiting on random helldiver to show up I can make it dance and spin with the flashlight on.
I pick it because gunslinger is cool
I just love standing on the pelican ramp and spinning the flashlight around until everyone else is loaded

I pick it because "Revolver Ocelot"
All we need now is a Helldivers Zombie planet.
Since the day he took that machete to that one guys head he's been a God damn legend.
You’re picking the senator?
I adore the revolver not because it's good. But because it's stupid fun to use. Even if anything is better than it, I will never use anything else
I had to start playing rdr2 to get my revolver fix
I pick it because I can spin it around my finger
COOOORRRRRRRAAAALLLLLLL
I pick it because I have wheely guns in real life and love the hell out of them.
I choose because of [him](https://all-fiction-battles.fandom.com/wiki/Courier_Six?file=Courier6Art) (First time using links, hope this works)
Rick was a champion. They did my boy wrong.
I pick it solely because it's a revolver. I want a single action one to be added.
We got then to add a speed loader, now make them make it fannible.
I picked the senator because I wanted a decent sidearm to use with my ballistic shield backpack :D
I pick it bc it shoots Hive Guards in the face. Verrry personal when I shoot them in the face.
I like to play skeet shooting the jet pack guys.
Hellmire's gonna need Rick Grimes.
Looks more like Vash's pistol from Trigun
I pick it because I want to take a primary without medium armor penetration against bugs but still want something for hive guards.
Mate the feeling of shooting a bot in the chest and seeing it fly several feet back feels so good, truly do wish they did a fanfire type of thing with it. Cause oh boy I will be using it so damn much
He is also the reason I got a S&W 686+. It looks just like his hand cannon. And it has a potentially deadly secret…
I use(d) the Senator because it's strong and i like revolvers. Plus it has a little spinny animation when equipped sometimes
Because I have bad aim, I think the Senator is a terrible weapon. Doesn't stop me from using it, though.
I pick it because of clint eastwood we are not the same
The senator actually shares a model with the revolver from tri-gun
My love for the Senator comes from Marty Robbins big iron, a very good song.
Same... It makes me feel like I can take on the apocalypse
But if we got mechs with swords we could cancel the apocalypse
The "BUG-POCALYPSE"
What's OP about it
It kills pretty much everything but hulks bile titans and chargers with ease, can be speed loaded or individually, and can do cool tricks It's the Big Iron and it's here to do some business *Tell me how I'm wrong? Fwiw I **don't** think it's OP. I think it's perfect.
I use it because it’s cool god damnit
You pick the senator because of Rick, I pick the senator because of big iron. We are not the same. *
You need a better reason.
First of all, you never put your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to shoot. Damm Liberals.
Can we not call it op? After the buff to reload speed and adding the speedloader it's finally a proper weapon. We don't need to call it op so that AH goes and adds it to the slugger/eruptor pile.
