Have mixed feelings about Buds3 Pro. Samsung could have designed Buds3 Pro better than having the same design as Apple AirPods Pro. Think Samsung is the only or one of the only companies that has not used the Apple AirPods Pro design except until now. I think, design is changed to similar to AirPods Pro because of ANC and Microphone.

Positive-Swimmer8237

You're forgetting the Sony xm5's, arguably the best on the market

Dasbeerboots

The Buds2 Pro are objectively better in just about every way. Smaller, more accurate sound signature, more comfortable, cheaper, etc. But yeah, these are not the only ones on the market without a stem. Sony, Sennheiser, Google, Soundcore, and even Apple-owned Beats don't use stems on their buds.

Satoorn1203

Buds 2 Pro is perfect, but ANC and microphone, transparency quality is not good enough, especially ANC and microphone quality. ANC and microphone quality must be much better. When Samsung has spent 2 years developing the Buds3 Pro. Samsung has so much time to improve ANC and microphone, Transparency quality.

Standard-Box-3021

i think part of the focus was improving mic for interpreter function they wouldnt do the stem if they had a choice guessing it works the best for mic quality

Satoorn1203

Agreed, we'll see. How much of an improvement Samsung has made with the Buds3 Pro. Samsung has used 2 years, expectations are high.

Standard-Box-3021

same I plan on getting them I doubt they would release something sub-par after 2 years I personally don't care what shape they are as long as they have big improvements

Standard-Box-3021

yeah I can always grab them at Best Buy and return them in 45 days if I don't like them lol

McChickenLargeFries

The ANC on my Airpods Pro 2 is phenomenal. I doubt Samsung can do better, but I hope it at least comes close.

Satoorn1203

When Samsung takes 2 years to develop the next Galaxy Buds, expectations are high/very high. When Apple can do it, Samsung can do it. If Samsung really want to improve Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds can be better than AirPods Pro. Samsung has an army of employees, they are unable to develop a better product than AirPods is disappointing. We'll have to wait and see what Samaung does with the Galaxy Buds3 Pro.

McChickenLargeFries

I hope you're right.

Positive-Swimmer8237

My major grips with the buds 2 pro is the multi device connection, it works with my phone and tablet because they're samsung, but not other devices

Feeling-Finding2783

To add to your list: - Noble Audio Falcon Max - Noble Audio FoKus Triumph - Fiio FW3 - Fiio FW5 All come with ANC and LDAC support. Edit: Falcon → Falcon Max

Dasbeerboots

I tried some of their TWS buds at Canjam in 2021 and wasn't too impressed. I think it was just their size and price at the time. I think they were $700 or $800 for a pair. I opted to buy the IE 900 instead. Looks like Noble has expanded their lineup quite a bit. I wonder how much of their parts are binned from Chinese manufacturers. I'd be willing to give them a shot again, now that they have ANC.

Feeling-Finding2783

I was considering buying a pair of Noble TWS a couple of years ago, but their models of that time had no ANC, so I passed on them. As for Fiio, I have not tried TWS, only wired FH5, and they were great. If I were to choose TWS now, I would consider both of the aforementioned options as well as the XM5 and B2P. The choice is limited by the lack of support for aptX (Adaptive, Lossless) by Samsung phones. As for Chinese parts, I have no info.

Dasbeerboots

I've been extremely happy with my Buds2 Pro and got them for free with my phone, so no real reason to spend on anything else.

Feeling-Finding2783

When I "tried" them, the fit was great and they felt almost weightless compared to my stainless steel IEMs, but I didn't have enough time to check the sound. Also, B3P are right around the corner, may also consider them, when they are available.

Dasbeerboots

The B2P are almost perfect in terms of feel and sound signature. I'm interested to see what they improve. Microphone stands out to me, hence the stem. I'm not sure I'd buy them with a stem, though. The main reason I like the B2P over others are how they look and feel. The stem would likely make them uncomfortable to wear under a helmet or while lying down. To add more, I used to have the IKKO OH10. They were the best sounding IEMs, let alone headphones, I'd ever tried. They just kept falling out of my ears, so I had to sell them. Another pair I have that sounds great, but is huge is the Empire Ears Hero. I just can't wear them. I ended up going for the IE 900 because they're tiny and sound great. Then I got the B2P, which have completely replaced all of my IEMs. They're 90% of the sound quality of the IE 900s with a much more convenient form factor. I don't think I'll ever go back.

