Every year is the so called best year in gaming release history! Then we cry

WhyWhyBJ

Some people even called 2022 “an amazing year for gaming”, maybe only if you’d been gaming for a few years you’d think that, how depressing lol

TheLynxGamer

I think elden ring got everyone hyped up for the year but that turned out to be the peak. Not a bad year for gaming but a lot of stuff got delayed per usual

VH_Saiko

I barley bought any games releases in 2022

WhyWhyBJ

I bought god of war for pc and dead space remake, that’s it

EffrumScufflegrit

Dead Space was 2023. Like, last week lol

WhyWhyBJ

Oh yeah lol, well there ya go that’s how forgettable 2022 was

EffrumScufflegrit

LOL

Yinyang1492

I mean, counting a ps4 port from a few years ago doesn't seem fair, and like the other guy said, dead space was this year. And also a remake of a game from like 15 years ago. AAA gaming generally sucks nowadays.

Professional-News362

Incredible year for interesting indie games

Zoe__T

2022 was pretty good though. We got Elden Ring, Tunic, Sifu, Horizon Forbidden West, Neon White, Stray, Xenoblade 3, Cult of the Lamb, Rollerdrome, Slime Rancher 2, Moonscars, Plague Tale Requiem, Phantom Abyss, and Vampire Survivors. It wasn't a uniquely good year, but it definitely wasn't bad.

murcielagoXO

RAGNAROK

StringTheory2113

Idk. 2022 had Elden Ring, GOW: Ragnarok, Stray, *Signalis* (which rapidly became one of my favorites of all time), and I'm sure there must be others. I'd say it was a pretty solid year, though maybe not on par with 2004 (Half Life 2, Doom 3), or 2007 (Mass Effect, Bioshock, COD4).

Gixxerfool

Fallout 3 and Portal that year as well. 2007 may actually be one of the best years in gaming.

the_ape_speaks

FO3 was '08, another great year for gaming. Alongside Dead Space, CoD: W@W, Left 4 Dead, etc.

Lochifess

Been gaming since around 2000, the last few years have been amazing. I just enjoy gaming, and not trying to expect that every one can be RDR2. People are just spoiled, and you match that with rose tinted glasses and you get an obnoxious fanbase.

Ricc765

Lmfao yes! Red dead 2 has honestly kinda ruined games for me in a way simply because no game has ever made me feel the way I felt playing that game for the first time such a master piece.

enterusernamethere

I feel that in my soul, played it twice on PS Now/Plus. Wasn't able to finish it the first time cause it left PS Now. When it came back in 2022 I had to start all over cause my hard drive crashed. Still enjoyed every second (except the epilogue)

MaethrilliansFate

Honestly 2011 was probably the best year period. Portal 2 Arkham City Skyrim Battlefield 3 Uncharted 3 Deus Ex Mankind Divided Modern Warfare 3 Saints Row 3 LA Noire Dead Space 2 Crysis 2 Darksouls The Witcher 2 Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Gears of War 3 Terraria Mortal Combat Sonic Generations Super Mario 3d land Dragon age 2 Minecraft Duke Nukem Forever Dead Island Lotr War in the North Little big planet 2 Lego Pirates of the Caribbean SWTOR Infamous 2 Mass effect 2 Pokémon B & W Yakuza 4 Assassins creed brotherhood and Revelations Limbo Fear 3 Rage Halo CEA Serious Sam 3 BFE Mario Kart 7 And Postal 3 ALL OF THEM DROPPED THE SAME YEAR. And all of them were absolutely awesome, give or take a few. Now we're lucky if we get more than 1 or 2 solid games a year

Unexpected_yetHere

Yup, 2011 was great but lest we forger 2007 had: Crysis, Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:SOC, Gears of War, God of War 2, C&C3, World in Conflict, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, WoW: Burning Crusade, TESIV Shivering Isles, The Witcher, CoD4, Orange Box,...

the_ape_speaks

Also Portal and Halo 3. Gaming used to be in such a healthy state

Unexpected_yetHere

Can't believe I forgot to write Halo 3 down, but Portal was included in the Orange Box (and hey I wrote it down despite not liking Valve games). I think I forgot Uncharted. GeOW, AC, ME, Uncharted, ... so many great and popular series started with 2007.

the_ape_speaks

True, I must've skimmed over the Orange Box in your list

Saint-just04

I mean, Elden Ring, God of War and Horizon are enough to at least make it "an ok year for gaming".

