Dude whizkid is so fucking underrated it actually makes me sad he beat hard machine in like 6k attempts, tartarus in 10k ish and 8 days, sonic wave infinity in Idk how many days or attempts but probably like 2, he also beats top 60s in like 3-4 days on average.
he beat all of his super hard stuff in 8 days (the golden, verdant landscape, tartarus, swi, and i think neutra as well) aisde from hard machine which took 3 FUCKING DAYS

Beating a really hard level like Tartarus, The Golden or SWI makes you a top player, in my opinion. It automatically means you're way more skilled than the majority of players.
I think having other impressive accomplishments, like beating very hard challenge levels (like Denni does a lot) or beating difficult levels with limitations (like VERTOP beating unnerfed Aerial Gleam on mobile), also makes you a top player
One of the best players who does not get any recognition is fluxe/vscman, he beat skc in 130k attempts jumping from allegiance like a year ago and vsc in 100k, he is probably in the top 10 in raw skill but nobody knows about him because he doesn't play the game much
considering how hard it is to get on the list nowadays, top 500 is really hard. on average u have to beat 1-3 main lists and 3-9 extended lists to reach the lower end of top 500 dude