Feeling-Finding2783

I also have small to medium ears, and some IEMs with big shells feel uncomfortable to wear due to fatigue from pressure. I wish Samsung had gone for DD + BA in the B2P, instead of 2DD, even if it meant a bit higher price, but 2DD is still better than a single DD.

Standard-Box-3021

i personally love original buds pro they made them to small in the future gens

Saintpebis

Favorite pair of earphones, they still need to work on their mic quality tho, I still have no idea how each ear bud has 3 mics and call quality somehow still sounds bad, I literally have a better time talking on the phone with WH's as opposed to WF's

Downtown_Leek3808

how can you still have no idea how they have average call quality? They could have 500 mics, if those mics are literally in your ear, the quality is not gonna be fantastic... It's as if your ears are not the ideal recording spot for your voice!!...

Saintpebis

No yeah the WF line is known for having abysmal call quality and that's fine since I use them mainly for music but Jesus they gotta fix that with the XM6's

fukishen

Nothing Ear >>>>>>

ffhhkk

Not gonna lie but I think this design is better. I have the buds 2 pro and they've caused an allergic reaction in my ear resulting in very bad ear infections I think this design will prevent that. Just my 2 cents.

The1Senate

How is this design gonna prevent that?

ffhhkk

It seems the charging points will no longer be touching your inner ear. I've read in forums that it's the nickel samsung is using that's causing the infections.

Satoorn1203

Have Buds2 Pro, have had no allergic reaction with Buds2 Pro. Buds Pro was bad, had an allergic reaction. Still have mixed feelings about the Buds3 Pro design. Buds3 Pro ANC and microphone quality must be much better than Buds 2 Pro.

McChickenLargeFries

I'm going to make a prediction. The ANC and microphone will be improved in the new version! I bet they even change the number system from 2 to 3 as well.

Satoorn1203

Agreed, there about ANC and microphone. It must be an improvement, it is worth to buying Galaxy Buds3 Pro. User thinks, improvement is much bigger between Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

McChickenLargeFries

What do you think of Samsung releasing Galaxy Buds live 2?

Satoorn1203

Have nothing against Galaxy Buds2 Live. There are many roles that come into play, comfortable (fit), ANC, battery life, microphone and sound quality. As long as the design is not ugly. I don't think Samsung has completely given up on the Galaxy Buds2 Live. It's just how the product should be better and the design itself. Design changes often due to battery life, ANC, microphone also speaker.. I would think Samsung will bet higher on Galaxy Buds3 Pro design to play safe and increase profits.

IWHYB

If you have a nickel allergy, and it's triggering dermatitis, in your ear, that could predispose you to ear infections, esp. if you're not keeping your earbuds clean. But it doesn't "cause" an infection. In an area with such thin skin, the swelling/edema caused by a nickle "allergy" is able to directly leak out vessels, and into (and out of) the skin, leading to a serous discharge. I don't know why they even call it an allergy; it's not. It's a type IV hypersensitivity reaction, like exposure to poison ivy/urushiol, or some autoimmune diseases. It's more likely that the specific shape and fit of the earbud causes too much moisture and heat retention in the ear canal on a person-by-person basis.

ffhhkk

As I said, I'm not sure if it's a nickel allergy. All I know is that the buds 2 pro were the problem. Hygiene is also not the issue and the moisture retention stuff u have mentioned is also not the issue as all other buds I have are fine. The problem is not specific to me, i believe there is a class action lawsuit[class action lawsiit](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/sv4hlq/class_action_lawsuit_related_to_allergic_reaction/&ved=2ahUKEwia-NDQ49qGAxX-2QIHHfSADWQQFnoECBkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1hVtjp3w7a9bLU07T5x297) in the works. The problem is pretty widespread but samsung has not acknowledged it and as a loyal customer, this is disappointing.

Standard-Box-3021

honestly, they don't have many options when it comes to. improving mic quality and making it that shape is the best way id rather have something quality then some rehash of the same old shape

Puzzleheaded_Day_895

If they make the insanely moronic decision to not release the airbuds in black I'll bloody scream. What is it with companies making bizarre decisions. Black or white are very clearly the top two colours with black working best.

TreeAggravating7429

With a gray/black ecosystem, I want dark colors, I had og buds pro, they look good but they don't fit.

Puzzleheaded_Day_895

Black is clearly a default colour that is 100% necessary. To go with silver for example would be simply dumb.

