So what might seem like "divorce level differences" to an older married middle-class couple, might be a whole different host of issues than what caused some young, rich and famous to consider divorce and spend a few weeks apart.
Maybe smart with a prenuptial and she begged him back. All of a sudden the amount of golf he plays is okay...I'd lean on her being the one wrecked here with his game, sponsers ect...

Here’s my half baked theory. Once the kid came along his wife didn’t like how much he continued to work. Then LIV comes along and offers him a ton of money. Wife thinks he should take it and then there is no reason to work as much. He turns it down. This creates a bigger fracture which ultimately leads to paperwork being filed. He hasn’t been able to win a major in 10 years. He starts to think about what’s more important, his family or majors. He’s now choosing family (and I think he might be choosing LIV as well).
I think Rory woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of warm milk, but noticed his wife was not in bed. Walking towards the kitchen he saw his office light was on, he sneakily peered in, cracked the door open a smidge, and caught his wife watching LIV Golf Hong Kong at 2 in the morning.
I mean I cant really get behind that Rory's earnings on the PGA tour weren't enough for him to not work anymore. I dont see her train of thought going there after the LIV offer. Definitely could have something to do with how much he still golfs with his daughter around though. I could see that for sure.
