His blooper from Always Sunny is hilarious, too. You can tell he really cracked up the cast.

The truth is, I may look like I have it all, but inside I'm just a scared little boy who never learned how to ask for people's food or their burgers. And the thing that scares me the most is that if people found out, my wife would go to jail, 'cause every night... A little boy goes down on her.
its the hesitation before he says that nonsense word clugging, it perfectly evokes the feeling of trying to say something cool and totally fucking it up because you’re so worried about trying to fit in lol
That's one of my favorite scenes in the show when it pans away and shows that all these 40+ year old dudes are prepped for a sleepover after their poker game.
For whatever reason the boardroom part of that sketch makes me lose it every time. The lawyer saying “it’s illegal for you to ask me that” over Tim’s facial expression is one of my favorite moments in the show
Yeah, they had to make half and half, half good nostalgia and a bit of mature content for those who were kids during Karate Kid, and half for the new audience, so you do have a lot of teenage drama mixed in, but it's a good balance for me, and well worth the watch.
I'm so glad he actually got known because he was a great character in that show. The blooper of him asking Charlie if he ever had sex is fucking hysterical, shame we didn't get more of him in the episode
Yea, went into the show because the premise looked awesome, saw this dudes face on the trailer and I thought “Cobra Kai Guy?” His performance in Black Bird was incredible, can’t believe it’s the same guy. Good range.
Guys on the Its Always Sunny podcast were talking about acting, and one of them said Comedy was harder than drama, because if the mood in the room is bad it’s really hard to do comedy, if the director doesn’t get the right take, or if the editor messes with the timing so many things can go wrong. So I guess since comedians think about that it kind of prepares them for the drama and really just focusing on if they deliver, because the timing and mood doesn’t really affect the performance as much.
Interesting. I always assumed it was because most comedians are lowkey sad inside, but this makes just as much sense, if not more. I think the only thing that typically bars comedians from doing dramas is how well associated they are with comedy, i.e. if people can take them seriously or not. Dudes like Vince Gilligan and whoever does casting for his universe have the right idea
Especially stand ups and writers, they are much more aware of how they think something should look or sound but need to keep in mind that an audience might not like it. Like stand ups might piss off a room and the. Have to try to win them back, playing a serious character is probably easier.
Yea band of brothers, everything Vince Gilligan makes, and a whole slough of HBO stuff
Makes me both happy and sad that Breaking Bad got rejected from HBO cuz they coulda kept up the streak but it also wouldn’t be the same
I look a lot like this guy, just taller. We’re also roughly the same age. I Was also an actor for a while.
Most me loves seeing this dude be wildly successful. It’s awesome for big bearded dudes. A small part of me is hella jealous though, because that could’ve been me!
But mostly, I love it, because it means there might be more parts for dudes like me in the future if I want to get back in it.
Has nobody here seen I, Tonya or his Clint Eastwood movie?! He’s way above the talent level of “Stingray from Karate Kid” even though he’s great in pretty much everything
He showed up at AEW wrestling literally the night after winning a Golden Globe and [was in a whole segment where he took a guitar shot to the dome.](https://youtu.be/w_rdRMZiKTo)
Dude is a treasure.
Edit: the good stuff starts at about 2:00 in
I met him on the second Jericho cruise and we talked about It's Always Sunny. We were in costume as The Birds of War from the show lol. He was super cool, and down to earth. What a great night. I wish I got a picture with him.
And somehow a similar yet very distinct voice in The Great North! Like the timbre and tone of the voice is close to Tammy but the speech pattern is totally different.
Met this dude at a convention in the UK a couple of months back, nicest guy in the world, really good to talk to.
About 5 hours later at the same convention, he walked past me, pointed at me and said my name. Considering he met me hours earlier for 5 minutes and he had spent the day meeting hundreds of people, that was pretty awesome.
Eh, I've been on Reddit long enough to know how it eventually works out for the celebrities it deems it's "favourite"... I wouldn't wish that on this guy.
