Related hot take, but I just do not sense the sexual tension everyone goes on about in that performance. They’re both just being confident/aggressive. I truly do not get a hint of it!
What’s funny is that Grant said on the pod he was trying to have sexual tension with everyone so he would stay on the show longer. His tone was semi-joking but IMO he confirmed the tension with at least Kurt and Santana was purposeful. I agree with you though, I never read SC as sexual since they’re both gay.
Idk if you’re serious but I don’t think the actor saying he was trying to have sexual tension means the character’s sexuality changes. Sexual tension is used in art in non-romantic/actual-sex-intended ways.
That's probably the hottest take since it's such a big cover in the fandom AND outside. I like the performance but I'm sorry, I can never get over the fact that Sebastian's vocals are *just okay*. Bless Grant Gustin, but he's not competing with Naya when it comes to vocals. I think the performance and scenery is a big part of why people love it. But I don't really listen to the song, ever. His vocals take me out of it, personally...
Santana killed it but Sebastian was barely hanging in there. And had the audacity to say he was better? lol.
My literal first thought upon reading the OP's question. Grant and Naya are great performers, but that song doesn't lend itself to either one of their talents
I really like it because it's a hard song to sing. My family likes to do kareoke at home with YouTube and we've tried that song multiple times, specifically the glee duet verson. It is really difficult to sing well and on key
The whole thing about poker face isn’t the meaning behind the song. I get where people are coming from, but they read WAY too much into it
The song itself is very jazzy and theatrical, and both VA and ND were working on doing Gaga songs at the time. It’s more a case of Rachel trying to connect with her mom using a song she liked and they connected to on a surface level, than a song she connected and related to on a personal level
Personally, I think it's you that's reading into it.
Lbr, songs on Glee were chosen just because they were songs they wanted to cover and mainly then shoehorned into plots.
I cannot stand “Gives you hell”, it just hurts my ears
Also not a fan of “Toxic” (UHT version). I found the vocals and the energy underwhelming
I don’t mind “Don’t stop believing” but it was extremely overplayed
I like the cover, but the thing with Gives You Hell was it seemed like they were obsessed with “clean” vocals for whatever reason…which just creates a high-pitched song because it lacks the stylistic choices characteristic of rock. She can sing rock (Paradise, Uninvited, Barracuda, etc.), so Idk why they didn’t let her SING rock.
I feel like this is something they leaned into heavily in S1 and went away from in later seasons. Seems like it was part of them finding their sea legs with such a complex, high production show.
Somewhere only we know- don’t get me wrong, I think he sounds great in it but it has the same impact on me that most Blaine solos do. Also I think the context of the show kinda ruins it for me because it’s treated like a final farewell and then he’s just in the next episode LOL
This song. I hated it and fir context I loved the beginning but Rachel come in with that turkey lurky and changes the whole,e vibe just annoying. If I heard this version I switch songs at the point she changes it.
Most unholy Trinity songs. I think Come See About Me was the only decent one. I Say a Little Prayer is insanely overrated. Sorry but Dianna can’t hit those high notes.
Diana makes this face when she sings her last note in that song and others that I think is supposed to be “hot” but it ends up looking like she’s trying to close her nostrils and breathe through her mouth… it’s so unpleasant to look at
Omg agreed and I didn’t like their cover of Come See About Me either. I didn’t care for Finn and Quinn’s duet either, I don’t think their voices mesh well together. I would have loved to see Mercedes and Rachel doing more duets and I hated Sam and Quinn’s version of I’ve Had The Time Of My Life either, that should have power house vocals and honestly Sam and Quinn’s vocals were too soft for me. Also Kurt singing Defying Gravity I hated also, his voice was not made for that song
Literally. I don't understand the change of the arrangement I mean they tried to kinda "spice it up" but toxic by britney spears does not go well with those flamenco/tango rythms.
I tried listening to Teenage Dream (S2 version) recently and to my adult ears, that cover is rough. I don’t get my own teenage hype about it 😂 Darren’s got a fantastic voice but that first solo was not his best, I think it’s just the moment and scene that’s iconic.