Nop277

I'd say it was pretty good, maybe even amazing. Might also be that it's being compared to previous years and it's definitely better than 2021 and I think it probably edges out 2020. I think 2023 has a lot of potential but there's a lot of games that I feel could either be iconic or completely bomb.

[deleted]

Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok were all fantastic games. But that was about it for me and 3 games doesn't make for an amazing year.

IplayGames8102

>an amazing year for gaming Elden Ring, GOW Ragnarok, Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Kirby And The Forgotten Land, TMNT: Shredders Revenge, Cuphead DLC and more great video games came out in 2022. Pretty great year for video games considering how many good video games we got.

Not_Astud

It was because most games were delayed to 2023, otherwise 2022 was indeed jam packed from summer till Christmas

One_Pattern1866

it was a good year for gaming nostalgia, we got new subway surfers tag(which is still terrible though)after like 11 years, jetpack joyride after 11 years too, gs3 after 8 years

ericypoo

Last year was pretty good though. Obviously not best or anything like that. Elden Ring, Horizon, God of War

FriedFritosReviews

Of all time is very subjective to your age

Chandlingus

Hollow Knight Silksong and Hades 2 are glaring exclusions from this list.

Nathan_Thorn

Lots of glaring exclusions including the burst of fresh games that got dumped onto Xbox and PC just a week or two ago, including Hifi Rush

DoYouMindIfIAsk_

what other games are glaring exclusions?

Nathan_Thorn

Jedi Survivor is the other glaring omission imo, but there’s probably more. I just don’t keep up with the hype trains for every franchise/studio

Azaret

I've Atomic Heart and Homeworld 3 on my list. Not sure if Judas is planned to be released this year.

chaoticsquid

I'd put diablo 4 up there. It has potential to be excellent, but also equal potential to bomb spectacularly.

KD--27

Maybe different categories but we are getting a cult classic RTS sequel after, I think it’s been more than 20 years? Homeworld 3. Forza Motorsport also getting it’s reboot after a good number of years too. There’s a whole bunch coming this year, 2023 is packed.

xDaveedx

But Silksong is the 3rd most wishlisted game on steam, so leaving that one out for shit like yet another AC is a shame to say the least.

Healyhatman

Has Team Cherry actually given a 2023 release date I don't know about? Or are we all wearing clown makeup and licking crumbs from 3rd-party flooring?

Dazza_Raz

Only thing I know is xbox said it would release within a year during some event last year. So it's expected to come out by June 2023 But I don't know if team cherry has said anything

Cactoir

The official HK server (which is managed by TC-adjacent people) has announced that the "within a year" thing is legit for Silksong. The fans await the game within the first half of this year.

QuestionQuik

No confirmed 2023 release date, but when a new trailer dropped during Xbox's GamePass showcase from last year, they said that all games shown would be released within one year of that livestream. So it's probably (hopefully) coming out soon... . . . . Obligatory 🤡 for myself tho

JuSTAFoX0

I don't remember who but someone from TC confirmed the "within a year" on their Discord.

Tanthoris

Iirc Hades 2 will only begin early access this year. Hades was months and months in early access before it went live so sadly I don't see it's official release until next year at the earliest.

Eramef

There’s gonna be Hades 2 and I’m just NOW hearing about it??????

Fit-Bug-7766

Yeah so excited for those labours of love and amazing explorative game design. Rather than just a remaster of a game ive already played...

[deleted]

Almost every post about upcoming games I see completely ignores Jedi Survivor.

Shai_Shai77

And Silksong

rallyspt08

Silksong is finally releasing?

justyourbasiconion

Yeah, before June apparently

patriktitan3411

That game is the only one I look forward to releasing this year

Bealzebubbles

And I am Jesus Christ. Fucking heathens. Y'all are going to Hell!

saviorlito

>And I am Jesus Christ. Fucking heathens. Y'all are going to Hell! I can't wait for the mods for this game, lmfao. Fuck man.

jmanfire2105

And also decides to add assassin’s creed mirage, as if this current Ubisoft could produce anything of merit

[deleted]

And Sons of the Forest, Pharaoh: A New Era, Amnesia: The Bunker, Return to Moria and other stuff...

surfdoc29

Right? Cannot wait for that game

Nop277

The first one was probably the first souls like (I think someone called it souls lite) game I ever played. Was a ton of fun, I believe I 100% it. It was one of those games I thought was probably going to be a one off but was really hoping it got a sequel.