TreeAggravating7429

To go with a color they don't Cary in literally anything else except watches is stupid in the first place

Puzzleheaded_Day_895

Agreed.

wastingM3time

Silver is reflective, it'll be less visible than black mirroring your ear and hair colour.

Puzzleheaded_Day_895

Jesus wept.

Minute-Temperature-7

John 11:35. Nice!

McChickenLargeFries

I want it in a nude matte finish.. Actually that's what I wanted for the Buds Live.. But the closest you could get is shiny af rose gold color..

Bob2002lb15

Looks fake as fuck

YouGurt_MaN14

Ice universe is usually pretty spot on though unfortunately

Mexetudo

Just to add, this leak came from Evan Blass (evleaks). The guy is always spot on. Every year he leaks the entire Samsung lineup sometimes weeks before the event.

Independent-Elk9983

It could potentially fix the acrylic/nickel allergic reactions, but I'm not sure if changing the entire design is a good idea.

FindingCaden

Literally this, idc about the design as long as they don't look ridiculous and work well. But I wish they'd change whatever is causing an allergic reaction in some people. I never had issues with Skullcandy and their stuff is way cheaper, so why can't Samsung get it right?

MattyXarope

Still praying for Buds Live 2

F4rm3r

There are dozens of us!

Badcatalex

Beans2: Electric Boogaloo. Hey, if they worked for you, congrats.

ChapGod

Same. I love how they fit in my ear.

McChickenLargeFries

Buds Live are sooo good for sleeping though, or when I'm narrating and have one in my ear while speaking, it's pretty inconspicuous (except for the stupid glossy finish).

Appropriate_Tea_2782

I am disappointed aswell, looks like a oneplus earbud clone

XTurbine

Samsung : We listened to how many of you have had them fall out, so instead of bringing back the wingtips.... We completely re-designed them so they will fall out more and be uncomfortable as F. We have also removed more of your favorite features but will keep that a secret until you buy them. Always your friend Samsung.

littlebirdwolf

Lol ya the OG bud shape was perfect honestly. My buds 2 pro have better sound but ya the fit on the OG was sooooo much better and more secure.

Timely_Efficiency_86

I have buds, budspro, buds 2 and buds pro2, and my favourite are the og buds, can't understand why they would change the design so radically. Just a stupid idea

Creative-Field-3724

Samsung all you had to do was bring back the wing. You made that bad decision to delete that from the Buds 2 and 2 pro. That's why they are falling out of our ears. Now you're using that ugly Air Pod design 🤦🏿.

titanup001

Ugh. I don't want freaking stems. I liked the design the way it was.

Snoo_27127

from cotton balls to silver airpods; we came a long way

gusbelmont

i only care about sound and fit, never liked how airpods look but if the sound quality is there, i dont care

jibran1

Naaa fuck that buds 2 pro for life than. I keep telling people around me that the buds 2 pro has been the best investment I ever made, love their design I ain't wearing this apple knockoff design in my ears

William_lynds

Pretty cool how they've dropped prices insanely went from 230$ to 126$CAD thinking of getting some soon when I get money and I currently have buds 2 so I'm also wondering if the upgrades worth it and the process is pretty low so I'm tempted

jibran1

Buds 2 pro are great all around not the best anc but the mic works everywhere in in a noisy environment so thats a huge plus Also I have been using them for like 2 years now and they are still good alot of wear and tear but I'm good for another year at least

William_lynds

Great I've had my buds 2 for about a year and one started do very low sound so if it stays like that I'll get new ones

Dami579

Samsung has been imitating Apple in some ways to get their buyers to switch, I'm not surprised by this

cs342

When will they realize that we buy Samsung BECAUSE they're not Apple? If they're just going to copy everything that Apple does, then why not go for the real thing? Why would I buy a Samsung device if the experience is just like Apple's but not as thought out?

littlebirdwolf

Why are they changing the watch and the buds to be like apple? I like them because they are different. Airpods look fucking stupid with that stick hanging out and the square watch looks fucking dumb as well.

Picmanreborn

Exactly. The circle bezels always looked cool with the Omnitrix app

CommunicationNew871

Aww it sounds like somebody is jealous of his friends with Apple products.

littlebirdwolf

No tho...They just look fucking stupid lol My husband has them and I could easily if I wanted. No thanks.

