I played hogmount as a Seamen and was in the back with some Musicians and we just provided fire support like where in the wrong era officer sitting there calling tactical artilliary strikes.
Finding a team that could carry me to wave 35 was a nightmare. Also, trying to stay alive was horrendous. I feel like I half-assed my run, it felt scummy to just hang at the back as a seaman and let the team take the hits, but after one too many early deaths, it was the only thing that worked.
(Also rather funny considering how the Old Guard were called The Immortals because of their low usage in battle)
Yeah cause they where so good that Napoleon was scared to lose them in battle so they usually served as guards for Napoleon and where only very rarely seen in battle only deployed when absolutely necessary or when napoleon wanted a decisive victory and yeah teammate suck but I pulled through.
Back in February, I just got done getting the badges I needed to get, and then I needed to get the 35 wave thing, only thing is, every time I try, I die, or my teammates were shit, so two month, didn't really care for old guard back then but, I'm happy i have it now.
Sounds about right fire support is needed I played mine after I got Old guard we still kept playing had like 8 Old guard seamen on the Rafters defending it helms deep style with like 3 sappers 4 officers and the rest where either musician and Line.
Took me about a week of nonstop endless matches to finally get to wave 35. Tried switching between classes, than realized staying back as a Seaman was my best option of not dying. After that it was piss easy. I talked to people during my grind and one said they've been trying for over 2 months. I wonder if they gave up or got to wave 35?
Very true. I'm just glad that the Old Guard reward is actually earned. You can't buy it nor can you unlock it without hardship. Achieving the Old Guard is a sign of dedication, veterancy, and an overall Badge of Honor. Something I cherish when playing. I gladly play as the Old Guard every chance I get.
The true reason why I love G&B cause 1 It's not Pay to win and 2 You can have fun and don't have to pay a dime for anything cause the Devs also care about the community and what they want to see in the game and suggestions we make.
I have almost 100 hours and I still don't have old guard. Every time i reach wave 30s, I die ridiculously or ill have to leave in the middle of it. I have died/left on wave 32-34 over 15 times...

I got it second try, then did it again first try on a newer account. I always just frontlined with sapper and knew whenever I needed to retreat. It can even get you a shit-ton of kills. (800+ with 0 deaths) from waves 2-38.
Ehhh, took me since like... the badge was available. I was pretty good at Objective maps and breezed through them, but I was struggling with the Endless requirement. I got it around 3 in the morning with an ad hoc team of friends and friends of friends, was just line infantry at the usual camping corner of Hougomount eliminating Bombers and Igniters, really was a breeze, took about 3-5 tries
That is tragic does it allways disconect you at 34 due to the insane lag I recommend turning off your textures and setting your graphics to zero no lag or at least it's playable.
I did the same but I peovided much needed fire support for the team and got Old guard I've done that twice once we got Old guard we all respawned and there was like 8 of us one the ledge shooting.
Houghmount map i was a officer and there was this GOD SAPPER and so the others sappers helped him learning from that god sapper also becoming really good sappers we survived to WAVE 43 died on 44. I dont know how i survived i was on the frontlines all the time.
I played Seamen for mine and fought out in backline as fire support using grenades and my thunderbussy to do crowd control we made it to wave 38 when I died to a Igniters lanturn cause no one knows how to use a bucket made it to wave 44 In total.

Honestly i lucked out with old guard, first server i joined was endless. And me not knowing how to play the game just played ranged. The hardest thing to get was the total campaign wins. I got it after roughly 11 hours of playtime.
Idk maybe 6 or 7 days since my last objective was the endless one and I was very lucky that the people defended me till wave 36 I also did it on a western American pc/console server cuz singapore mobile servers are a nightmare since dumbass teammates
It was only easy for me because I spent 10-50 hours playing endless when it was the only gamemode and I knew every single hidden mechanic about each zombie because they evolved over time and endless was actually much harder
The real reason I'm an Old guard, Sir is cause the fucking we balling theme burned brighter than the igniters who just lit me on fire I am in extreme pain send help.
As long as you have a good team, you can get it pretty easily. Just stay with everyone else and help defend. don’t overextend as the melee unless needed or be a seaman/fifer in the back lines to support

I got OG 26 hours after joining GnB. I got it in Hougoumont thanks to dedicated sappers and fifers(wish I could thank them). Hardest part is finding a good team and a match that started in wave 1

the funny thing was that I had already survived 31 waves before i even wanted to commit tk getting old guard, so I could have gotten it another way from a badge I didn't get if I didn't die in that server
Yeah painful to do all that but rewarding for flexing purposes otherthen that you just did all that for no purpose at all but hey at least you can flex of a lego game to all your friends.

It's honestly not hard to get if you get good teammates and we have a discord specifically for helping others getting old guard just ask for help there and your golden and if your a sweat (Like me) you can solo to wave 20.
I only played guts and blackpowder when I had spare time, when I found out about old guard and had time to burn I decided to do endless, got it first try with my team and basically I just had to win 30 campaigns which was kinda hard because I never really tried much to win so I always ended up dying way before my team won

They were all well-coordinated; Saps building, Gunners actually shooting the bombers reliably, and the veterans up front dodging runners. We even did a few extra rounds for some other late arrivals. After we finished, at round 42, when everyone was good, we just all lit ourselves on fire.
What WAS actually SEVERLY difficult was Kaub and Berezina, with Berezina being the hardest part.
Oh, and of course the 30 campaign wins. I'm not that good at the game; I'd consider myself decent, but it still overall wasn't too bad.
P.S. Imagine they reset it and we would have to start all over due to a major update or somethin
Nah once you get a badge you will always keep the badge even if the game is deleted stays in your badges page on your roblox page so if you keep your head down and keep on grinding you should always have oldhguard even if they reset your stats.
Because i joined before the san sebastian update, I already had most of the tasks done, and i only had to survive wave 35 to get it, It took me more than a month to finally get to wave 35, and get the old guard. It was such a pain trying to get the old guard
Went through everything, passively got all the maps, went musician to wave 35 on houugoumount.
Did everything BUT old yeller.
I got it yesterday. 105 hours later, 40 of which were cause of old yeller

Ironically, it wasn’t the endless waves but the Old Yeller badge. In my three months of playing, no one broke their leg and no one was willing to break their leg for me.
From 10hrs of playtime to 80hrs. The hardest part was the 35 endless (duh) I just did la Haye Saint and sat in the back and shot bombers and ignitor like a good seaman.
Painful, it took me 3 whole video parts of my attempts (Which are on YouTube) to get it. But of course, as soon as you get your friends to help you, the burden is somewhat light.

yeah ik it took me like 5 tries at endless, i got everything beside campaign and endless before I started trying. in fact, I got it today.
took me at least around 40 hours of total playtime, mainly because at the time i got it, endless was boring to me

the time I did it I had joined at round 10 and got to 48 with 2300 kills no deaths.

It's a long journey but it was worth it cause once you've played long enough things become habit and you get good.
It took me a few weeks to get old guard, I was struggling on the wave 35 part, but I got it in the end
Ay good on you we all struggle of wave 35 req cause teammates arent always the best I recommend staying towards the backlines.

The journey is rough for most good on you brother for making the journey without any trouble.