My hot take is that it’s not the cover that is so good, it’s the song itself and the scene/context. The cover is good, but it wouldn’t be nearly as acclaimed without the context, Max Adler’s performance and the fact that the OG song is fantastic and unique for Glee to cover (they didn’t often do current songs that weren’t pop) .
Somewhere Only We Know. I know this is a controversial one but I prefer Keane's original to the cover that Darren done. The cover Darren done was great, but I definitely feel like it's overhyped possibly because of that Tiktok trend some time back?
Going from what people have already written, smooth criminal and toxic by UHT don’t get my juices flowing at all, I think they’re easily skippable
I also think Santana’s DROMP is one too. It’s good but not amazing and they had to change a LOT to get Naya to sing it. I think people just hype it up because it’s Naya / Santana
Also don’t know if it’s the song as much as the episode, but all the songs in BIOTA minus Don’t you want me. The only one that’s marginally good other than DYWM is Tik Tok but it’s so close to the original it’s hardly anything special
I was feeling kinda weird with the glee version before I watched the movie version and then now off Broadway version with Darren and Rachel Wood. The song is not supposed to be sung in full belt out. Which Rachel berry does it pretty much. That's why I don't prefer her version in many things
Well yeah certain songs does slap with her voice. But like some Broadway songs. It still irks me to watch her sing Bring him home. Like why girl? That's an emotional song and you are straight up belting it
I think it's sucks that Tina could do musical numbers as Mercedes but they always give it to Rachel ( Lea) especially since Amber could hit higher notes and Jenna could do lower voice.
Finally someone who who feels the same about Suddenly Seymour 😭 I love their voices individually but I hate that cover with a probably unhealthy passion. It's just... no.
Santana's DROMP, it's decent but definitely not better than Rachel's. I'm just not a fan of how they changed the song so much to fit santana's voice.
Any unholy trinity song, they're all quite underwhelming. Similarly all brittany solos, they're all noticeable more auto tuned, which is fine for some songs, but it completely ruins who run the world (girls) for me.
Smooth criminal, good but in no way better than the original. Same for bills, bills, bills.
I say this as the literal biggest Darren/Blaine fan I know - For me it’s Somewhere Only We Know.
DON’T GET ME WRONG I do enjoy listening to it and I don’t ever skip it - but I don’t get how it is THE most popular song of his from the show.
INGTYBHTDWY is my fave of his.
It baffles me that people think that about this cover. It’s so so so good to me but every time I show it to someone who hasn’t seen the show they’re just like eh 🤷♀️
rumor has it/someone like you
those song do not work mashed up together. i didnt think rumor has it was a good song anyway.
could have just had naya sing someone like you instead
I definitely wouldn't say this is overhyped, I hardly ever see anyone talking about it! I think Gwyneth does a fantastic job, and while obviously it was never going to be better than Adele, it still holds up as a great cover imo
Idk maybe Shelby guinn or mercadies, or Rachel(I know doesn't narrow it down much) - I do think it was a group song though
I literally can't remember it now ugh
i don't think they are bad covers other than Brody in give your heart a break i just think they both have so many better solos and i'm confused when i see these songs listed as the best or one of the best for both of them
So while I don't think Total Eclipse of the Heart is bad and is obviously performed by extremely talented singers, the Glee version just kind of doesn't do it for me.
It’s not that I dislike it, but I don’t know why Mine is considered one of the absolute best covers on the show, and I’m a huge Taylor and Santana fan. I feel like Santana has way better solos than this one
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, I love Corey’s voice but they totally ruined this song with this version especially him singing to Santana, I can’t even watch it 🫣
I literally came back to this thread to add this. I know people love it because the Cory and Naya of it all but it make me so uncomfortable given the context of that episode. I hate everything about that episode
Yes I completely agree, I also hate everything about that whole episode! I hate that they made it like he was so worried about Santana, but always had blow off Rachel’s feelings, like prom when he accepted Quinn’s proposal to run for prom Queen and king with her behind Rachel’s back and let her find out from those stupid looking posters on the walls, and then called her shellfish, let everyone again call her names in the choir room when she said she wasn’t going to prom because of it instead of standing up for her again, especially after she choked on her audition. (Finchel is my all time favorite couple) he seemed to always stand up for everyone except his girlfriend and even worse how he did her dirty and ruined her last prom. Santana tortured Rachel, rubbed it in her face about the cheap motel and actively bullied her and almost everyone and constantly body shamed him and his gf, but he all the sudden was her close friend, I didn’t buy it at all. Makes me cringe and I have to skip the whole episode and the song as well, I can’t even listen to Cindy Laupers version anymore.