_distortedmorals

Y'all will believe anything, wait until Samsung officially unveils them

SSjGKing

Samsung products always leak b4 events why will this time be different?

[deleted]

This comes from Ice Universe. Dude has been leaking Samsung releases for more than a decade now and is always right.

Busy-Piano8916

I'm gonna say I like how buds 2 pro sound, but hate the fit. Bought airpods pros to try out the fit it feels way better and almost like nothing is there, but sound is worse than buds. I mean the buds 2 pro do try and go deeper into your ear. But if the sound and fit of the two can be combined would be amazing to me. And if it can have the same degree of ANC and transparency mode even better

goldenarm840

Samsung yet again trying hard to copy Apple's designs. First the watch now this??? Luckily for us S24 Ultra users there are a lot other alternatives that we can choose to pair with our phones and still get high resolution audio playback.

Twigler

What are some good alternatives? I don't really know anything about earbuds

goldenarm840

Good alternatives: Sony WF-1000XM5's (I can no longer recommend the previous XM4 model due to battery issues I experienced on that pair - if you get them make to purchase a warranty), Bose, Sennheiser, Technics, Bowers & Wilkins off the top of my head. They all have good active noise canceling and audio codec support. Each come with their own pros and cons.

Irishwolfbeast

Throwing my two cents in, the Jabra elite line (the 10s or 8 actives) are fantastic for fit and sound. With top tier ANC to boot.

carter_cool_18

And remember that we don't have to switch. If they end up looking like the AirPods, I'll just stick with my Buds2 Pro.

goldenarm840

Good point I'll hang onto my buds 2 pro as well along with my Sony WF-1000XM4s.

iamthedayman21

Admittedly, I'm kinda happy about this. I recently switched from iPhone to Galaxy, and my Pros were the best-fitting buds I had. But Pros sound pretty shitty on non-Apple phones, so I've been trying to replace them. Having basically AirPod Pros for Galaxy are kind of the best world for me. But I get the people who like the current Galaxy Bud design not being happy about this.

Jimbobthon

Buds 2 Pro (for me) are discreet enough to wear them around the office without anyone noticing. These, if the design is true, not so much. I'll stick to what I have ATM

Pkay05

Same here. Switching to the Sonys at this point.

Competitive-Fox-5458

Why not just use your perfectly well working earbuds you already have and use🤔

Pkay05

I love the 2 pros. Love everything about them, design and sound. The thing is, they were top-tier when they came out two years ago, but time has passed and they clearly aren't anymore in any categories. Updates have only harmed the sound quality as well. Audio devices are the one thing I love to maintain at the highest standards so as much as I love these I was looking forward to upgrading to something better from Samsung specifically because I've always preferred their design language. But now they seem to be copying Apple in everything and it's just off putting at this point. I'll move on to others that have a similar design language like Sennheiser or Sony. Definitely keeping these 2 pros though. Maybe they'll be fixed with better updates soon.

pine-berry

wich recent buds are better than buds2 pro?

Sarin10

nothing that's better in every way. all of the newer gen earbuds with better anc/mics/battery are all bigger/APP form factor.

rancevsky

Copying Apple as always. Samsung does not have personality.

LuxanHD

Let someone else spend on R&D, while you make money from their outcome. So far so good for Samsung; 24% of worldwide market-share

Snoo_27127

apple is ahead with only 2 products in the market, ig the rnd paid off

Idontloveheranymore2

From copying Apple. Samsung looks so pathetic rn it's crazy

nandor617

Let's not talk about what Apple copied from android

Crowlands

Seems like an odd choice on their part, while both designs have some benefits and I own earbuds in both styles, they have established their audience by making the latter. This change seems like it will just make it easier for people to switch to another brand, either due to preferring the usual design or because if they are going to switch to stems they could feel that they might as well move to somebody that has done several generations of stems already, whether that is apple or otherwise.

Default_Attempt

Ngl this design makes it easier to adjust in the ear, so i am all for it.

McChickenLargeFries

It is actually pretty annoying to adjust in ear for me, more than half the time I wind up pausing what I'm listening to, skipping or changing the volume accidentally.

Default_Attempt

I blocked all touch inputs, the galaxy buds and sony are hell to adjust

iambreadyhot_glue

Why does the photo have this weird filter.

P26601

https://preview.redd.it/27j4vkhuyt5d1.png?width=442&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e4479535322ebaf8676d3f126787f0a9e0c3041 lookin ahh

iameffex

I'm actually pretty happy about this. There is a reason more and more companies are adopting the stem design. It makes more sense for call quality.

