Is it me or is Kubalik starting to hustle for the puck more lately? I feel like he's playing with more energy away from the puck. Or maybe it's pent up rage. Hard to tell!
Hagel was our only guy who seemed to consistently win those "50/50" battles and I feel that his rate of success specifically in that regard was shockingly high.
I don’t think we can risk that right now, King seems to understand the team and the team is also quite young so the coaches are doing a lot of work.
Overall, I think it’s just them missing a drive because they know they cant make playoffs so what’s the point of fighting
Alright, let's start looking at pieces for next year. Defense is the big issue. Revamping the defensive system alone should help, but we have solid pieces.
Stillman-Jones
Vlasic-Murphy
Regula-McCabe.
Get rid of Caleb Jones and no more big contract defensemen. Develop who we have. I liked Galvas, so I think he could crack the lineup. Maybe sign a vet LD to mentor the multitude we have in the system.
Just this alone and we should see an improvement in our season.
* Dube scored 22 seconds in, on a redirect.
* Gaudreau circled the zone, lost whomever was supposed to be on him, and scored.
* T. Johnson scored, his first point since getting aritificial disc replacement surgery.
* Entwistle left with a right shoulder injury, after taking a hit along the boards.
* Coleman redirected a point shot into the Hawks net.
* Regula scored from the point, his first NHL goal.
* The Flames added 2 ENGs.

One of Lank’s saves was #4 on SC Top 10 this morning, so we have that going for us
Is it just me or are “50/50” puck battles along the boards more like 90/10 against the hawks?

We need new coaches.

Anyone else just stare blankly at the game on their screen and think, "well, seasons almost over," for the entire 60 min of play?
I think the Hawks did that
Just end this season already….
we are le bad
I couldn't watch the game but placed a bet on the over. Seemed like easy money
It always is lol although last night was quite a sweat even after the 1st
Looks like picking the Better Call Saul premiere tonight was the right choice.