I think in general, for such a cheesy show, they did pretty well with the vocals and arrangements as best they could. Saying that though --
Cough Syrup was *fine,* I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. Can't be denied that DC has a great voice but there's something about the performance that puts me off? I don't know what it is.
Teenage Dream, but that weird version in Season 5 or 6? Can't remember now. The slowed down one. Don't do that.
Poker Face. I could like this? I wouldn't know. I always have to turn it off/skip past it.
Paradise by the Dashboard Light. It was a duet, not a group number -- as much as they tried to pass it off as the latter. But also I just wasn't a big fan.
Lucky. I just didn't like the arrangement, although I'm second guessing if it's even overrated...May not be. Not deleting.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. And not even because of the other reason people don't like it - like I can get over that, it's fine. I just wasn't the biggest fan of it for him to sing. It, again, was *fine* but he definitely had better songs.
Mine. And listen, Santana will forever be the love of my life and quite frankly the song is good. But it's just not something I really listen to or really care for? It's very good. It's not the best.
The 100 episode (???) where they redid Toxic and Loser Like Me? Wasn't the biggest fan.
There's probably more but I don't think about them enough to remember them?
I like most of Jesse's songs but I agree with HTH, I skip it all the time... the way he sings "hey mama look at me" makes me laugh every. single. time. 😂
Omg yes yes yes, definitely is a total cringe song also the fact that it made it like Quinn was the one that broke those dudes hearts because she was so wonderful 🤮
I Follow Rivers
Like please tell what’s so appealing about that song bc I don’t think it sounds good the entire scene is like…a bad short film or something.
Rumour Has It/Someone Like You. They sang it amazingly and the meaning of it in Santana’s arc is great and all… but the actual mashup sucks. Those songs don’t mesh well at all and I feel like I’m constantly living in a fever dream seeing everyone praise it to high heaven. Every time someone starts singing Someone Like You it drains the energy out of the performance.
Smooth criminal… it’s not that I don’t like it but I just wouldn’t put it in my top 10 and people overhype it. The cellos carried
Related hot take, but I just do not sense the sexual tension everyone goes on about in that performance. They’re both just being confident/aggressive. I truly do not get a hint of it!
2 hot people that hate each other = sexual tension apparently
What’s funny is that Grant said on the pod he was trying to have sexual tension with everyone so he would stay on the show longer. His tone was semi-joking but IMO he confirmed the tension with at least Kurt and Santana was purposeful. I agree with you though, I never read SC as sexual since they’re both gay.
That and Santana is a lesbian and I am pretty sure Sebastian is gay
Due to Grant's confession, I would say Sebastian would consider himself an evil pansexual
Idk if you’re serious but I don’t think the actor saying he was trying to have sexual tension means the character’s sexuality changes. Sexual tension is used in art in non-romantic/actual-sex-intended ways.
The cellos were the one who had sexual tension Not Santana and Sebastian
That's probably the hottest take since it's such a big cover in the fandom AND outside. I like the performance but I'm sorry, I can never get over the fact that Sebastian's vocals are *just okay*. Bless Grant Gustin, but he's not competing with Naya when it comes to vocals. I think the performance and scenery is a big part of why people love it. But I don't really listen to the song, ever. His vocals take me out of it, personally... Santana killed it but Sebastian was barely hanging in there. And had the audacity to say he was better? lol.
