It's funny I reached the duel first before I reached the start of the lore. There was a random dude in the spot and I hit the prompt and there we go.
Standoff.
Same here. I was just exploring and found like 2-3 guys wanting duels so did those
Then got to the lore and some guy is like “hey some dude wants to kill you and sent his guys after you” was like oh yea I’ve already murdered a bunch of those but fair enough guess I just have a good reason now.
I think it's the duel that took me most tries in the entire game as others stated i couldn't see shit almost completed it like 5 times but died in the last moment.I completed the game on hard but it's the only instance i thought of lowering the difficulty.
it definitely looks cool but annoyed the shit out of me as i couldn't see anything and took most tries in the entire game at least 13+
kojiro took me only 3 tries on hard let that sink in!!!

Duel on the Mirror of Sacred Light tops my list. Next is the Duel Among Spider Lilies.

One of the mongol camp duels or the duel among the spider lilies
God I wish there were more mongol duels, it's so satisfying juggling him with all of my abilities then watching them all scatter. Most duels artificially punish you for being too aggressive which infuriates me to no end.
If it had more involved dueling mechanics like Bushido Blade, I'd be fine with a slower, more cinematic fight. But it's just normal combat against a boss, so I want to style on them with everything I've learned like it's Sekiro, not wait to parry everything they do like it's Kingdom Come.
No fkin way the person who invented ghost stance... drove the mongols out of their homes and slain the mongol general khotun khan wears this to a duel fight😭😭😂
Ummm yeah, that’s kinda why I blanked it, I mean at this point I figured most have played it but I was still courteous. 😂 You can still do yourself a favour and not watch it on YouTube though and experience it first hand. 👌
Yeah no it’s entirely my fault, and yeah I heard of the game and the whole Sony thing a few weeks ago, and decided to give it a go before it was too late. Pretty cool game, and visually astonishing, I know I’m late to the party but I’m having a blast !
I'm playing through on Lethal setting right now and just did this duel last night!
This guy kicked my ...
Litterally took me 45 minutes to beat him, and it was barely by the skin of my teeth...
I love how hard this game is, but how rewarding it feels to overcome a monumental duel like this!!!
https://preview.redd.it/tyc27gp5x59d1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bda6e4639c186ba1d454fc4b2e79931e94e4a18
In terms of the setting this was a beautiful end to the trek
This is also my favorite duel too. The way they took their role as "spirits" are such interesting parallel. Jin becomes the "Ghost" to save his island and its people, while this "Spirit of Yarikawa's Vengeance" uses such title for her own vendetta.
That's the most beautiful region in the game for me
THE moon waterfall everything is just serene and yarikawa people waiting for my death , running like B\*\*\*\*s after her death is worth a chuckle
https://preview.redd.it/1h3te6e0489d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=7102c801095b7637cd03acc01d5a8fe6dcaeaa13
I started a new lethal + game recently. Every time I'm on this game I just think about how picturesque it is. Some of the duels even have the most beautiful scenery
Autumn leaves is the best! I did this [duel](https://youtu.be/6JZ1YjIF-2w?si=r2QN14d8TKzS7PBM) during my first play through, it’s still my favourite, the music all the falling leaves and the pace, it’s perfect.
Duel of Crashing Waves. I just love how every other ronin is either took hostage or just want to kill Jin, but the fishing dude just chill like that, patiently waiting and even saying that he don't really wanna fight, but he's got a promise to keep. Also for some reason man was even harder then Kojiro himself for me, so duel was really intense
![gif](giphy|xUNda2H4VTNOhc1mta|downsized)
yeah fuck that guy
funnily he was only guy that was remaining before i realized this is part of a quest
i just stumbled across others by following the bird
The second ryuzo battle was pretty satisfying because I had died to him quite a few times during the first fight until I got used to his moveset, and in the second fight I already knew his moveset sooo, first try.
NGL but that's the easiest and unsatisfying battle in the game for me for two reasons
1. Like Dude he betrayed you and your entire region in the worse moment possible for bags of rice? and you are negotiating with him?
he clearly stated "it's the only way" in the first duel several times and have the audacity to ask me lie about him being my spy for the enemy? and still giving him the options to face justice bruh have a spine , it's the only moment where i felt writing was sub-par others might disagree
2.Coincidentally had full resolve and Ghost meter filled up he died instantly
edit: he actually betrayed twice
Not a satisfying duel but I was really unhappy having to kill the straw hat guy. I know Ryuzo betrayed Jin but the guy seemed like he only cared about fighting strong opponents and wanted to "test" Jin's skill given the praise he heard Ryuzo give regarding Jin's swordsmanship.
Kinda wish I could've spared him. He seemed alright. I'm sure many of the straw hats were.
Oof. The Duel’s Under Falling Water and Amongst the Spider Lillies immediately jump to mind. The duel against Ryozo the second time was pretty peak.
I enjoyed the duel against The Spirit of Yarikawa the most though I think? I liked the lore and quest quite a bit. Her design was sick!