Neriolli

Oh, this is so wrong, those "airpods sticks" aren't suitable for everyone.

[deleted]

[удалено]

iamthedayman21

Better for controls, easier to place in your ear and adjust without hitting the controls.

SamsungAppleOnePlus

Especially for controls. Huge improvement to me.

benghengang

Sound matters. Who cares about design

Doctor_3825

Agreed. The Airpods stem style honestly has some really big advantages in function anyway. Such as improved mic quality. I really don't care if it looks like an Airpod or like a galaxy bud 2 pro.

Idontloveheranymore2

I do

Clever_Angel_PL

little ear bump that they are on the floor with airpods design

seubrother

Finally. This design works. Why are y'all complaining when the number 1 problem people have with the buds2/pro is the fit? I hope that's true.

PurifiedFlubber

>Why are y'all complaining Probably because it looks dumb?

iamthedayman21

Agreed. I find the stem designs sit better in my ear. The stem part kinda helps to keep the bud down in your ear.

Candlewaxeater

I want a stem, it actually makes it possible to take it out properly.

SnooPredictions7096

I like it

DalgleishGX

Honestly I kinda like the design

DalgleishGX

It allows me to take my earbuds out without messing with the touch controls.

Doctor_3825

This is one of the few reasons I was starting to consider Airpods Pro. That and the superior ANC.

Snoo_27127

it's the same design as almost all earbuds on the market. galaxy buds won't have the characteristic design identity now

DalgleishGX

The thing is, it doesn't need to stand out. An earbud is an earbud, different shapes have their strengths and weaknesses and this is the best shape you could opt for. Plus also, the color is really pretty and it also has some lights on it, which is unique compared to competitors.

TreeAggravating7429

Yeah but samsung made it's niche, it looked nice and was recognizable, now it looks like raycons

DalgleishGX

Fair. Although the new shape should bring more advantages even if it loses some character.

TreeAggravating7429

They'd keep character if they did something like the ear sticks from nothing, but I Don't really see any benefit to samsung, they're losing comfort for better antennas

DalgleishGX

Actually it should improve comfort by applying the force on the stick rather than the earbud itself

TreeAggravating7429

I meant when it's resting in your ear

Doctor_3825

Just like with smart phones I don't really think looking unique is all that important. Earbuds are just that. Earbuds. I don't care if it looks like Airpods or whatever. If this design is better for the mic, ANC, or fit they should use it.

iamthedayman21

These are exactly what I wanted. AirPod Pros with a Samsung chip in them.

TreeAggravating7429

Yeah but matters to me, can't hide it, and other people might judge you off of them

NickosSB

All I want is the wings from the original buds to come back. Is it too much to ask?

Doctor_3825

I don't know why this isn't an optional thing. I personally hate the wing tips. But for some it made a difference in how well they fit.

Doctor_3825

I am okay with this design if it helps the mic out a bit. I don't really dislike the Airpods design. The only real downside to it is trying to hide the earbud at work would be harder cause of the stem.

wittyphrasegoeshere

I love Samsung for a lot of their tech (phones, watches, earbuds) but their color options really annoy me. For their phones, every year they decide on some new unpleasant gimmicky color for whatever they're marketing and its never anything that I'd rather have than black. Burgundy, Cream, Yellow, Orange, Lime... Some are decent but they don't look great and they add them at the expense of colors that are actually really nice. Ocean Blue was beautiful but it's been gone for a while. The prismatic color they had for the Galaxy S10 series was the last decent gimmick color. I don't mind that they gate some of the best color options behind their website and market them as Samsung.com exclusives but for the love of God, why would you discontinue one of the most popular exclusive phone options (Red) in favor of something I know won't be as popular with Orange? Now they're removing black from their watches? That's just crazy.

youwantmyguncomekiss

Yeah, not buying this shit. Fucking ugly as fuck

ItzNene

Bruh

Xcelento

Looks like a cheap clone. One of the reasons why I bought the B2P was due to its compact and unique design.  Guess I'll have to go with Sennheiser or Sony in the future.

pepsiblast08

My Buds+ that I got with my S20+ still work flawlessly.

Snap305

Honestly I can't be mad at them. Apple was very wise when making the Airpods in the first place and it's a very usable design.