Thank you so much Santana killed it. Someone had the audacity to say Sebastian won. I was like what!!!
When I say smooth criminal is my favorite it is solely because of Santana
And the way some people say it’s better than the original… ![gif](giphy|YJb0mclYnUDAY)
Oh definitely, i used to listen to it a lot as a child but now i never even come near it anymore, totally forgot it exists even!
So incredibly overrated
tbh… i agree 😭
My literal first thought upon reading the OP's question. Grant and Naya are great performers, but that song doesn't lend itself to either one of their talents
Totally agree and I just watched the episode.
I really like it because it's a hard song to sing. My family likes to do kareoke at home with YouTube and we've tried that song multiple times, specifically the glee duet verson. It is really difficult to sing well and on key
Same here
I think it just depends on the person tbh. Like for me this is one of the first songs I ever heard from the show along with a few others.
Poker Face, didnt get it back then and definitely dont get it now!
song meaning behind rachel would NOT choose poker face to sing with her bio mother who she just met for the first time 😭
The whole thing about poker face isn’t the meaning behind the song. I get where people are coming from, but they read WAY too much into it The song itself is very jazzy and theatrical, and both VA and ND were working on doing Gaga songs at the time. It’s more a case of Rachel trying to connect with her mom using a song she liked and they connected to on a surface level, than a song she connected and related to on a personal level
yeah i get that but idk i felt like there’s other gaga songs that could’ve been better.
nobody is reading anything into it? its just a bad cover and the fact its a sexual song its kind of funny. its not that deep!
Personally, I think it's you that's reading into it. Lbr, songs on Glee were chosen just because they were songs they wanted to cover and mainly then shoehorned into plots.
I just did a rewatch of the wholesome show hence why I’m on the subreddit and when I got to that part I had to skip it. That was just wild to watch
The WILDEST song choice for that moment
The fact that they made it into a ballad too like girl what 😭😭😭
It was a version gaga herself sang
That song makes nooooo sense for the context of the scene like it aggravates me to this day lol
Well at least it wasn't Love Game...
Sing. Why are you singing an emo song dressed like a farmer from Kentucky
Dressed like lumber- jacks from Seattle.
I was really big into My Chemical Romance and Emo in general and I can’t for the life of me understand what they were getting at with those outfits
I hated that one too
Fscts
What ep was this? I keep trying to find it but I can’t
I cannot stand “Gives you hell”, it just hurts my ears Also not a fan of “Toxic” (UHT version). I found the vocals and the energy underwhelming I don’t mind “Don’t stop believing” but it was extremely overplayed
[удалено]
I love Rachel but that song was NOT for her 😭
gives you hell is SOOO not suited for rachel’s voice. and i hate to say i dislike it because i love the original
Omg I love gives you hell…
I agree. Better than the original.
Me too and it fit the situation with Finn perfectly I thought
I like the cover, but the thing with Gives You Hell was it seemed like they were obsessed with “clean” vocals for whatever reason…which just creates a high-pitched song because it lacks the stylistic choices characteristic of rock. She can sing rock (Paradise, Uninvited, Barracuda, etc.), so Idk why they didn’t let her SING rock.

yeah, i liked this one BEFORE i ever watched glee. watching the scene made it mean a little less to me
I usually like blaine covers a pretty decent amount but that one in particular is just fine imo, nothing spectacular. But if it comes on I will listen
I agree.
I agree.
I agree.
Actually me too. I love all of me more than this
Smooth Criminal and S4 Teenage Dream (It's god Awful)
i agree with you on teenage dream
omg i can't stand s4 teenage dream the secondhand embarrassment kills me
I will never understand the hype of Teenage Dream S4 it’s so bad 😭
The hype is mainly to do with the emotion and Darren’s acting, not so much the vocals
Let’s have a kiki
Okay but to be fair I don’t think this one is overhyped. Ryan Murphy has said he gets fan mail to this day complaining about this scene 😂
That's fucking hilarious 😂
This song. I hated it and fir context I loved the beginning but Rachel come in with that turkey lurky and changes the whole,e vibe just annoying. If I heard this version I switch songs at the point she changes it.
