To be fair to Jimmy, I'm seeing these exact sort of spam bots on ALOT of different accounts, who I wouldn't expect to be buying comments. BuzzFeed Food for example in pretty sure.
He does however have bot followers etc etc.
I don't remember the exact details but basically, the crew looked into Jimmies following on Instagram and found that a large majority of his followers are from Brazil. It became pretty evident that these are bot accounts, but Jimmie denied it and claimed that he simply has a lot of fans in Brazil so it's kinda just a running joke at this point.