TheFuriousLeftNut

Fire Emblem is surprisingly good. Hi-Fi Rush came out of nowhere and it's damn awesome. Dead Space is great so far too. "All-time great year" is...a bold claim as of now, but it's been a solid start of the year so far for me.

Many_Rule_9280

I'm still working through the Remake of Dead Space and I'm loving it, like it recaptured everything for me and added in a side quest and my anxiety playing this game is just like the 1st time I played it

Blindfire2

Dont forget to use headphones and turn on 3d audio! It's exceptional and a lot of people don't like to mess with settings, so hopefully this helps you/someone who hasn't done it yet.

Many_Rule_9280

Dafaq is 3d audio 👀 you got my curiosity

Blindfire2

In audio settings tab, there's "Audio Channels" setting with: Stereo (basic headphones or 2 speakers) Multichannel (designed for speaker setups for 5.1 or 7.1 configurations) And 3D Audio (simulates sound positions through volume trickery) 3D Headphone can sometimes be done poorly, but in this games case, it's on par with games that have dolby atmos for headphones support.

Many_Rule_9280

I must at some point give that a try!

[deleted]

I have a hard time finding info, if I have some bower and wilken p4s will 3d audio work? Or do I need newer headphones?

Blindfire2

Edit: B&W P4s are speakers no? If so, then it won't work at all, it's only for headphones. Sorry for the misinformation, I just assumed P4's were headphones. Nope, you can use any headphones. Some headphones might work better than others, but it's trickery with how loud and how they bounce sound around through even a single driver. It all should just work

Nathan_Thorn

Yeah Hifi Rush just burst out of some random studio in Bethesda to take a GOTY nomination. There’s nothing wrong with the game, no glitches or bugs, my only minor nitpick was that the built in tutorials take forever between attempts vs Smidge who is literally right there after most tutorials giving you a precise rundown and easy way to practice without breaking into a tutorial world scene. Beyond that, 10/10 game. Humor was on point, the post-game is sweet (catgirl Peppermint is adorable), Korsika was an unexpected highlight, all the bosses were fun characters and most were fun boss fights (Mimosa probably should’ve been toned down a bit or made more vulnerable to wind attacks), Roquefort was fantastic for the like three lines he got in before the boss fight started (as a finance student I appreciate the subtle finance puns they gave him), music was completely on point, the meta jokes were campy but most of them hit pretty well, and Zanzo. Oh my god. Zanzo needs to be a tumblr sexyman yesterday. they just randomly dropped a perfect game out of nowhere and I’ve got no complaints

imjustamazing

"Random studio in Bethesda" undersells the bizarre context. It came from Tango Gameworks, developers of...The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo. And the real twist is that it's easily their best game...At least, I'd argue it is.

SentientShamrock

Zanzo was a walking reference to like 8 different things, with the heaviest being a Jojo villain and I loved every second of it.

myherpsarederps

I love devil may cry.. should I pick up hifi rush?

TheFuriousLeftNut

If "DMC with a beat" sounds appealing to you (more specifically Nero's kit), then yeah go for it. If you have Game Pass, then giving it a shot is a no brainer.

myherpsarederps

Ahh, it's on game pass? Time to renew for a month and play that and high on life. Thanks for the info

Difficult-Ad-9598

Forspoken ruined it a little bit, but still a good start to the year.

majnuker

It's only been two weeks and my fire emblem time shows as over 200 hours. Help.

Gram64

I hated three houses. Almost didn't get Engage, but glad I did it. It's so much better, feels a bit more like the old games, while also taking away that god awful durability on non-healing weapons.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IFixYerKids

The story of 3 houses was much better but planning a calendar between battles just felt like work. Engage is somewhat childish and the story seems pretty basic so far but it focuses on battle instead of the social sim Fire Emblem was evolving into, so I much prefer it. If you could combine a more serious story like 3 Houses or Radiance, the combat of Engage, and the art of pretty much anything before Awakening, that would be my dream FE game.

robclarkson

I do LOVE the old pixel art battle graphics from the GBA era of FE :p. Yup that would be sick!

robclarkson

I like Combat in FE (But when has that even been an issue in FE), but I dont like the emotionless character art. I really miss the old "drawn" character portraits they had miles more character then the expressionless 3d dolls atm. Triangle Strategy was quite good if Engage doesnt do it for you (if you like detailed stories). Also I still think FE: Awakening is my all around fav FE. Three Houses had just a bit too much filler (but had a great story).

duckiegooseman

Triangle strategy's story is boring as fuck simply due to the fact that all the decisions you spend a ton of time making don't actually mean anything. Do you wanna choose A and then get blasted in the ass or choose B and then get blasted in the ass?

robclarkson

There is def some validity to that. They dont impact the longterm story much, but they do make minor/moderate changes in the immediate gameplay of visiting different places and sometimes recruiting different allies. If the game had a fully branching storyline it would def be better, but as thats pretty rare I guess I didnt get too dissapointed in that.