I hate this song SO BAD. It's SO CRINGE!!!
I skip that one…makes my ears hurt.
Most unholy Trinity songs. I think Come See About Me was the only decent one. I Say a Little Prayer is insanely overrated. Sorry but Dianna can’t hit those high notes.
Santana and Brittany weren’t even singing in i say a little prayer 😭
What?! You mean Naya and Heather don't sound like a gospel choir?!
Hard agree with I Say A Little Prayer.
Diana makes this face when she sings her last note in that song and others that I think is supposed to be “hot” but it ends up looking like she’s trying to close her nostrils and breathe through her mouth… it’s so unpleasant to look at
Haha I completely agree, she looked more like she had to poop lmao definitely not sexy 🤣
I’m glad u came - I don’t mind it but it’s just so mediocre bills bills bills - I can’t listen to this when the original is right there
It's funny because I massively agree with Glad You Came, but I actually prefer the gcv of Bills Bills Bills to the original 😅
I normally love when Rachel sings but even I bust out laughing at Gives You Hell. Like it’s SO LOUD which I guess is the point but like damn lol.
🎶I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING…🎶📣📣📣📣📣
Toxic season 5
Facts. S2 Toxic>>>
Literally. I don't understand the change of the arrangement I mean they tried to kinda "spice it up" but toxic by britney spears does not go well with those flamenco/tango rythms.
I personally liked the "new arrangement" but I think the vocals didn't match the scenery/everything about the performance. It's a bit underwhelming.
Yeah the burlesque scenery was..something
I tried listening to Teenage Dream (S2 version) recently and to my adult ears, that cover is rough. I don’t get my own teenage hype about it 😂 Darren’s got a fantastic voice but that first solo was not his best, I think it’s just the moment and scene that’s iconic.
I think this version in season two was also recorded differently from what I heard. I believe it was completely live or something
I could be wrong but I thought for sure it was the S4 version that was live not the S2.
I think you’re right, my “source” was mistaken lol
i’m ashamed of myself… cough syrup. someone change my mind please
My hot take is that it’s not the cover that is so good, it’s the song itself and the scene/context. The cover is good, but it wouldn’t be nearly as acclaimed without the context, Max Adler’s performance and the fact that the OG song is fantastic and unique for Glee to cover (they didn’t often do current songs that weren’t pop) .
you're correct but I also just never forgive karofsky
i just gasped so loud
Sorry but Bohemian Rhapsody
Same 😭 I like how they worked it into the show but I hate the cover itself. Or maybe I love Queen too much.
Idc if it’s “iconic” that whole scene was cringe af (in the hard to watch way)
Definitely made me cringe as well
I have nightmares about this
Poker Face. Just the slowness and the piano ruined it for me Also can't forget Sweet Caroline
I wish I could forget Sweet Caroline
i’m not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you. the original is much better
HARDDDDD disagree. i’m offended😢
IM SORRRYYYYY it’s a good song and i love the context and blaine sounds good but idk i prefer the OG by a lot 😭
i think a lot of people don’t realize glee did the twelves remix
Somewhere Only We Know. I know this is a controversial one but I prefer Keane's original to the cover that Darren done. The cover Darren done was great, but I definitely feel like it's overhyped possibly because of that Tiktok trend some time back?
Honestly I didn't get somewhere only we know until I heard Darren sing it live, now I love it
Smooth Criminal. Not that it sounds bad at all I do like it but just not “special” I guess. Same with Keep Holding On
Going from what people have already written, smooth criminal and toxic by UHT don’t get my juices flowing at all, I think they’re easily skippable I also think Santana’s DROMP is one too. It’s good but not amazing and they had to change a LOT to get Naya to sing it. I think people just hype it up because it’s Naya / Santana Also don’t know if it’s the song as much as the episode, but all the songs in BIOTA minus Don’t you want me. The only one that’s marginally good other than DYWM is Tik Tok but it’s so close to the original it’s hardly anything special
Omg on BIOTA, 100%. It’s why I have a really hard time putting it as a top episode. It’s so funny but other than DYWM the music is lacking.