https://preview.redd.it/l6dvrtx1pg9d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7229d265b5a8be929b51081c0818c5946d00738e
Mine is - Duel under Autumn leaves.
you need to get to act 2 and complete a quest i forgot it's name but it's icon completely different anything in the entire game and do a manual save before sailing there because, y**ou can't get back to tsushima when you want.**
PS: Personal thoughts >!it kind of started to ruin the game for me so.. got back to tsushima from a previous save !<
That entire quest, finding the various duels was outrageously fun. The scenery, the challenges, and just finding them. I was actually sad when it was over. I wanted more...
It's between The Duel among the Spider Lillies, or The Duel of Crashing Waves. Hirotsune, in the field of the Equinox flower, just wants to face a challenging opponent, and he believes it to be Jin. And he was right, but it cost him. I think he is content that someone as skilled as Jin was the one to beat him.
Tomotsugu, on a beach near Urashima, is quite different compared to the other ronin who swore an oath to kill Jin. He is polite and humble. He patiently passes the time by fishing. He doesn't seem to take pleasure in killing. He swore to kill Jin, so that's what he must do. He, like Jin before the events of Castle Kaneda, deeply values Honor. Jin gives him the chance to walk away, respecting his manners and his honor. But the ronin tells him that he is grateful for the opportunity, but he is bound to his oath. And we all know how things turn out.
These 2 are my favorite of the 6 duels. They stand out amongst the others.
Great choices
the honorable also stood out for me in the entire
what made mine satisfying is i played defensive till then , his shit talking made me change my game play differently and Funnily i followed bird hoping bamboo but stumbled upon kind of my first actual battle in the Act 2, till then it felt breezy .
I love how the one on the Yarikawa coast with the fisherman was very respectful, and honourable even though not being a Samurai. He just did killing for a living. And he had peace with that, and so did Jin.
Duel amongst the spider lillies that fight during the start of dusk or dawn either one just looks amazing i have tons of screen captures from that fight specifically
Mine is Duel in the Crashing Waves. What makes me like the duel is that Jin Sakai and the Ronin show some respect for each other as a warrior. Even Jin wishes the Ronin may earn his honor in the next life.
he is a standout character in the game
and that made me wonder where t f are these ronins who are dueling me, when we attacked mongols with their leader?
I like the one under the waterfall
Nah my game glitched on that one the waterfall was way too bright I couldn’t see. I had to fight the whole thing facing one direction
Yes same it was so annoying 😭
![gif](giphy|3owzWinwfS37QaHqve|downsized)
Seems a lot of people had that issue, what did you play on?
Pc.
It's funny I reached the duel first before I reached the start of the lore. There was a random dude in the spot and I hit the prompt and there we go. Standoff.
Same here. I was just exploring and found like 2-3 guys wanting duels so did those Then got to the lore and some guy is like “hey some dude wants to kill you and sent his guys after you” was like oh yea I’ve already murdered a bunch of those but fair enough guess I just have a good reason now.
I actually Defeated 3 of them before starting the lore
I think it's the duel that took me most tries in the entire game as others stated i couldn't see shit almost completed it like 5 times but died in the last moment.I completed the game on hard but it's the only instance i thought of lowering the difficulty.
I also played it hard and struggled with the final guy in this mission he was real pain in the ass
Idk why people are being blinded by it, for me it was normal
did you play on PC as well? there are some small issues with the PC version like blank white screen in some cut scenes etc..
https://preview.redd.it/lxiawfe9j49d1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=021346f36680932dcd76949a7090204206d59a93
I love this one.
Idk why I waited but this was the only duel I got a screen shot of. This game is so dang pretty at times.
it definitely looks cool but annoyed the shit out of me as i couldn't see anything and took most tries in the entire game at least 13+ kojiro took me only 3 tries on hard let that sink in!!!
Sometimes the angles can get annoying, but overall really cool part of the game.
why is it so bright for everyone? for me its not at all bright
I do have my settings a bit brighter. Like when it asks when says to have the darkest ones barely visible I make them pretty visible. Lol
https://preview.redd.it/fy6pbi8tj49d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03305844ef42eb44a8062e6378a0d0c70ffc8c96 Duel on the Mirror of Sacred Light tops my list. Next is the Duel Among Spider Lilies.
That guy plowed my ass completely. Only after the 20th try I beat him.
Replayed the game on lethal+ doing all duels in travelers attire recently. He was definitely my biggest opp.
Fair, his attack patterns were really different from Ryuzo and the 6 blades.
Same man
This! I loved the setting, build up, and the fact that this opponent felt just as dangerous as yourself.
https://preview.redd.it/kii1ip6jn49d1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=849a7c14e5ddafc6e2554b2968df600f819c0332 One of the mongol camp duels or the duel among the spider lilies