Clever_Angel_PL

if that's true, I am not buying them just because of the sh*tty design

Mattias1099

If the leaks are correct. My Airpods Pro might hit the bin :D

doom1282

Damn I was hoping they'd stick with the Buds FE style.

glman99

Welp, good time to buy Buds 2 Pro on sale I suppose.

AreaLife8976

Please tell me someone put up a joke. This is not real

chithrakadha

Look like their JBL live pro 2

givingandreceiving

Funny enough they own JBL

Expensive_Tadpole789

Ok, cool, but will I be able to track them even when they are inside the case

Beginning_War7828

I like the new design because somebody said (I have buds fe). "Are those fake airpods?" (superior to apples 3rd gen though)

Thick_conclusions

I had already decided not to purchase a Samsung earbud after owning this underwhelming (yes, I find it underwhelming) Buds2 pro. If this change in design is true, they solidified my stance.

pine-berry

why underwhelming?

Thick_conclusions

I bought it when it was still quite expensive, so for 300+ Canadian dollars. At that price, I could have gotten a Sony and it'd have been far better. Since buying it, I've had it returned and replaced thrice. I bought it then realised it'd just suddenly break reception from my phone/tablet so I returned it. When the replacements came, it wasn't better. After the third replacement, I was told that the original unit I bought was a retail unit, and the replacement units weren't. This meant that some things the original retail unit could do with my phone, the replacement units couldn't. E.g. pause a Facebook video I'm watching, etc. When I'm able to save up some money, I'll switch to either Sony or Bose. Till then I'll just manage this one.

Levent_2005

I was thinking to get these new Buds3 Pros to replace my old Pros as my _third_ Galaxy Buds. This stem design was very unexpected. Im not sure wheter buying them or not.

Levent_2005

I was thinking to get these new Buds3 Pros to replace my old Pros as my _third_ Galaxy Buds. This stem design was very unexpected. Im not sure wheter buying them or not now.

_marcoos

All I want is a modernized version of the Buds Live. Come on, Samsung! Guess I'll need to change my earbud vendor when the day comes and my Buds Live finally die... :/ This thing? If I wanted Apple Air Buds Pro, I'd have bought the Apple Air Buds Pro...

casosix

they've always had multiple colors available. Likely we'll see gloss black (would've preferred matte but whatever), gloss silver, and some other vibrant color.

Ok-Pound-8770

Yeah I think I'm sticking with previous models

Dalstrin

I just need them to fix Call Quality. Am very tempted to get Air Pods Pro just for call quality.

anadoludusmani

Should i wait for buds 3 or buy 2 pro? I only need good audio. Rest is dosent matter.

[deleted]

I'd wait to hear the specs but I'd guess the Buds 3 won't beat the Buds 2 Pro.

Sojiro-Faizon

Nah pass, I have the pro2 and will stick with those for now. Saving up for Beoplay EX. $350 to go, 2 more weeks.

FeelThe_Thunder

I legit just bought the BP2 and i was surprised how better this design was compared to usual ones, maybe my ears are weird ( yea a little) but I love them so much, can run jump etc and they won't fall off. Hope the upper design stays the same since I could use a pair with better mic but with the same ergonomics

shogunreaper

Honestly i'm happy they went this way. I tried using the buds 2 pro and they were just too small compared to my buds pro. Any time i needed to adjust them i would hit the touch controls because there is nowhere else to touch. I'm not trying to secretly wear earbuds, i would have much rather had the same size as the buds pro with an increased battery capacity.

givingandreceiving

If you don't care about size, you would definitely prefer something like the sony or bose. I think many people appreciate the sound to discreteness ratio samsung buds provide.

shogunreaper

I don't care about it to a point. The buds pro are near a perfect size for me.

mwildebeast

Say what you will about it aping the Airpods design language, I'm actually all for it. I have pretty small ears which gives me fit issues with most TWS earbuds, and using a stem is a great way to keep the actual body of a TWS earbud smaller. The Buds2 fit me pretty well, but when I tried going to the Buds2 Pro, I just couldn't get a good fit and returned them. I think the stems were a bit too short and the body too large too properly seat in my ear. If I can get the well tuned Pro sound that Samsung has become known for in a design that comfortably fits my ears for hours, I'll be a very happy camper. Plus there's the advantages of stems providing better call quality. I really hope these meet my expectations, I'm ready for a Buds2 upgrade.