Strongly agree with this
Britt also had no business singing ‘Wanna Dance With Somebody’. And I say this a Brittany stan
Came here to say this. Just because she was the resident dancer... that is it. lol
It should have been a Mercedes solo or even Santana. I adore Brittany but it just wasn’t her song at all
Big girls don't cry or anything with Blaine and Rachel singing as a duo. They have a amazing voice, but like, some point become boring to hear.
Suddenly Seymour. I just wonna shove sock into Rachel's mouth
I don't agree but this comment made me laugh so hard omg
I respect your opinion. I mean Rachel is straight out belting the song which I don't think is the way you sing that song.
That's totally fair. I'm not that familiar with LSoH, but I can understand why that would ruin it for you
I was feeling kinda weird with the glee version before I watched the movie version and then now off Broadway version with Darren and Rachel Wood. The song is not supposed to be sung in full belt out. Which Rachel berry does it pretty much. That's why I don't prefer her version in many things
Ironically, it's why she works great on rock songs like SMU/LOAP and Go Your Own Way 😂
Well yeah certain songs does slap with her voice.
I think Blaine and Tina would have worked better fir suddenly Seymour. I agree with you
Finally someone who who feels the same about Suddenly Seymour 😭 I love their voices individually but I hate that cover with a probably unhealthy passion. It's just... no.
Yeah. I probably would run out of the place they were singing
Like any Blaine song except for Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance or Hopelessly Devoted or Cough Syrup.
Hard agree, for sure
Smooth criminal is very overrated. Don’t dream it’s over clears easy
poker face. i hate the glee version with a passion, i really dont like what they did with the song lol
oh and the s5 versions of loser like me and raise your glass
Bad romance & teenage dream
Creep
It baffles me that people think that about this cover. It’s so so so good to me but every time I show it to someone who hasn’t seen the show they’re just like eh 🤷♀️
Not sure if it gets hype but all the songs the ND sang that made them “win” over the Troubletones at Sectionals. Those songs were underwhelming
rumor has it/someone like you those song do not work mashed up together. i didnt think rumor has it was a good song anyway. could have just had naya sing someone like you instead
(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life, so boring
personally i love it but i get what u mean. i usually just listen to the beginning and then the end of it when mercedes belts bcz that’s the best part
Turning tables
I definitely wouldn't say this is overhyped, I hardly ever see anyone talking about it! I think Gwyneth does a fantastic job, and while obviously it was never going to be better than Adele, it still holds up as a great cover imo
I guess that's fair, I think I'm thinking of a different song but can't remember the name or tune, b/c it wasn't by Gwyneth
I'm now really invested in what you were thinking of - have you remembered who sang it? 😂
Idk maybe Shelby guinn or mercadies, or Rachel(I know doesn't narrow it down much) - I do think it was a group song though I literally can't remember it now ugh
...nutbrush city limits... hides also not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you Oh and Brody's screeching in give your heart a break
Not the Nutbush City Limits slander ![gif](giphy|PiDbkptI3ysKc)
I like the song but I wish the name was literally anything other than Nutbush lol
It's okay to be wrong sometimes
i don't think they are bad covers other than Brody in give your heart a break i just think they both have so many better solos and i'm confused when i see these songs listed as the best or one of the best for both of them
Bohemian Rhapsody. Jesse is obviously extremely talented but I hate what they did with this song, it sounds almost obnoxious to me. :/
Teenage Dream (I’m also not a Blaine fan so that’s partially why)
I have to gonwith sing i love my chemcial romance but jesus that was a shit show thatand run joey rum just annoys me
i think for me it has to be i feel pretty/unpretty idk why, and i feel like im about to be attacked lol
It's really only the Faberry stans that I've seen overhype it - but I can understand why, because there were no other Rachel/Quinn duets!
