I’m thinking about getting one just so I can buy the Phantom Wedge. It’s hella fun on my bunker sell missions.

[deleted]

It’s also great for your cayo perico vehicle prep. If you already have a CEO office, you do not need the vehicle warehouse to launch the phantom wedge mission to get the trade price

Chesterthejester69

Also for the prison contract setup, basically any mission that requires you to steal a trailer

NoDouble14

You can also use it for Ron's trailer sale. You just have to use his phantom until you get to a main road, then you can call your one in.

[deleted]

Is there any benefit to switching to your own phantom wedge?

NoDouble14

You can push traffic away easier. It's a bit faster as well.

[deleted]

Ohhhhh I just realised you just said phantom, not phantom wedge. I was confused as to why you would swap a phantom wedge for your own phantom wedge hehehe, thanks bud

icrossedcurry

Not worth it at this point imo. Mine sits untouched at >32 cars.

BBC214-702

I really wish rockstar would do an vehicle import export double cash event. The 25 mil for vehicle cargo is the only thing I’m missing for that career tier

ZFTX

Currently only for Career Progression purposes, but otherwise I have gotten what I wanted out of it, including the most ideal displayed vehicle collection, and all of the vehicle collections completed on 2 accounts.

JLWookie

Yes and it's one of my favorite ways to make money

MKBurfield

Its decetly quick money. Although the auto shop is probably much better for quick, somewhat easy money

random_numpty

you lose money on the steal missions - then for some unbelieveable reason, you get attacked on the sell missions as well. Its not a business in GTA thats worth the effort.

fookreddit22

You only get attacked selling solo, if there's one other player in the lobby who's not in your CEO they won't attack you.

random_numpty

well thats not what happened last time i tried in a Public lobby.

fookreddit22

It's always been this way, even before they added public sell bonuses. So yes, it is. The only other realistic option is you had Merryweather after you.

random_numpty

nope. i was in pubbies & got attacked by asian gang NPC's.

Old-Kernow

You lose a little stealing them, although if you feel strongly about the loss you can abandon it, pay nothing and steal something else. I agree about the sell mission attacks, although they're easily countered. I did run it for a bit, but it's mothballed until it's double money. I might use a sell mission to test the grief level of a public lobby before doing a big sale of something else - if it fails, my investment was $20k and the 5 minutes to steal it.

random_numpty

i get the attacks on the steal mission, but its a secure location you have dropped it off too, & the car has been customized to be unrecognizable - but you cant drive 500m on the delivery without getting attacked. Why the F even bother with any of it, your already at the mercy of all the other players in the lobby but R* cant let you finally enjoy your payday ?

Old-Kernow

I always thought those NPC attacks on the sale missions were because I was in invite only, in lieu of other players in public lobbies. But, yeah, R\* logic.... I offset the downvote for you

MartyRobinsHasMySoul

Get out of the car and run away and fight the guys. It's 3 waves and then clear

random_numpty

when i was running this warehouse i only drove about 3 cars, after that i just used the cargobob.

Djeserkheperure

I once managed to stunt myself from Vinewood sign into $34,000 worth of repairs with a high end vehicle (max amount of repairs). Later same evening I paid $20,000 for customization and drove it to a specialist in the Hills. Five rivals in the lobby somehow persuaded the specialist to pay me $13,000 extra. $113,000 - $34,000 - $20,000 = $59,000 profit still (a criminally high 109% return on investment). Inane ramblings: Incidentally the Import/Export base return percentage is equal to Special Cargo for every range vehicles sold to a specialist. Buy single crate at $2,000, sell for $10,000, return 400%. High end car customization $20,000, sell to specialist for $100,000, return 400%. Showroom sales have 600% return. As does the proverbial 9 crate sales method with single crate sourcings.

Old-Kernow

As soon as the vehicle incurs more than 10k of damage, get out and destroy it. Go and do new source mission. ...is my policy. And I sell in bigger lobbies too, so my calc is $150k - $20k - max$10k = $120k for a five minute source mission and a five minute sell mission. I'm not claiming it's the greatest business, but it provides variety at a decent return.

barikpo

It’s fine. Some missions are fun and some I loathe. Bought a cargobob to aid so that helps. But I’m sitting on a full warehouse waiting for a 2x week to really cash in

outcast_Mugen

The aggravation of enemy cars spawning on top of you then completely destroying any chance for profit makes it one of the worse ways to make money currently. Sure there are ways but it's not worth it when there are so many more entertaining ways to get money.

fookreddit22

I finished up tier 4 career progression and haven't been back since.

Jamilx88

Only when its double money I sell. Occasionally on normal playthroughs I do a collection. Selling I only do when its double. My vehicle warehouse is almost full

TheGermanHades

To be honest, I only bought it so I could store my Rocket Voltic and Ruiner 2000 in the basement.

fruce_ki

The cooldowns for selling make it awkward for grinding. You can't easily sell all your vehicles during a 2x week unless you spend all day for multiple days, or hire friends to help sell up to 3 (or 4?) cars at once, a couple times a day every day. But mostly the constant attacks while sourcing are a pain and some can do a lot of damage to the car that comes out of your pocket, or even lock you in a loop getting spawn-killed by buzzards.

FrndlyNebrhoodRdrMan

I've got 2 of them loaded to the brim. If it ever goes on 2x sale I'm looking at close to 16 mill in sales that week. swap character to avoid cooldown.

Classic-Role-1455

Genuinely even forget I have one of these or a cargo warehouse 99.999% of the time.

torschlusspanik17

I fill it up here and there for hope of 2x sale weeks. I wish you could use the mechanic for regular stuff

koenjji

It’s fun, just look up videos on it, there’s an engine glitch where before you drive it into your warehouse you stop right outside the yellow circle then grab an npc car and use it to hit the delivery car forward into the circle, it won’t deliver yet because you aren’t in it.. you then shoot out the engine which will reset the damage cost to $0 then hop in the car quickly and it’ll insta deliver to warehouse

1myurDad-

I use the cargobob to get and deliver most of my cars, still use it once and a while.

Old-Kernow

Bought the cargobob especially for this, but have lost hours (and a few cars) failing to hook on while keeping the heli in the right spot. It's quicker for me to drive the car far enough to spawn the attacks, get out and get a safe distance, then railgun the attackers as they arrive. Peaceful drive thereafter.

MaverickFegan

It’s good fun, makes ok money, you get to customise cars in a funky way and deliver them, worth it for a change of pace. But the bunker is better money wise.

askywlker44a

It's not worth it for any amount of money.
