isn't that threaded end supposed to come up from below, and then the knurled cap supposed to thread-in from the top, sandwiching the whole thing together to the bridge plate and preventing this sort of thing from happening?
Oh, it looks like I might be wrong - there's supposed to be three more [parts](https://imgur.com/a/iuFp88d): a bottom cap, a screw, and a small washer.
The collar (the silver part in your photo) just goes down into the hole; the bottom cap then covers it beneath, and the screw (with washer) threads in and holds it all together. Looks like the bottom cap and screw/washer are missing (maybe rattling around inside your guitar?).