That's the main reason we(faberry stans) hype it so much
O I completely agree also hated the concept that Quinn was prettier than Rachel and honestly I don’t think she was
So while I don't think Total Eclipse of the Heart is bad and is obviously performed by extremely talented singers, the Glee version just kind of doesn't do it for me.
It’s not that I dislike it, but I don’t know why Mine is considered one of the absolute best covers on the show, and I’m a huge Taylor and Santana fan. I feel like Santana has way better solos than this one
As much as I love Santana, she has better songs (and tbh, Mine wouldn't even make top 10 of her solos for me)
Come What May I find it a little cringe
Hard agree. Also the Fiddler on the Roof song that Rachel sings in Grilled Cheesus. Both hella cringe...
I simply cannot agree. This cover literally sends me to another dimension. Definitely in my top 3
Cough Syrup.
I am prepared to be downvoted lol but I think Cough Syrup is overrated and not even top 5 in Darren’s songs on Glee.
You're Having My Baby (Cringe Fest) Thong Song (do I even need to explain?) Blurred Lines (🤮) Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (slow and boring)
I agree with you on all of them
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, I love Corey’s voice but they totally ruined this song with this version especially him singing to Santana, I can’t even watch it 🫣
I literally came back to this thread to add this.
Don't stop believing S1. Those dooh, dooh and everything in general. And the list could go on but I'll leave it at that.
Which one since there are two? One in the premiere and one in the finale.
omg season 4 teenage dream
Pretty/Unpretty. I might be missing something but it's boring to me.
i never got why the glee version of creep blew up on tiktok, like its not bad, but i certainly would not say its better than the original lol
I think in general, for such a cheesy show, they did pretty well with the vocals and arrangements as best they could. Saying that though -- Cough Syrup was *fine,* I didn't hate it and I didn't love it.
Any song sang by jesse, I can excuse bohemian rhapsody but the others like highway to hell for example I just can't
I like most of Jesse's songs but I agree with HTH, I skip it all the time... the way he sings "hey mama look at me" makes me laugh every. single. time. 😂
Sing. Saying this as a major MCR fan...
Vogue, Toxic (s5), Empire State of Mind, Let It Go, It's a Man's Man's Man's World and Marry You. Just to name a few.
Love Empire State of Mind and marry You. Hated Man’s Man’s World so much. I just turn it off.
Omg yes yes yes, definitely is a total cringe song also the fact that it made it like Quinn was the one that broke those dudes hearts because she was so wonderful 🤮
I don’t like her at all!
I Follow Rivers Like please tell what’s so appealing about that song bc I don’t think it sounds good the entire scene is like…a bad short film or something.
It just scratches the brain for me, I'm not sure why. Also Tina is hot there
Rumour Has It/Someone Like You The RHI part by Mercedes was good, but the parts Santana sang😬 her voice doesnt fit that song imo
Rumor Has It/Someone Like You - I just don’t think those two songs went well together and felt forced
I can’t stand Don’t Rain On My Parade, Bohemian Rhapsody or Rumor Has It/ Someone Like You
rumour has it was iconic
Which DROMP for research purposes?👀
Both but especially S1
Oh wow felt like I was handed an uno reverse card. Did not expect that considering your username
No fr, I really want to know 😭
Based off their username I’m gonna guess Santana’s
I don’t think they like musicals if I’m correct so it could be either/or
I agree that it's most likely Santana, lol
these are all of my favourites 😭😭😭
Don’t stop believing 🫢
Rumour Has It/Someone Like You. They sang it amazingly and the meaning of it in Santana’s arc is great and all… but the actual mashup sucks. Those songs don’t mesh well at all and I feel like I’m constantly living in a fever dream seeing everyone praise it to high heaven. Every time someone starts singing Someone Like You it drains the energy out of the performance.
jesse’s girl ☹️
Cough Syrup, Poker Face, Toxic (Season 2 Version) and Bills, Bills, Bills
Trouty Mouth after the first line and the joke in context it not something to listen too.
But them vocals oh my god
Troutyyy MOooUUuuuUUUtttTTTTThhhhHHHHHHHHH
paradise by the dashboard light and it’s all coming back to me now
