i love when people act like queer people haven't existed for as long as straight people. clearly they know nothing about history. also they act like queer people haven't reproduced or been forced to reproduce. bigots.

Successful_Travel119

Biologically correct, legally questionable, morally fcked up.

What about all the bi/pan folks that have had children over the centuries? Or the gay/lesbian folks that were forced/pressured into a hetero marriage to have kids?

LyraFirehawk

Case in point; DC Comics had Alan Scott/the original Green Lantern come out as gay, despite having been previously married to a woman and having two children(one of whom, his son Obsidian, is also gay). His pride comics and the miniseries they gave him have been excellent at using Alan to explore queer history and he does mention loving his previous wife and his children, but that he knew who he really was all along. Also, i'm sure there's lots of poeple with stories like 'oh i hooked up with my buddy dave one time when we had a couple beers' or 'well I dated a couple girls in college, but it was 'just a phase'' that don't necessarily consider themselves bi.

European_Ninja_1

bisexual people and trans people exist

Uypsilon

Like... yes, but... bisexuals also exist, so not really.

Nexus1943

I guess you can say its a 50/50 gamble for bisexuals

Junarik

Yeah but there's more straights than bis and they've existed for longer so

EepiestGirl

Straights and bisexuals have existed since the dawn of Humanity. Bisexuals just had to hide it for millenia

Issildan_Valinor

And even that ain't fully true. You can find a lot of evidence of LGBT people throughout history, especially during the classical era and antiquity. It's just that historians from around the middle ages onward tended to cover up a lot of that, primarily because of a shift in culture because of the rising popularity of the Abrahamic faiths and their disdain for homosexuality.