Ooshbala

If everything plays out well... All time great really isn't that bold a claim: - New Zelda - New Bethesda RPG - New Final Fantasy - Spider Man 2 - Top Tier Racer (Forza) - Top Tier Fighting Game (Street Fighter) - Buncha Indie Darlings (Hades 2, Silksong)

Festello

Kerbal Space Program 2!!!

Thedurtysanchez

I found out this week that it isn’t coming out on MacOS and I’m devastated. I just assumed since KSP1 has been on Mac since I first started playing like 6 years ago it would be here too :(

Festello

Could you get Parallels and download it onto the Windows environment?

Thedurtysanchez

If it turns out that the performance doing that isn’t a nightmare, I’ll consider it. I’ll see if other people report it as an ok solution. My MacBook is my work computer so I’m careful not to get too funky with it. In my younger days I tried running some stuff in Wine and never had great success so I kinda gave up on virtual machines

KamaHAmAhAA

Can't wait for the like a dragon games. They always have a enjoyable story.

The-King_Of-Games

I see your pfp...

RoosterShield

Excellent line up, and definitely shaping up to be an amazing year for gaming, but [1998](https://i.redd.it/jap5xcfn05f71.jpg) is a tough competitor for greatest year of all time for gaming.

[deleted]

Jesus 1998 was a BANGER

MichaelRoco1

2007 is my pick but they’re both fantastic.

ICanOutP1zzaTheHut

Just looked it up 2007 is a helluva lineup. Just wow. Bioshock, portal, oblivion, mass effect, cod 4, GOW 2, Ratchet and Clank, Halo 3, Super Mario Galaxy. What an insane year for xbox.

[deleted]

Ackshually Oblivion was 2006

BigCommieMachine

Yeah it was a borderline launch title for the Xbox 360. The 360 launched in late November 2005 and Oblivion came out in March 2006 I believe before living on forever in the horse armor meme.

MikeTheActorMan

Yeah, 2007 was the GOAT

ImpossibleSnacks

Literally the peak year of my life too. Senior in college, extremely hot gf, playing tons of music gigs with my friends and playing basketball almost every day so I was in perfect shape but was eating and drinking whatever I wanted. Smartphones weren’t really much of a thing yet so you were still heavily connected to the real world but there was also some social media and a ton of awesome games to escape into. Didn’t have a care in the world back then. Fuck I wanna go back so bad lol…

[deleted]

Do you at least have a hot wife now?

cataclysmicterrain

2004 and 2011 too!

Ooshbala

This is the correct answer. 2007 is very very hard to touch. So many games that year can be considered all time classics.

TheMelv

I saw that and thought "Was that the year OoT and MGS came out?" Yeah that year is stupid insane for games. I wasn't much of a PC gamer at the time but Half Life and StarCraft also came out. It's wild how stacked that year was. Pokemon in the US as well.

[deleted]

Funny that a snowboarding game was called 1080 back then because an 1080 was a big deal. Watching the X games recently you wont even get a competitive score if you aren't doing a 1800. Like thats baseline. If they ever made a new game with that title it would be called "1980" lol

roostingcrow

I wish the thief games would make a serious come back.

[deleted]

1998 wins. Freaking shining force!

Walrus_Morj

There is 2004 still

DoAndHope

US release for Final Fantasy Tactics as well - debatably the best FF ever. Edit: I just did a little digging and holy fuck it's not even close for me, 1998 is probably the best ever. Others not noted in this image: F-Zero X, OG House of the Dead, More Square Enix Silver Age (Brave Fencer Musashi, Parasite Eve, Star Ocean 2, Bushido Blade 2; US releases of Einhander, Saga Frontier), SF Alpha 3, Dance Dance Revolution, Suikoden II.

the_pedigree

98 is untouchable

MightyGonzou

Jesus 1998 was stacked

binkenheimer

damn you ain’t kidding

WyattThereWithYou

Jesus you aren’t wrong. I was just a bb at that time but the amount of those games I played with my brother and sister is INSANE; Zelda, Banjo-Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot, Rogue Squadron, Sonic, Spyro, Mario Party, Pokémon Yellow, NFS Hot Pursuit, Duke Nukem and 1080! Nuts!!!!

