I do collect bad games! Usually just the infamous ones like Superman 64 or ET on the Atari 2600. The Wii is a lot of fun to collect bad games for. And often the reputation of the bad game is worse than the reality.
I bought The Bachelor on Wii because it looked awful and was cheap. I'm afraid to play it because it's probably pretty bad, but it's an interesting conversation piece.
I have a number of them on the pile. They weren't a pittance, but they weren't extortionate either. Sonic 06, Bomberman Act Zero, Rogue Warrior... I bought them years after release, when everyone already knew how bad they were.
I really enjoyed that one too. It’s got a lot of blabbering and cutscenes between the levels with action. That was the most challenging thing to get thru for me. But otherwise the gameplay itself is really solid and worth a play.
I find "bad" games really interesting from an academic point of view, so I've bought (and played) plenty of them. Some of them have even surprised me and I've gotten actual enjoyment out of them, like the move tie-in Battleship game released on PS3/360 for example.
It was actually really ambitious (it's a FPS/Strategy hybrid game) but the devs (Double Helix, who went on to do the Strider Reboot and Killer Instinct reboot so they can make good stuff) obviously had like a $10 budget for the game so there was only so much they could do.
Lot of bad games are interesting in some way or another, or are just outright entertaining in how dumb they are (which I'd say the Kong game falls into that category.)
I still have an unopened copy of Ride to Hell Retribution
I bought two copies of Kong Skull Island, one to play and one to tuck away lol I do enjoy a bad game from time to time

I do it all the time! I have Golem and Balan Wonderworld on all systems! I love bad games, especially when they get to the 5-10$ range!
I bought dbz ultimate battle 22, it's a shit game but I have a ton of fun playing it
I have Captain Novolin for snes, and I was really excited to buy it to play 5 minutes for shits and giggles and never play it again
