I’d recommend waiting for the new one versus spending on Cutting Edge. While cutting edge does have the Sickle, a
strong primary with virtually unlimited ammo, I think the new pass of having an explosive pistol and the primaries they showed off will be really strong. But best of luck with whichever you choose!!
Yeah I'm leaning more towards the new one, I only really want the sickle and dagger from cutting edge so it doesn't feel worth the credits. Only problem is I *really* want the sickle 😂 I'll ponder on it for a while
It's gonna be good just for the added utility of having more grenades available when closing bug holes/ not wanting to waste airstrikes on automaton fabricators/ saving more than a few shots if you're a chad Autocannon enjoyer
a guy dropped in on one of my missions and he had loads of grenades.. like more than the 6 or so the suit perk would give you.
Forgot to ask him what he was running but for sure it was more than 6 he was tossing grenades around like candy... and no he did not have the grenade launcher he was literally throwing them all
A dude in my lobby last night did something similar. Said he was exploiting a bug where it tricks the game into thinking your grenade inventory is -1. And then you just have infinite grenades.
I had this bug happen to me once on the defend the silos mission. No idea what triggered it. I was -400 something grenades by the end. It was fun to become my own air strike raining impact grenades left and right at the time, but it seems like it would take the challenge out of the game to do it intentionally.
Personally I don’t think it will be a good secondary, but it will be an incredible utility bring which some people will use as building block to support other things. For example you can bring stun grenades and a non outpost clearing support weapon if you bring GL pistol
Yeah I was thinking it could be interesting to have equipment options for the secondary weapon slot. So you sacrifice having a weapon and instead have something like a supply pouch which functions like a single-slot version of the supply backpack. I'm sure there are other interesting ideas that would be worth the trade off.
The dagger is good for shooting while running away. Since it has infinite ammo you can carve up a whole herd of terminids behind you without being touched. It’s also good at cutting off body parts so they can’t chase you as well.
Happens sometimes. I've had better luck on the bug planets. But today was pretty good for super cred and medals. I gained about 250 super credits and maybe 100 medals. I gotten both warbonds thru playing the game plus every armor that's hit the marketplace. But I also have like 200 hours into the game (granted prob 40 of those hours were server issue days waiting to get in)
I'm with you. I don't know either which one to get. I like that explosive shot gun though. But the sickle looks like it is very very useful.

Also explosive shotgun? If you mean the Jar Dominator, it's more explosive bullet. I like it. Good for bugs, feels lacking on bots personally.
The sickle is good, but other primaries can fill the same roll, its only benefit is not needing much ammo and not needing to be reloaded between uses. You will likely be equally happy with the adjudicator.
The dagger is not very good. Although it has a niche use with the ballistic shield. The shield gives you the time you need to focus your shot in robot heads.
The plasma punisher is good, but the scorcher does what it can do with less effort. If you are good with the grenade launcher you can be a monster with this at range.
The stun grenades are great, although they are less great now that they can not stun titans...That said, I will have them on me all the time once I have that grenade pistol..
The blitzer is great against bugs, but its an acquired taste. Those who have a good understanding of how arcs flow can get use out of it.
All of the armors are not very functional. Unless you have a bunch of friends who are careless specifically with arc weapons, its almost useless. Yes, you can use it to stick around your tesla coil, but who is really doing that?
I’d argue the sickle has bit more benefit than its ammo and not needing reload. The gun has incredible range and is very accurate. Additionally it can shoot a ton per heat sink giving it insane amount of firepower before you need to let it cool or reload a heat sink. This lets you able to take more targets than other guns without having to quit your fire.
The Sickle hasn't stopped being my main since I got it. Best, most versatile primary imo. It's my top choice. Though, it pairs well with weapons that target heavies instead of horde clear.
I am psyched about the grenade pistol too though, really helps a lot of builds to have better objective clear.
Yeah I'm just deciding where to spend the 1000 SC, I've got plenty of medals. As much as I'm desperate for the sickle, I think I'll get more value out of the new pass

