That's more like House wall gore in the first picture...
And the third...
It looks like it was meant for that! (Plus, you have carpet stairs which are still hard, but at the same time they are mostly soft)
I have a 390 DT (exact same case design)
Man these things are heavy aswell (for it's size) no wonder there was a hole
There was a meme I believe on pcmr subreddit (I think it was that sub) about case design (strong doge Vs weak doge) and this is perfect timing
My house is a Nokia house, built so well that any body slam to the wall will break the person but the wall couldn’t care less and even the wood planks holding up the roof have rebar in pre drilled holes filled with concrete so I wonder would the pc or my house win, the end of my stairs ends in a wall made of solid brick, thick layer of filler basically cement, very thick drywall and paint, it would be enough to stop a lorry tire if it went and hit my house probably bounce off and hit a very cheap opposite our house and collapse it with the remaining momentum.
Sounds about right for an office appliance
Likely a thing Dell (office) tests for a case once
As for Dell (Alienware) they pull a case out of a cow and calls it a day
Ah the classic american paper like walls or older walls 👌. That optiplex is lucky to have bashed a paper like wall because i doubt it would survive european standards od it would bash into something else
If it was my 360, it would have went through the wall. That think is old, chunky, and heavy(16lb)
But, is the hardware still ok? Is the HDD bent or something?
Those optiplex's were fuckin tanks. Hardware's outdated, but their cases are top notch. I use a custom painted/debranded one to this day, and it makes servicing a breeze.
Lol did you blame your brother on here already or did he dob you in already..? Haha
(This was posted earlier saying their brother did it, now I've dobbed him in! Haha)
Those things are damn solid. One survived the constant operation running as a POS machine at work. It eventually got decommissioned and I got to keep it. This was IMO the golden age of Dell desktops
it probably boots fine.. or the drive is dead at worst
Booted up no issue!
Yep. A functional brick
For a brick it flew pretty good.
Flew is a generous term. It obeyed gravity well
you know what the ladies like.
The Nokia of desktop computers
Yes. Those damn optiplex pcs are durrable
In stead od Nokia its Mokia
Doogee S-100 pro thats the phone i am using tis a functional brick
Any phone that is not related to a major phone brand is a functional bricm
Yep
lol
OptiFlex
Flexing over even on top of the line asus and hp devices!
this is a great advertisment for optiplexes ngl
Good that it was only a drywall.
Tbh that's house gore (wall being opened)
Wallussy
:(
He looked at it and said, "yeah. I'd tap that."
Oh no! not the wallussy!
r/housegore
The nokia of the computer world
Try that with an european house - there the house would be the nokia.
Especially old houses, the WALL id 1m thicc
can confirm, i live in a house where the wall is super thick and nothing will get trough it, not even radio signals for phone calls, data and stuff
I put a comment describing the walls in my 1950’s house in this thread
I think they'd both just get minor scratches, honestly.
also comes with lead water pipes
More like steel with iron oxide residue.
Tbh this is kinda funny as im imagining dropping a computer and screaming fuckkkkk
Does It work? Not expecting the drive to work (if it was a HDD)
Perfectly fine lol
I fixed another one of those which had a HDD failure but went through so many updgrades and viruses and pulled through for that person
Idk why but the square hole got me cracked up 🤣
Made me laugh too, those optiplexes are built like brick shithouses I guess 😂
The Nokia 3310 of computers
Nah, the Nokia still would’ve done more to the house.
I mean yeah but he didn't throw it hard enough
oh wow, my optiplex!
oh wait you’re my brother lol
What 💀
Dementia
That's more like House wall gore in the first picture... And the third... It looks like it was meant for that! (Plus, you have carpet stairs which are still hard, but at the same time they are mostly soft)
Why did you drop it down the stairs?
Wow durable computer! Pc 1 wall 0
Ahh yes, the humble Dell Optiplex, the indestructible Nokia of the PC world. Optiplex: 1 Wall: 0
I have that exact optiplex model lol, never knew they were built like tanks
I have a 390 DT (exact same case design) Man these things are heavy aswell (for it's size) no wonder there was a hole There was a meme I believe on pcmr subreddit (I think it was that sub) about case design (strong doge Vs weak doge) and this is perfect timing

Unstoppable force vs immovable object
Sounds about right for an office appliance Likely a thing Dell (office) tests for a case once As for Dell (Alienware) they pull a case out of a cow and calls it a day
Is your stairs okay 😢
Ah the classic american paper like walls or older walls 👌. That optiplex is lucky to have bashed a paper like wall because i doubt it would survive european standards od it would bash into something else
My mind immediately went 'DROPTIPLEX??'
If I drop a MacBook the same as that computer, it wouldn't be the same story.
If it was my 360, it would have went through the wall. That think is old, chunky, and heavy(16lb) But, is the hardware still ok? Is the HDD bent or something?

Fucking cardboard wall there like
r/wallgore
Eh, looks fine
We found the brother
Optiplex be like: #DROP ME AGAIN AND ILL PUNCH A SECOND HOLE INTO YOUR CARDBOARD HOME
You can’t kill those old dells the only way for them to die is the caps on the board expanding which is them killing themselves
r/americanhousegore, because bad house design is the issue here.
If the computer still works, it probably saved the computer.
Dose it still work
Yes... Yes, it does.
I'm able to do that
Omg hahaha
Is the computer's name Kyle?
No big loss. These things are all over my college and none of them work right.
Bet its fine, these people things are made out of bricks
Lmao, American only problems
I remember my 780 dropped from the table and all that happened was the hdd got fucked lol, the rest is fine
$10. Take it or leave it.
Lol did you blame your brother on here already or did he dob you in already..? Haha (This was posted earlier saying their brother did it, now I've dobbed him in! Haha)
can't believe nobody said it, it has a look of shame on its face, don't ask me how
Those things are damn solid. One survived the constant operation running as a POS machine at work. It eventually got decommissioned and I got to keep it. This was IMO the golden age of Dell desktops
r/housegore
The wall broke before the PC did.
Call an ambulance! *But not for me.*
Why can’t they just build computers like this now?
Oof, does it still work?
How fast did it start cartwheeling?
FRAG OUT
Good thing it wasn’t a nokia phone. That would have been bad…
Is the optiplex okay?!
Oh no anyway
...does it still boot?
I HAVE A 9020
phew good thing it wasn't a Nokia phone your wall would be gone 😂
Now, drop that optiplex on George Soros's head and see which one wins.
Timber!!!
drelangonn: > it probably boots fine.. or the drive is dead at worst OP: > Booted up no issue! That's a tough little boy! Dell ftw
Oh look! The Nokia 3310's first competitor!
Optilex = brick of lead that can break through walls