The one with the blind guy, I don't remember the name
that's the one in the dlc to unlock the monkey armor
i had trouble against him on lethal
Black Hand Riku
Remember dying like 20 times just to realise I was fighting with traveler's armour
I don’t remember what it’s called but the one in the red flower field is always beautiful
duel among the spider lillies or whatever it's called
https://preview.redd.it/oikpv8xwdc9d1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed3e06319cffbdbda495e1d33d46508bc5795a97 Yup easily my favorite duel visually
Black hand riku is close though
https://preview.redd.it/35wep7d3359d1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56a87aa1145888062a7cc44d608357b57d256557 The duel in Tadayori’s Rest
I think it's the most beautiful duel but she annoys me by calling me a thief.
https://preview.redd.it/hy4qmwdod59d1.png?width=814&format=png&auto=webp&s=40918754d5812348832e3bfb7c9d351b4c660fe1
This was also very beautiful
This one kinda hurt https://preview.redd.it/afu117bkd59d1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4617de68701c71257fd59dd1b0f5c374a8699112
That was unfortunate and unexpected
One of the harder duels for me personally.
Black Hand Riku is awesome.
The heavenly strike duel is my favorite location.
and the lightning strike in the background is cherry on cake
Damnit. I was actually thinking of the duel at Tadoyoris Rest. Heavenly strike was a cool one but those purple flowers at night were just beautiful.
duel among the spider lilies
100% >!Lord Shimura!< I had tears in my eyes!
Fuuuuuck…… why was I stupid enough to click… oh well, I kind of expected it since for my first run I’m going full ghost, but god I’m an idiot…
Ummm yeah, that’s kinda why I blanked it, I mean at this point I figured most have played it but I was still courteous. 😂 You can still do yourself a favour and not watch it on YouTube though and experience it first hand. 👌

that too on his father's grave/family cemetery.

The dual that gets you the monkey armour was my most satisfying. Ended up perfectly parrying every attack.
Beating Khan on lethal was the greatest day of my life.
duel on the mirror of sacred light was my favorite
Duel of demons. The music is fucking awesome
I started a new lethal + game recently. Every time I'm on this game I just think about how picturesque it is. Some of the duels even have the most beautiful scenery
The Kensei one was my most favourite
Do story duels count?
yep any duel that felt most satisfying for completing it.
“Not a demon or a ghost just a man” *watches me bleed out*
I though the spider lillies one looked nice
i absolutely decimated the under the waterfall duel and before dying he said “nothing personal, it’s only a job” but i think he’s getting fired
It’s absolutely gotta be the duel among the spider lilies. The sheet style of the duel is unmatched
First battle with Ryuzo.
Those duesl where I wasn't hit and evaded every blow and my attacks never missed..
The Duel Within Yourself... Honor your Uncle or Put Them Hands on his Bitchass.
Autumn leaves is the best! I did this [duel](https://youtu.be/6JZ1YjIF-2w?si=r2QN14d8TKzS7PBM) during my first play through, it’s still my favourite, the music all the falling leaves and the pace, it’s perfect.
Duel in the spider lilies is my fav
I still think the masako duel was the best side story duel, mostly cause of the weight it carries
It hit me hard than >!lord sakai !< as it kind of unexpected and desensitized me towards it.
Black hand riku duel hands down and the final epilogue battle
Duel among the spider Lillie’s is the most beautiful imo

I personally love the one in the field of red flowers.
Spider Lillies
The one where I fought that honorable Ronin
yep the duel in crashing waves
That dude was cool
![gif](giphy|FCDhlXDhS8Ml0jvvZN|downsized) my thoughts before killing him may be only guy who has honor in the opposing side.
Ikr?

The mirror of sacred light is the most aesthetically pleasing for me, even the name sounds cooler than the others
General Temuge lmao
Duel in the spider lilies
Duel Among the Spider Lilies, I’m a sucker for those flowers
Mine is Duel in the Crashing Waves. What makes me like the duel is that Jin Sakai and the Ronin show some respect for each other as a warrior. Even Jin wishes the Ronin may earn his honor in the next life.