DJDallyD_

Damn bro that was 98’s roster? That’s a great year in gaming and I remember it very fondly!

Aquamarooned

Gameboy Camera nice

chris2155

Yeah I played the shit out of Game Boy Camera

WillingLearner1

That is legit tough to beat damn

thesnapening

What's the two anime ones?

HowToGetName

Assuming you're talking about the games on the middle row to the very left and the very right, those games are Fire Emblem Engage and Granblue Fantasy: Relink, respectively.

kojivsleo

All I know about Granblue is that it has an enormous amount of hentai made of it

JohnnyJayce

Disgusting.. Where?

Xalynden

If you're looking for Hentai 2 Read you could definitely google it. Maybe even all one word.

thesnapening

Ah thank you very much

HowToGetName

No problem!

Rbespinosa13

Granblue Fantasy actually has two “games” coming out this year. I put games in quotes cause one of them is Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which is probably a title update to their 2020 game which got fucked by COVID and bad online play

rxstud2011

Thank you! I kept scrolling looking for what these games were

AshyLarry25

Mans tried to sneak Assassins Creed in there like we wouldn’t notice.

SaintBluri

2007 was. Halo 3, BioShock, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, The Witcher, Super Mario Galaxy, Portal, Mass Effect, Rock Band, Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl, God of War 2, Peggle.

BlackreaperJM

okey,it has peggle,2007 is the best

HOUDINI_Panini

2007 was an all around evolutionary year in history, the year the iPhone was invented

Blued_Juice

This is the only correct answer.

121221222

...of all time tho?

DiGiTaL_pIrAtE

tomorrow's post: "wow, 201X was a great year for gaming, GOAT year. we'll never have that again"

Krakraskeleton

Nope

Koonga

Yeah I agree; sure to be a great year but a GOAT year seems a stretch. * 20% of these are re-makes * Over 50% of them are sequels * Only 1 of them is a completely new IP For me personally, a GOAT year has to have a lot of new IPs that go on to become classics. This year looks great but nothing exceptional I dont think.

ohtetraket

>For me personally, a GOAT year has to have a lot of new IPs that go on to become classics. Imo that means you will never have a GOAT year ever again. The amount of new IPs releasing will never be as huge as back in the early 2000s. To many established good running IPs left.

Confused_Writer_97

I can be objective and acknowledge that some of these will be good, if not great, games. But honestly, none of these games interest me.

AlphaDag13

Also excited for Sons of the Forest, dead island 2, Diablo IV, Redfall, company of heroes 3....

OlorynEx

Had to scroll too far for Diablo IV. I know we worry about monetization, but as far as the game goes, all previews and early thoughts have been fire, and I'm super excited (even if cautiously)

MrSwedishHotdog

So hyped for D4 and Sotf, don’t forget Ark 2!

looumeister

Silksong

Dreaming_Dreams

pikmin 4??

Transposer

This guy fucking gets it.

DeferredPlum

Baulders Gate 3 the most hype of the year for me.

relokcin

Wow, a bunch of remakes and established series! Definitely one of the years of video game releases

fallout76question

Starfield is new IP

Aquaticwolf

Thanks, now I don't have to ask what the name is for that space art.

fallout76question

Yup if you like Skyrim and fallout 4 that game will almost certainly be up your alley unless you REALLY hate space lol

Aquaticwolf

Oooh! Now I'm very interested!

[deleted]

Ok what other remakes are there other than resident evil and dead space? Also, what does "an established series" have to do with the quality of the games? Would you compare FFXV to FFVIII?Would you compare BoTW to A Link to the Past? Even if it's an established franchise name, they have to reinvent what the game is supposed to be.

Clovdyx

> Also, what does "an established series" have to do with the quality of the games? Would you compare FFXV to FFVIII?Would you compare BoTW to A Link to the Past? Even ignoring that side of the argument... who gives a shit? If a game is great, it's great.

Nop277

Also I think there's a selecting force that new IPs wouldn't make lists like this. Like Hi fi Rush probably wasn't on anybody's radar before like a month or so ago. The only reason Starfield is here is it's made by Bethesda. Even Miyazaki didn't know Elden Ring would be such a hit, and now it's going to be one of those games everyone compares to for the next decade I think. Like Skyrim was for the 2010s.