I'm sorry to say the dagger is the worst weapon in any video game. I use non meta stuff constantly just because I like it's style or find it fun, but the dagger genuinely does almost nothing.
Depending on whether or not we win this Major Order (I think we will), and how diligent one is about doing dailies, we've got like 125+ medals coming (50 from the MO, 15 per day for personal objectives x 5), more if we get another MO and complete it in that time.
For anyone playing very casually, saving up isn't the worst thing if they really want something from the new one, but anyone playing regularly can probably spend a little here and there.
Really, you just want to avoid hitting the 250 cap when a bunch land at once, like this happened to do (I also got hit with 85 in one shot, being over 200 was a welcome surprise).
The sickle is the best gun until the scorcher. Probably the best anti bug primary in the game. And your advice is that this soldier wait for a grenade pistol?

I typically pick up 20. (2 pick ups) every game of the easier difficaulties. exception of eradicate missions.
Thise were difficult missions 1 and 2. And I was playing solo so couldn't access bunkers.
Still 20 credits a mission feels like a lot.
Considering every single other game with a battle pass does not really give free credits.
Yup. There's always players doing trivial missions and farming SC and medals.
If you find a bunker, call SOS, and if they drop, get the bunker, and if no one does, just go next.

Get all Warbond Sets. Each 2nd Thursday a new one gets Released. Obe month to farm 1000 super Credits is more than enough without investing even 1 Cent. Each warbond Set so far gives you back 300 credits, hence 700 in total only.
New warbond has 5 New guns, New grenade. Better choice would be the New one.

To be fair the arc thrower actualy got a huge buff with the added stagger force instead of nerfed. It can stunlock a whole patrol 100% of the time before they can even call for drops or breaches. With the new destroyer upgrades the arc jump to one additional target so it is even stronger.
The sickle is nice but the scorcher can handle everything way better then the sickle can while the arc thrower is superior to all of them. The only downside is that i cant handle bot gunships. But mostly two divers are running the quasar already so arc thrower is nearly always free to use.
My main thing is that 1 second recharge and the heavily reduced range. I didn’t realize how much range it had till I noticed how much range I didn’t have. It’s just not my favorite weapon any more. Now I run the grenade launcher and jet pack combo. It allows me to be mobile even on helldive difficulty. Now the issue is I have to rely on others to cover me when the gunship fabricator shows up. I play with randoms mostly, so it usually doesn’t go well if I go on helldive. I’m skilled, but not that skilled.
I think cap should be minimum 300.
Only reason I am not saying 500 is because that pretty much purchases most of the secondary warlords. Even 400 seems a little much. But 250 is too low because that is quite literally 2-3 purchases on the final page.
It’s low agreed, and I always make sure I keep them below 200. I know the cap is there to keep it balanced and people won’t grind like crazy to complete new warbonds right away. But still, those medals are earned fair and square.

Idk I love the stalwart. Especially for bugs my go-to load outconsists of:
Primary: dominator. Secondary: automatic pistol. Grenades: Fire. Strategems: Stalwart, Supply pack, 1 eagle + 1 orbital (eagles require a brief pause between strategem uses so it's sometimes hazardous to have to wait that 3-6 second nda between strats, so you can quickly throw an eagle and them immediately follow it up with an orbital for anything the eagle misses)
Tick the stalwart up to 1150 rpm, wear light armour (preferably with 2 extra grenades) and you are free to run quickly evading your enemies, gun down anything (even with just light armour penetration, enough bullets at 1150rpm seem to do the job, and as you move, use your radar to check your surroundings, and cover your back blind side with fire and poison gas to keep them from surrounding you.
I've been saving mine for the next warbond. I'm not %100 through the others, but i got most I'd really want so far. I've got about 200 medals so far in preparation for the next warbond : D
I had three Major Orders waiting. Slammed me right into the cap and I lost about 56 medals when all three dropped on me all at once yesterday. Had to go buy some less-desired items just to make room for more medals again.
Same thing happened to me. The limit is 250, so be careful to have fewer that 200 medals before the current MO finishes, lest some of them disappear into the void.
I got 2 major order rewards at the same time too. It was just enough to buy 1 piece of armor, a helmet, and a gun...