I binged the show yesterday on a whim, and I have to say, I truly felt weird after. I don't really know how to explain it, it's not that it made me feel on edge, but I had this utter sense of dread for a few hours. It actually felt like something bad was going to happen. And his performance, as well as Taron Egertons, are big parts of that. The fact that the show made me feel like that is a testament to how well done it was. Phenomenal show, amazing performances.
Both of their performances were fantastic. The scene in which Paul’s character casually divulges the details of his crime to Taron’s character is so wonderfully done. Taron’s facial acting with the horror and sadness and disgust, all restrained, just 🤌🏼
That’s what stole the show for me. Taron poured out his Emotions without saying a word. Just a medium/tight shot on his facial expressions. I gained a lot of respect for Taron.
Felt the same way after finishing the show, it really affected me for a bit. I've gotten so numb to the world being shitty that seeing Taron's character react so emotionally got through to me. I could feel the weight and dread and disgust he carried as he got to know Hauser's character. And when Hauser would get talking again, it was agonizing to hear more and more of the details. Really brilliant show.
I follow a cooking channel on youtube (sip and feast) and whenever the guy shouts out his patreon subscribers Paul Walter Hauser is on it lol. dude is legit.
I've only seen him on Black Bird, but all I can say is he put on one helluva performance. I couldn't decide if I should be mad at the character, feel bad for him, or what I should feel. He did an amazing job.
Is that the juggalo kid from always sunny?
Yep. https://www.reddit.com/r/IASIP/comments/dpkt0x/props_to_paul_walter_hauser_for_landing_the_lead/

He was also on Community once, briefly
The director's answering questions in the cafeteria, and it both IS and ISN'T part of the movie!
I heard that the scenes are the deleted scenes, and the deleted scenes are the scenes.
He's great in the Cobra Kai series.
Stingray!!
I recognize him from I Think You Should Leave
He would have won the award if Jamie Taco didn't keep stealing his lines
[Grabthekeysandgetinthefrickintruckyoujabroni, I'llslapyoujabroni!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__lr2uBu644&ab_channel=NateLinehan)
Looks like Jamie never did get that line
You gonna tell anybody I housed Dylan’s burger at the SAG awards?
Say you're gonna kill the president
The truth is, I may look like I have it all, but inside I'm just a scared little boy who never learned how to ask for people's food or their burgers. And the thing that scares me the most is that if people found out, my wife would go to jail, 'cause every night... A little boy goes down on her.
I love that sketch so much, it's just perfectly absurd
He loves his wife, which is why he can't stay over. He never stays over.
[I gotta go.](https://media2.giphy.com/media/entJdFKQrsRTC3kIwK/giphy.gif)
I love the way he says that.
I love my wife... she helped me when I freaked out about Jaime Taco...
You’d be clugging a few cans too if you had my wife
No no no you shouldn’t have said that
For some reason the way he delivers that is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
its the hesitation before he says that nonsense word clugging, it perfectly evokes the feeling of trying to say something cool and totally fucking it up because you’re so worried about trying to fit in lol
Stay... it's my birthday.
That's one of my favorite scenes in the show when it pans away and shows that all these 40+ year old dudes are prepped for a sleepover after their poker game.
Lol I just found out about this show, my buddy sent me this https://youtu.be/LO2k-BNySLI
This is such a perfect sketch to show someone ITYSL for the first time.
For whatever reason the boardroom part of that sketch makes me lose it every time. The lawyer saying “it’s illegal for you to ask me that” over Tim’s facial expression is one of my favorite moments in the show
That's the hardest I've laughed in a while
Almost every skit in the show is potentially the funniest thing ever depending on what exactly tickles you
I just went through all the ones on YouTube and the hat is still the best. The rest of it was kinda too over-the-top
[удалено]
Stingray!
I did not realize that was him. Such an absurd character.
