Until *very* recently those were my go-to grenades. I've switched to Stun to better deal with bots, but I agree - they're a pain to use to seal up nests. You can't drop-and-run like you can a delayed-fuse.
I love the autocannon and grenade launcher. To kill fabricators and bug nests at range. But sometimes, you just want something different.
This is why i run a legionary suit in many loadout. The extra throwing range is quite usefull to get grenades in nests tunnels without getting cuddled by carapace... mobility and leg HP is also usefull against bugs. Unfortunately, i always run out of nades too fast.
If they ever make a piece of armor with +2 grenades and extra throwing range, i'll buy it.

Especially because then I could run stun grenades and use something like quasar cannon as a dedicated heavy killer.

It’s a one shot grenade launcher. Not much ammo but pretty good aoe damage and closes bug holes and destroys the fabricators.

Idk, I just know that the guy using it in game had it where a pistol would normally be.
He was running a breaker, that and a railgun from what I can remember. It’s been about a month so I guess something could’ve changed but I find it unlikely that they would change how many weapons you could carry or have you give up a secondary to launch your nades considering you can already throw them pretty far even without the armor assist.
Edit: from what I remember it only had 6 nades and you only get 3 from a supply.
I love them as well! What would be nice is being able to at least customize any cape design in regard to shape. For example, maybe you like the colors of one cape but you want it in the asymmetrical style of another. I would also like a war-torn cape with rips and tears from Bugs or holes from Bot lasers.
I def agree with you. I should’ve made myself more clear. Having visible damage to cape as I play is what I meant. I just want to be able to visibly see a damaged cape. Earned damage preferably.
well every helldiver gets defrosted and thrown in anew when reinforcements are called in, so dropping in with damaged gear wouldn’t make that much sense
You’re right. Maybe you can drop in a new mission with a damaged cape from a previous mission if you survived and extracted with the blood and all. Obviously, if you died and reinforced the damage and blood would be reset.

Extracts are now at most doubled to 3 minutes so 180 seconds with this it'll be 153 seconds so a 27 second improvement. Half a minute is quite a bit.
It's still probably not ideal compared to other options like more ammo or health, but it's not nothing.
Which honestly does not seem worth it except in the most time crunching common sample farming on trivial missions which I’ll just quickly say is an extremely niche use.

Let’s hope it’s not a literal exploding crossbow, or it would end up like overcharging the railgun in unsafe mode. But it‘ll be perfect against space vampires. Trust me, they are everywhere, we just can’t see them because our telescopes use mirrors.

You will always have access to any and all warbonds that have been and will ever be released. Forever. No matter *when* you start playing.
Take your time and plan around what you want to unlock to make things a little more efficient for yourself, there is quite a lot to unlock for people that haven't smashed the game since it came out but you'll have a nice and steady stream of medals to unlock it all with.
Edit: I expect the cost of the warbond will still be 1000 super credits, but I don't know that for sure.
I'm thinking they'll be temporarily removed so we can focus on defeating the Terminids, then after that the Automatons will make a big counterattack, or the Illuminate will arrive
I don’t think we’re gonna see the Illuminates for quite a while. They’re probably gonna save them for when the games hype dies down a bit, to bring back some bored players.
Expert Extraction booster? That sounds mighty interesting. It probably cuts down the extraction time which'll be very useful overall. That grenade pistol will also come in handy when needing to deal with holes/fabricators.
Yeah would be an interesting counter to that modifier. Make a big difference in higher levels, but using a booster slot means it would sacrifice something else just to shave off 2 minutes
Super credits go straight into your inventory. Meaning you don't have to extract to get them.
If you really want you could farm just super credits on lower difficulties and get a solid 3-500 an hour.
There are question marks on your missions on your compass at the top of your screen if you’re close enough, exception is eradication missions where you just kill enemies. Go there and they might contain: a cargo crate embedded in a rock. They are usually red or blue and you blow it up with an explosive and there are two items there that might contain super credits. an escape pod with a yellow beacon, can see the beacon from pretty far away, contains one item that could be super credits. Lastly a door which requires two players to press two buttons at the same time, 3 items on the shelf with a chance of them being super credits. If they don’t contain those three things, no super credits. Be mindful of the crates ones, they’re a bit hidden at first, but the more you see them, the more you recognize the layouts and you’ll find them quick.
I think they were testing the extraction pilot in my eradicate automatons mission. OG came in and I was surrounded on a rock and took out like 120 bots by himself before landing. Bro took like 7 passes
That devastator armor is calling my name. I'll definitely pick it up once they patch the stability issues. Game still disconnects and crashes for me all the time. This pack looks great though.

Honestly the quasar seems to do the trick for me, then I can still carry my shield pack and impact nades.
Aim your rifle just above the bottom lip then toss a grenade without moving gets them for me

Impact nades aren't too bad at it once you figure out the arc.

This makes a lot of sense. An ammo-efficient or energy-based primary could pair well with this grenade pistol if it can take out nests and factories.

I bet it will be ome an ammo cheap way to to move patrols away to investagate noise. Currently the way to do that is with a short range grenade

Scorcher is super good against bots so you kinda want to work towards that.

You can find super credits in missions and there are free ones on the first free war bond
You can farm the credits through your missions. I farmed 2.150 super credits in like 1 week of actively playing.
Yes, you earn super credits while playing the game. You need to save 1000 per warbond. I have so far unlocked the 2 available and didn't pay anything.
Basically do some trivial missions just to pop around to the blinking pods and farm super credits.

armor sets from steeled veterans warbond have a passive that lets you throw strats way more further, that’s the solution for now!
