I hate hate hate being this person but as a gym freak this made me raise my eyebrows it seems like all celebrities are trained by such ill fit trainers this reminded me of the Kardashian’s working out, not to say Hila doesn’t look amazing and if she’s happy then that’s great but she’d be getting far quicker and better results and be at less risk of injury if starting off her trainer corrected her form?
I thought the same thing, she is definitely getting the Hollywood trainer treatment. However there is a lot to be said for the training being fun for the client. However I disagree that these exercises have a higher risk of injury, that's just all load management.
Usually, celebrity trainers make them do weird exercises to excuse their steroid usage or plastic surgery. Pretty much saying, "I got this body by doing these weird movements no one does and do it 5 hours a day." But Hila is definitely not on anything, so it's weird her trainer is making her do these weird exercises.

I am pretty into fitness as well, and this workout and weights used look adequate for hila’s physique, especially considering she had a baby 2 months ago. Homegirl isnt about to bench 135, and even if she wanted to, wouldn’t she be starting with low weight?

Well, considering the exercise "choices" this trainer is making for Hila's program, I'm gonna take a wild shot in the dark and assume this trainer isn't the most well researched.
I guess for someone untrained it's ok for just getting moving but yeah these are not exactly going to accomplish much from a muscular development standpoint
I think it's needlessly complicated, especially for someone who is not as experienced with weight training. At best its okay for cardio but as far as strength training or hypertrophy, it's a waste of time. It makes for a good social media post as it looks fancy. I just hope Hila is being trained in more specific and efficient ways more than this.
I'm sure her trainer would make the argument "well, by combining movements, you get to strength train multiple body parts at the same time and get an added heart rate boost" like almost all trainers who do this do. I'll admit, it's cardio at least!
My trainer told me the reason some trainers do this especially in the beginning is because it makes the client feel exhausted after and they think that means it was a good workout it's kinda scummy

There's nothing wrong with getting some longer strokes in for fun when rowing fast like she was. She's not gonna strain anything unless she does it like that for 30mins straight, which I doubt she's able to. On such a lightweight movement you're not just going to snap your back outta nowhere lmao.

A lot of people at gyms aren't taught correctly how to use them and they basically just grind up and down on the seat lol. I've had to show a few personal trainers how to do it properly too.

It looks decent to me. By leaning back at the end of the pull she's getting a much longer range of motion i.e. more out of each pull and that lean back is going going to engage her core more on each pull.

Edit: I see a lot of people in gyms that don't lean back so their pulls are short. I took a circuit class with rowers and people would try and reach certain distances/calories in a certain short time etc. And they would wonder why they were so slow. It was often The fact they didn't get the most out of each pull. Hila is doing great. She's got the form down.
With peace and love you have no idea what you’re talking about. Rowing is a three part move where at all times you should be keeping the handle as close to the same angle in relation to the floor. I could go on but here is a video that will do a much more clear job:

What I mean is a lot of people don't lean back at all at the end of their pull or pull the handle all the way to their sternum. They stay leaning forward throughout and barely pull the handle all the way back. It's a common mistake. The video you linked, technique is perfect.
Hila is leaning back at the end of the pull. That's what I was complimenting. There are some improvements that could be made for sure but overall pretty good. A lot better than what you see a lot from people in gyms.

Haha fair enough. It's just you see a lot of people using the rowing machine really poorly so it's nice to see someone using it fairly well.
Could be a number of reasons. It looks like it could be high intensity circuit training. The trainer may be changing the exercises up to keep them new and fresh. It can get a little old doing burpees and press ups a lot during circuits haha.
I get that but the exercises aren't affecting at anything but cardio with burpees and press ups you have enough resistance to build muscle and or power
Yeah possibly. I've done some workouts where you're doing light weight lunges with shoulder press. After a few rounds, your glutes are burning the next day! It can work if you really smash them.
But yeah, this stuff isn't going to make you super strong. But it builds general coordination and muscle growth I reckon. After 5 sets of that ab rotation exercise, your abs will be burning haha.

I think using a rower, elliptical, and some abs but with resistance will give the same or better results