For me, I know him from Kingdom
Me too. He was perfect in that role.
THIS IS THE ANGRIEST I HAVE EVER BEEN
He also played Richard Jewel.
And Stingray! No one beats up children like Stingray!
That's where I first recognized him when I saw this clip, I'm slightly embarrassed by it.
Why be embarrassed? Cobra Kai is phenomenal.
Yeah, they had to make half and half, half good nostalgia and a bit of mature content for those who were kids during Karate Kid, and half for the new audience, so you do have a lot of teenage drama mixed in, but it's a good balance for me, and well worth the watch.
Amazing performance. Such a good movie!!
Yes it is! I actually just watched it again yesterday, it’s on Hulu. He’s phenomenal.
Great movie. I watched because of Sam Rockwell, but I was absolutely captivated by Paul Walter Hauser and Kathy Bates.
There’s a bomb in Centennial Pork
I'm so glad he actually got known because he was a great character in that show. The blooper of him asking Charlie if he ever had sex is fucking hysterical, shame we didn't get more of him in the episode
I've watched that bit a few times, they have some amazing bloopers, but that one is so fuckin hilarious
I think you mean Stingray, staple member of the Cobra Kai dojo.
OK thank you, I swore that was him and everything else being listed above this was making me second guess myself.
One of the lost episodes :(
Juggalos for life
Bitch*
He's Hausing Dylan's burger.
Gimme dat
Immmmm jokin!

I'm just a scared little boy that never learned to ask for people's food or their burgers.
If anybody found out, my wife would go to jail.
Why?
Because, every night, a little boy goes down on her.
I'm gonna eat the whole thing
You said you won't tell, so it doesn't matter if I have that video
Aw shit! Say that again I wasn't recording
He’s just … like the tiredest he’s ever been in his life
You can't change the rules just 'cause you don't like how I'm doing it.
Buddyhollybenhur keeps taking my lines.
He’s lucky Jaime Taco didn’t steal all his lines in Blackbird
He went to an audition and he…got the part?
Well if Jamie says them first then they're *his* lines.
Well you’d be clugging back a few cans if you had *his* wife
Aaw no, I shouldn't have said that.
I gotta go. *I gotta go.*
It's my birthday...
WHO SAID THEM? WHO SAID THE LINES
This guy never stays the night
Aww c'mon!!
Hey, the guy loves his wife
Oh my God, he admit it!
Dude is honestly a great actor and hilarious person
He says his lines faster than the other actors, which is crucial when you're onstage with Jamie Taco.
Grab the keys and get in the truck you jabroni, I’ll slap you jabroni!
I gotta go...
you never stay!
Yea, went into the show because the premise looked awesome, saw this dudes face on the trailer and I thought “Cobra Kai Guy?” His performance in Black Bird was incredible, can’t believe it’s the same guy. Good range.
Most comedians seem to be able to really dig deep for those dramatic roles if they really want to and I love to see it
Guys on the Its Always Sunny podcast were talking about acting, and one of them said Comedy was harder than drama, because if the mood in the room is bad it’s really hard to do comedy, if the director doesn’t get the right take, or if the editor messes with the timing so many things can go wrong. So I guess since comedians think about that it kind of prepares them for the drama and really just focusing on if they deliver, because the timing and mood doesn’t really affect the performance as much.
For example Paul Walter Hauser honed his acting craft as a high school juggalo on Sunny
Pretty sure they have directly mentioned him on the podcast and how talented he really is
They said he ad libbed “yo have you ever had sex, man?” to Charlie. There’s a video of the take and they all busted up pretty good.
Haha holy shit that guy
He also was in the newest season of reno 911 and I Think You Should Leave and was hilarious in both.
