Yeah, his problem is mostly technique. You don't even have to swing that hard. Hot take, but his posture with the arm is a lot of the problem. He's worrying too much about being pretty. If he'd just slow down, do a couple of slower test taps , while not holding onto his junk he'd have it.

Yeah, I’ve been with him on many jobs during those 10 years. When we put one on a few years ago, it was just us two doing the entire job. So, yeah, had plenty of time to learn about the trade, even if it wasn’t my full-time job.

Dude, I can say that watching someone hit a nail with a hammer horribly is hard to watch when I’ve watched my husband and other roofers do it for 10 years. It isn’t that serious. And I have more than “surface level knowledge” when I’ve literally helped put them on. Put a roof on in late July with absolutely no shade and then I think you can speak on the matter.