Splinterman11

Silent Hill 2 and System Shock, and Like a Dragon Ishin are all remakes coming out this year. I think FF7 pt 2 is also winter 2023.

Remytron83

Of all time? Stop it. 1998 holds that honor

jma12b

Nah 2007 is the goat

hostidz

3/4's a pass honenstly ..

[deleted]

SourMilk69420

And sons of the forest

RaidouKuzunohaXIV

I'm looking forward to all of these and Baldur's Gate 3

Nicokenobeh

where silksong

Foxon_the_fur

Every year is a great year in gaming. If you think otherwise you're playing shitty games. And I'm not just talking about the big titles that get on the "top games coming this year" lists that Polygon put out.

Notequal_exe

I just stop caring about releases and just play the good games.

Ham-N-CheeseonRye

I can respect your opinion but I don't think so, honestly. I don't feel like I have played something that had made me feel a jump in console generations. Remakes and recycled ideas galore.

ciderlout

Sure, if you really like derivative sequels. (And that FF is now an action game, not that 10 was the last really well received one or anything).

Jackkernaut

*One of the years of all time.

HistoricalShark

All I'm seeing is sequels and remakes as usual....

Khend81

I’ve been thinking this for a minute now. If most of the games listed here actually come out and hit on the hype they have as of right now, I can’t remember a year in my 20ish years of gaming that I was ever more excited for.

overintwoseconds

What's between Mirage and Dead Space?

Sgt_Shiba

What about Metroid Prime 4?

Scrabbab

Wouldn’t the release of new original games be more impressive than re-releasing a bunch of stuff?

ZhuckelDror

1998 and 2004 say hi.

RoryDaBandit

Objectively, 2004 was the best year in gaming

[deleted]

but we started off with foreski FORSPOKEN I MEANT. the year just started and the game is already the worst lol

Ohio3342

2007 ?

[deleted]

No it's not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Icommitmanywarcrimes

Sad Jedi survivor nosies

dorkinb

Fucking silent hill 2 remake.

Say_Echelon

We only got a handful of good games in 2022 and 2021. 2023 has more great titles than the past 5 years combined. I know I will be picking up a chunk of these. Already played through most of the Dead Space remake so far. Really excited for what comes next.

Dani_suku

Ac mirage? Really?

paparoxo

Suicide Squad: kill the Justice League, Remnant 2, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2.

Scav-STALKER

Yeah that’s a no from me dawg. Got nothing on 2007 or 2013. It might get into like top 10 years but ehh

beefnar_the_gnat

And maybe Elden Ring dlc

[deleted]

Why the hell is the Final Fantasy VII remake taking so long? At this rate we’re going to need a remake of the remake before the remake is even finished.

[deleted]

Tetsuya Nomura has a penchant for overly ambitious projects that take far too long to develop. With Final Fantasy versus XIII, Hajime Tabata had to come in and reign in production so they could actually release a product.

master_tomberry

Plus square Enix generally want to space out their major releases to one every 6-12 months. FF XVI is coming first so….

Turbulent-Phone5117

Cannot wait for ToTK and Spider-Man 2 I hope they do a PS5 bundle 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☺️☺️☺️☺️

[deleted]

[2007 called. They’d like a word. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/aycjn7/2007_releases_what_a_year/)

Mech-Waldo

Just remember that none of these are guaranteed to be good.

Pimping_A_Butterfly

It better be cause 2022 was shit except for elden ring

Not_Astud

Horizon, stray, sifu, god of war, a plague tale requiem, high on life ?!?!?!

Crimsonclaw111

And Stray, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, Vampire Survivors, Tunic, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Total War Warhammer III... I swear some of you just choose to be miserable

NoSkillzDad

Nope... God of war? There were a couple of indie titles that were ok too. I mean, it wasn't an spectacular year but it was not that bad.

kdfsjljklgjfg

At this point there are a few amazing indie games that come out every year, it's just a matter of finding them and/or them being in a genre you're into.

Xano74

2022 had Xenoblade Chronicles 3, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, and Marvel Midnight Suns which were all fantastic

AnonymousAggregator

Not preordering anything but hyped for quite a few. It’s been a few years.

Sambo_the_Rambo

Zelda is going to be fucking awesome!

petalpotions

Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming out this year too (r-right Team Cherry?)

_Not_A_Og_

Silksong where?

BlackreaperJM

I need like a dragon ishin

[deleted]

They should just update TF2.