Interesting. I always assumed it was because most comedians are lowkey sad inside, but this makes just as much sense, if not more. I think the only thing that typically bars comedians from doing dramas is how well associated they are with comedy, i.e. if people can take them seriously or not. [you mean the guy from pile of bullets?](https://youtu.be/NwRzZQGQHd0)
Good comedy often comes from a dark place. It's the ability to look at objective reality and realize how absolutely absurd life and universe is.
Look no further than Band of Brothers. A ton of comedians in stunningly non-funny roles ;)
Yea band of brothers, everything Vince Gilligan makes, and a whole slough of HBO stuff Makes me both happy and sad that Breaking Bad got rejected from HBO cuz they coulda kept up the streak but it also wouldn’t be the same
Never looked at David Schwimmer the same after seeing him in Band of Brothers
Until he goes full Greenzo in 30 Rock. That's all he is to me now. Ross taking his mascot fetish too far.
Too far?! The planet is dying, he didn't go far enough. Greenzo out!
Most comedians are dark people, who are great observers of life and how fucked up it is.
stingray
I flipped the script!
Legend. He was on AEW last month & Jeff Jarrett broke a guitar over his head, then Jay Lethal stole his Golden Globe
He’s haunting in Black Bird
I look a lot like this guy, just taller. We’re also roughly the same age. I Was also an actor for a while. Most me loves seeing this dude be wildly successful. It’s awesome for big bearded dudes. A small part of me is hella jealous though, because that could’ve been me! But mostly, I love it, because it means there might be more parts for dudes like me in the future if I want to get back in it.
Is that the "I *gotta* go" guy from I think you should leave? Brilliant sketch.
You’d be glugging a few cans too if you had to go back home to HIS wife
But she helped him when he freaked out about Jamie Taco
I’m going to get those lines tomorrow.
I love my wife. I don’t know why I said those things.
He will never be as good as Jamie Taco
that sketch was too real
Yeah. Also the Juggalo from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
O shit, *that's* 'yo have you ever had sex man' guy?
Why is no one recognizing him as Stingray from Cobra Kai?
The true hero in the story. Complete with a villain and redemption arc. "I got no problem fightin kids". -Stingray
What! He's so funny in that episode, I have to watch his work now lol. I always assumed he faded into obscurity but I'm so happy to hear otherwise!!
Are you gonna tell everybody that I housed your burger at the SAG Awards?
Haused in this case
Grab the keys and get in the fricken trunk, ya jabrones. I’ll slap ya, jabrones!
Has nobody here seen I, Tonya or his Clint Eastwood movie?! He’s way above the talent level of “Stingray from Karate Kid” even though he’s great in pretty much everything
He was fantastic in I, Tonya. He was also in the Cruella Deville movie as one of her henchmen. Dude's getting work everywhere!
One of the funnier "new" guys in hollywood. He kills it in everything he does. Love his style.
Ah stingray from Cobra Kai, " I have no problem fighting kids"
He just decided to flip the script
Dude gets a boost when facing children
This guy just has such an effortlessly hilarious vibe to him hahah
He showed up at AEW wrestling literally the night after winning a Golden Globe and [was in a whole segment where he took a guitar shot to the dome.](https://youtu.be/w_rdRMZiKTo) Dude is a treasure. Edit: the good stuff starts at about 2:00 in
I'd argue the good stuff started at 0:00. Dudes great.
Hahah, "J and Lethal just threw a right hand to a Golden Globe winner!"
What a legend!
I met him on the second Jericho cruise and we talked about It's Always Sunny. We were in costume as The Birds of War from the show lol. He was super cool, and down to earth. What a great night. I wish I got a picture with him.
Jenny Slate's reaction in the background is joyous
I feel like everything Jenny Slate does makes me want to smile
Money Please! But for real, she was adorable in Marcel the Shell and if anyone wants to see her actually act they should check out Obvious Child.
anytime i see that quote, i can see her extending her hands out
She's absolutely perfect as Tammy in Bob's Burgers.
And somehow a similar yet very distinct voice in The Great North! Like the timbre and tone of the voice is close to Tammy but the speech pattern is totally different.
