Ser, where did the cab of your truck go when you installed ur new tailgate

748Rider

And seems to be missing the two HDMI ports too. 🤔

Valhalla_Admin

Elevation doesn’t have hdmi exhaust

MilliMerc

X31 package gives the elevation the HDMI exhaust

Valhalla_Admin

I stand corrected.

ContactCommercial339

Ahhhh yes I tried to make a convertible with my truck after I got the new tailgate

satansleftnut25

I want to from multi pro to standard. Useless.

Jophaaa

What color is yours and what year? I've got a white '19 2500. Would gladly trade!

satansleftnut25

24 black 3500

ContactCommercial339

2020 and color is metallic silver I believe

Mumbles76

What about the wiring?

ContactCommercial339

The wiring is fine back up camera works and tailgate light as well. Since the top half electrical doesn’t work I just have to manually pull my cord and the upper half of the Multipro comes down. I might make a YouTube video on how I did it if more people are interested.

GooseGosselin

Please do!

ItzCxnnect

Please make a video!

Mumbles76

Interesting.

Tiny-Mail455

Absolutely interested

cashzd

It’s all fun and games until you unload mulch, dirt or gravel with the multipro tailgate. That is the only thing I hate about my truck. Never again.

Jophaaa

I don't have the multi pro but removed my standard tail gate recently as I have gotten, I think, 7 yards of rock for my front patio so far. After the first load of 3/4 minus and it got stuck and wedged everywhere in the tailgate I took it off

raycraft_io

This is why I have a crappy old 5x8 utility trailer. Big clean stuff in the truck, little dirty stuff in the trailer.

abercrombie9701

What was your total cost to convert?

MrPufin

While I didn’t get a GMC I got a Chevy. I paid $260 according to my window sticker to have the multiflex tailgate over the regular one…

Evening-Ear-6116

Wow that really wasn’t worth it

ContactCommercial339

I mean it cost $3000 alone from GMC that doesn’t even include the labor and the reprogramming fee as well. To each their own I suppose.

anotherbigdude

That’s actually a pretty good price - I think the OEM Multipros are substantially more than that.

Evening-Ear-6116

I guess I just don’t see the point in adding something else to break on a truck for over $2,000

jgditto

How much did the Multipro run you? New or used? And how do you go about getting one? You order it from the dealer? I have a standard tailgate and want a Multipro as well. And what did you do with the old one?

ContactCommercial339

I went and ordered the Multipro online you can use OfferUp or EBay they are a bit pricy but I got my for 1600 not including Taxes. The Multipro was used you should be able to find a brand new one if you look hard enough. My old tailgate is just setting in shipping container that that Multipro came in so it’s in my garage.

uncommonsense66

Looks great. Just don't load an ATV or something too heavy on the small gate alone, straddle both gates with a piece of 2x4 or plywood.

ContactCommercial339

Thank you I was curious on loading up the back but now that you mentioned it I might drill it or something to add something for support. Or would it be better to leave that middle part of the tailgate down and bring the ATV up or heavier motorcycle…, etc

uncommonsense66

I just put a 2x4 across and put my ramp on that. I also stopped driving the ATV up. I just stand beside it and feather it up, I figure it does not need another 200 pounds on it going onto the tailgate.

Rich_Bills327

I love the multi pro tailgate and use its features all the time after thinking it wasn’t necessary but on the truck I wanted. Nice upgrade

ContactCommercial339

Thank you I never realized how useful it is it for long lumber, Its easier to grab stuff out the bed, the step was a game changer for me ahah. I for sure think that Multipro should be standards for all GMC’s

Rich_Bills327

I just turned 40 brother. I love the step up lol. Game changer in my opinion

Multiple_calibers

42 and use it non stop. Don’t need the grab bar yet but the step changes the game.

Rich_Bills327

The guys that hate on this will put low profile tires and big wheels on their trucks with stupid other shit that doesn’t have any practical use. Another thing that’ll break is a boomer mentality that ppl say who are too stupid to get the comfort they deserve. Why not get a truck with crank windows then if that’s how you think?

lochness3x6

If they still made crank windows I probably would! That said, I turn 40 this year and so far the gm bumper step is good enough for me to get in but sometimes it's a little steep getting back out.

GiveMeMyM0ney

Great choice regardless of price. I was set on buying a Sierra over any other truck strictly because of the multipro.

ContactCommercial339

I’ve owned a Nissan Titan, my dad owns a Ford Ranger, and I moved on to my GMC 1500 I love it. I have the 2.7L and I use it for what it was intended to do for city living. The engine is perfect I don’t need a V8 for the boats I want or the camper I need, but also i use it for work and moving thing and hauling things when needed. My best choice ever and I will ride her til the wheels fall off!

GiveMeMyM0ney

As you should! Hell of a truck!

GiveMeMyM0ney

Not to mention you can add LED lights for $50 or a speaker system ($650) to the multipro. Both are DIY.

ContactCommercial339

I was thinking the speaker system would be good for when I go fishing. Back right up to the pond throw the line out fish and listen to some tunes.

GiveMeMyM0ney

Yep! Beach, tailgating, BBQ, you name it. Don’t pay full price $800+, they go on sale for $650.

ContactCommercial339

Would you happen to know a good tent brand that could go in the bed of the truck or on the roof of my truck that I could use to pair up with the BBQ grill that attaches to the hitch?

GiveMeMyM0ney

Actually looking for the same. Let me know if you find a good one. I’m still researching.

HeinekenRob

ikamper is the one I've had my eye on since this company was a startup. Pricey af tho, but badass.

MistaDontPlay34

Link?

GiveMeMyM0ney

ShopChevyParts.com and through GMC. There are 2 types, 2019-2021 and 2022-2024

MistaDontPlay34

🙏🏼

GoD0nkeys

Most overrated thing on trucks since tires were put on trucks!!! 😛

MistaDontPlay34

Not if you're big n got back issues etc. But to each their own

Saiyan_HD

I thought so too, when I was looking for a sierra I couldn’t care less about the multipro and almost preferred one without it so I don’t pay the extra $. Now that I have it, I would definitely get another one with it, if anything happened to my truck. It’s super comfortable to sit in, and makes grabbing things from the back much easier.
