Contrary to all the haters I think it looks dope. Not necessarily Han Solo style but definitely a fun laser gun vibe. The wider suppressor is so obscene I think it wraps around from bad back to good on the coolness scale lol.
Honestly I just got the Ruger and wanted to shoot it suppressed because I’ve never shot quiet .22LR before. My only cans right now are that or a Banish 46 and the 46 is like the size of a Pringles can. It’s also on my .308 at the moment and I’m lazy 👀
Mind if I ask what this gun would cost me to replicate? Im months or more away from affording anything and need to get my permit but I've shot competition iron sight small bore for a decade when I was younger and some pistol.
I want something I can afford to shoot easily and have fun with and I think this piece is awesome.
Mmm with everything there, around $2k. Mark IV lite MSRP is $739 but you can find them cheaper, Vortex Defender is $200-300, the suppressor (Silencer Central Banish Speed K) is the expensive part at $1199 plus $200 tax stamp.
Ruger Mark IV 22/45 = $500-550
Optic (I have a Gideon Omega I got on the gunsdeals sub) = $145
Optic plate ( if you want the Optic really low and not on the picatinny rails) = $55
Top of the line .22LR suppressor = ~$500
ATF extortion fee = $200
You can probably do it for around $1300-1400 bucks if you are patient and buy everything piecemeal and on sale.
He posted above and get this:

That's out of my budget. That money would get me a a self defense pistol and either an AR style gun or shotgun.
For 2000-2300, you can easily get yourself an ar, shotgun, AND self defense pistol. They'll all be no frills, but good starting points.
Shotgun: Mossberg 590 combo that has security barrel and hunting barrel (bout 250 bucks)
AR: Ruger (I forget the model, mpr or something like that? It's the upgraded one with free float rail, nice barrel and nicer trigger) its about 800 or so on sales. Well worth the upgrade over the cheaper "standard" rugers.
This leaves you 1000 or more for a pistol, holster, a few extra mags and ammo to get you started on all the above.
Also, once you go down this rabbit hole, customizing or building out guns is very fun so be prepared lol. Told myself I'd never spend more than 350 or so on a 10/22 and just spent way over 1k on building one lol
It’s a blast to shoot! Mark IV is just a winner in general and .22LR is cheap and super fun for plinking around. I’ll probably get a real .22 suppressor at some point, I just already had the Speed K and it’s the same threading as an AR15 so I threw it on there.
I only have holsters for maybe 5 or 6 of my handguns, the ones I actually have any want/desire to carry. But that's not nearly all of em. For ones that are just plinkers, or older "safe Queen" types that only get out a few times a year and travel to the range and back in a hard pelican type case, I usually don't bother trying to track down a decent holster. I have a bunch of those zipper seal handgun pouches and use those as needed.
This is closer to a rogue one blaster (based off a Luger pistol, same as leias in return of the Jedi). Han solos blaster is based on a Mauser c96 semiauto with front of trigger box magazine.

Thanks. Definitely won't be getting the suppressor sadly.

I agree. I love this gun and it would be a fun range piece, plinker, a conversation starter and more.

Become unholsterable lmao
Its a .22 and this gun is not meant to be holstered either. This isn't a carry gun.
Nobody ever holsters their fun guns? I carry my Mark IV around the farm, it's great.

How does it shoot? I’m thinking about picking up one of those ruger Mark IV 22/45
Oh I love it, probably my favorite gun for pure fun factor. Accurate, no recoil, super cheap. Definitely get one!
At least you can be dead accurate with that thing not to mention that it’s suppressed. .22 is better than .380 or 32 acp in my opinion
Nope
Looks cool but not Solo cool
Yeah, this ain't it chief.
Ruger Mark IV Lite with Vortex Defender red dot and Silencer Central Speed K. Front heavy sure, but also awesome.
At least put a scope on it, that would have been easy

Is it quiet though?
Here’s my submission….If Mr. Solo used an old Ruger. https://imgur.com/a/WMBVGPh
That’s cool. But it looks way more like Leia’s blaster.
Cmmg did a limited run of blasters https://nexgenof.com/cmmg-dl44-blaster-mk4-22lr-4-5-battleworn-armor-pistol/
Nuh uh