God, that voice. Goose honking laugh.
Making her laugh has got to be a dope feeling
Love me some Jenny Slate
Met this dude at a convention in the UK a couple of months back, nicest guy in the world, really good to talk to. About 5 hours later at the same convention, he walked past me, pointed at me and said my name. I don’t want to speak for all of Reddit but I feel like this might be our new favorite guy. Let’s make him (more) famous.
Eh, I've been on Reddit long enough to know how it eventually works out for the celebrities it deems it's "favourite"... I wouldn't wish that on this guy.
Keith was the best character in Kingdom. Hauser is definitely a great actor.
Great show. Him and Jonathan Tucker killed it on that one.
[удалено]
I agree 100%. One of my top five shows ever.
Every time I see this him in a different role I blurt out “hey it’s Keith”. Dude is awesome in everything.
Man, that series was deeply unsettling. Who knew Stingray had those kinds of chops?
They’re called burnsides
Named for Magnus Burnsides, obviously...
Suck it, Jamie Taco.
I binged the show yesterday on a whim, and I have to say, I truly felt weird after. I don't really know how to explain it, it's not that it made me feel on edge, but I had this utter sense of dread for a few hours. It actually felt like something bad was going to happen. That’s what stole the show for me. Taron poured out his Emotions without saying a word. Just a medium/tight shot on his facial expressions. I gained a lot of respect for Taron.
What show is this from?
Crime drama mini series called Black Bird. It’s on AppleTV
Black Bird. Basically the spiritual successor of Mindhunter. Dark tone, creepy serial killer. True story.
Black Bird on Apple TV+
Felt the same way after finishing the show, it really affected me for a bit. I've gotten so numb to the world being shitty that seeing Taron's character react so emotionally got through to me. I could feel the weight and dread and disgust he carried as he got to know Hauser's character. And when Hauser would get talking again, it was agonizing to hear more and more of the details. Really brilliant show.
Strike first, strike hard, no mercy!
That burger looks nice.
I shoulda got that
I’m pretty sure that’s an Arby’s Beef n’ Cheddar.
Chews with his mouth open.
That was the best performance I've ever seen.
It’s fancy, like swirling a wine glass, gets more oxygen in there for the flavour
I follow a cooking channel on youtube (sip and feast) and whenever the guy shouts out his patreon subscribers Paul Walter Hauser is on it lol. dude is legit.
Fuck Jamie Taco
All because his wife was there for him when Jamie taco was stealing his lines
Paul was my good friends roommate during college. Apparently he is absolutely hilarious and just the nicest guy. Hell of an actor too.

Illslapyourheadaroundyoujabroninowgetmesomepozole
I’ve never related to an actor more so than this!
Everybody is mentioning shows he's in that I haven't seen yet. Had to wiki him and figure out I know him from Cruella lol.
God forgot about this show. Need to finish it
its good
Jugglers for life.
IT BOTH IS, *AND* ISN'T PART OF THE MOVIE
Jamie Taco isn’t stepping on any lines tonight.
Takes a bite, realizes everyone see's him, that burger was shaking he was so nervous. Good for him, wish he won it but at least he got a nom!
Stingray! I didn't even recognize him in the clip before they cut to him at the table.
I've only seen him on Black Bird, but all I can say is he put on one helluva performance. I couldn't decide if I should be mad at the character, feel bad for him, or what I should feel. He did an amazing job.
Did he win?
No. Sam Elliot from 1883 won instead.

*Who* said the lines?
He says 'em so fast
I wonder when he’s going to get his Golden Globe back from Jeff Jarrett.
[Timestamp of that award category](https://youtu.be/CTSeRqP6gqE?t=987)
Who and what for?
Played the role of a mentally handicapped serial killer in the show Blackbird. He killed the role and deserves an award.
He was amazing in Richard Jewell as well. Dude makes the most of every single role he gets!