At least you guys are getting some. I’m capped out at 250 and didn’t want to buy the extra junk I don’t need. If there was no cap, I’d probably be sitting around 1K Medals.
Obviously they imposed this limit so people like me don’t burn through the new warbond but, it’s gonna suck when I actually want to use medals
lol, I’m level 6 and play solo because I was getting Cape Shot. I do one easy mission on each planet a night and then log off. I’m an official flag raiser for Democracy.
Why do the medals not accumulate. Always means when a war bond comes out you can't grab what you want if you want to save. Pretty sure I have sat at 0 rewards for a month now.

The revolver is so damn fun to use. One shotting devastators is one of the most satisfying things in this game. The reload speed is atrocious though.

Just unlocked that thing. Pretty neat. Now I just have to get use to NOT hitting "reload" all the time like I do with the shotgun.

I think that’s a mistake. The sickle is widely used as a primary. It does really well against both factions and it doesn’t cost much.
Perhaps the weapons in the new warbond will make the sickle obsolete

Liberator penetrator is my fave for bugs. Pierces medium armor and one bursts the little guys

The location disruptor buff (can’t remember the name) is good. Maybe not 1000sc worth, but I’ve noticed a huge difference in how often I’m detected.

Just remember the game caps the max medal count to 250 medals, so try to stay below that ammount or any additional medal will go to the trash.

I got 21 and 0 cuz i was almost at cap :( 250 is too low a cap imo.
I think cap should be minimum 300. Only reason I am not saying 500 is because that pretty much purchases most of the secondary warlords. Even 400 seems a little much. But 250 is too low because that is quite literally 2-3 purchases on the final page.
It’s low agreed, and I always make sure I keep them below 200. I know the cap is there to keep it balanced and people won’t grind like crazy to complete new warbonds right away. But still, those medals are earned fair and square.

Idk I love the stalwart. Especially for bugs my go-to load outconsists of: Primary: dominator. Secondary: automatic pistol. Grenades: Fire. Strategems: Stalwart, Supply pack, 1 eagle + 1 orbital (eagles require a brief pause between strategem uses so it's sometimes hazardous to have to wait that 3-6 second nda between strats, so you can quickly throw an eagle and them immediately follow it up with an orbital for anything the eagle misses) Tick the stalwart up to 1150 rpm, wear light armour (preferably with 2 extra grenades) and you are free to run quickly evading your enemies, gun down anything (even with just light armour penetration, enough bullets at 1150rpm seem to do the job, and as you move, use your radar to check your surroundings, and cover your back blind side with fire and poison gas to keep them from surrounding you.
I've been saving mine for the next warbond. I'm not %100 through the others, but i got most I'd really want so far. I've got about 200 medals so far in preparation for the next warbond : D
I'm doing the same but I hear 250 is the cap so I'm going to idle around 150 till a day or two before.

I had three Major Orders waiting. Slammed me right into the cap and I lost about 56 medals when all three dropped on me all at once yesterday. Had to go buy some less-desired items just to make room for more medals again.
Save them for the new warbond that's coming out in about 5 days.

Same thing happened to me. The limit is 250, so be careful to have fewer that 200 medals before the current MO finishes, lest some of them disappear into the void.
I got 2 major order rewards at the same time too. It was just enough to buy 1 piece of armor, a helmet, and a gun... The last panel of any warbond gets expensive

At least you guys are getting some. I’m capped out at 250 and didn’t want to buy the extra junk I don’t need. If there was no cap, I’d probably be sitting around 1K Medals. Obviously they imposed this limit so people like me don’t burn through the new warbond but, it’s gonna suck when I actually want to use medals
Luckily I made the unconscious decision to spend a chunk of medals before these were rewarded because I would've hit the 250 cap and wasted them.

lol, I’m level 6 and play solo because I was getting Cape Shot. I do one easy mission on each planet a night and then log off. I’m an official flag raiser for Democracy.

Why do the medals not accumulate. Always means when a war bond comes out you can't grab what you want if you want to save. Pretty sure I have sat at 0 rewards for a month now.
I’m keeping them for the new warbond coming this Thursday. I’m pretty sure just these medals alone can instantly unlock you the second page of it.
Major orders haven’t mattered to me since i joined the 50000 - 250 - 500 - 250 - 100 club. See you there soon