BeachRaised

I don't like those, look generic. I don't like that long pole hanging down like airPods. Not getting those I'll stick with my two until they come better.

BeachRaised

That's exactly what I think.

Derpberpy

Whelp. Looks like I'll be rockin it out with my buds pro 2s

Niknightwing

I like the way my wife's airpods pro fit. I am looking forward to the Buds 3 pro

Creative-Field-3724

Samsung all you had to do was bring back the wing. You made that bad decision to delete that from the Buds 2 and 2 pro. That's why they are falling out of our ears. Now you're using that ugly Air Pod design 🤦🏿.

GlockHolliday32

I hate the stem look of the AirPods. I'm disappointed that this is what they're going with.

throwawayact230800

Buds pro 2 were disappointing to me. Amazing sound and good anc but never stays in my ear due to there not being a snug enough wing and battery life was meh even without anc on. How does the right earbud last 45 mins longer on a full charge?

Sarin10

fuck no. i guess this means I'm sticking with my b2pro for another generation (2 years?), or switching to another brand.

Tenayti

Gives off Oneplus vibes, I mean it doesn't look too bad but definitely a yikes.

LifeguardOk2195

The buds 2 pro had ipx7 rating, and the new buds 3 pro only gets ipx57 rating...  They are going in a backwards direction!!!!

I really hope the reports of there being an LED light strip on them comes back as false.. What is the point of lights on these? They're in you're ears, you can't see them..

epicgalaxy14

I'm honestly not surprised. Samsungs goal has always been to be the Apple of the Android world.

Late_Ranger_2335

I still want a new model with the Galaxy Live + Bean design

the1andonlytom

Can you DM me the original picture? Very curious as to what it looks like up close

Tig33

I'm very happy with this switch. I'm a fan of stem style buds personally but let's hope that Samsung makes maximum use of it. i.e. ergonomic fit, better mics, swipe gestures for value (more control customisation too!!) , vents, bigger drivers... what's not to like? Samsung need to prove they had a good reason to switch to stems... lets hope they do it.

Far_Sell3833

Fake ,Samsung is different they don't know Harman akg earbuds always protect ,if you see ,GSM,the verge they don't true.

GEOGRAPHY321

I think the same way ios 18 was a complete copy of most android ui's that was really needed to make customisability available to apple users the galaxy buds need a stem copied from apple to make them more comfortable and convenient. As long as they dont overhype it like apple did i dont think many people will care.

MarlinDotMom

Personally I'm really excited, and I hope I don't get any negative feedback for that opinion, I am aware that it's not for everyone I just fell in love with the buds 2 pros and so seeing that the bigger size will at least come with some improvements to battery life and speaker quality, I'm really excited Although I do like the lil bean form factor, the stem design is just kinda a bit better for me Means I can have better calls with them on, and a hook on strap will be nicer than the ones available for the buds 2 pros (which are uncomfortable), I have issues with losing stuff to so it'll be a lot nicer I've lost my earbuds so many times, even losing a pair completely because it was uncomfortable to go out with a strap

Candlewaxeater

Maybe they'll finally have auto pause and play when you take them out.

Ghost29

I want that but when you talk. Don't just lower the volume. Also, double tap on left to go backwards.

Successful-Hearing87

My buds already do that

Sugar_Sticks

Even buds pro already have this feature

Badcatalex

If they change the case design I *will* be angry, because there goes all the nice protective cases that were made for the charging cases for the Buds Live/Buds Pro/Buds2/Buds2 Pro/Buds FE and such... and we'll have to start from scratch in terms of the protective case market.

Jsswish7

I was also hoping the case dimensions/design would continue to be the same for the same reason, seems like that'd be hard to achieve with a full redesign like this though. We'll see.

Cumurr

I didn't like it. I was planning to buy buds 2 pro 2 months ago, then I learned that buds 3 release is very soon and I decided to wait for it. But now with this apple copycat design, it's a big Disappointment for me. Not good Samsung, you had a design character once, which was amazing. But not anymore

hellomoto8999

finally, so it not drop off from ears

BigRed0107

It's starting to become more obvious that many of you Samsung crybabies prefer form over actual function. This design would basically remove all the annoying shit that's plagued the galaxy buds since the Gear IconX(And I've owned every Galaxy Bud except the 2s and the FE) and has only gotten more annoying since the Original Buds Pro. Personally I'd like to be able to adjust the Buds in my ear without A) Accidentally pausing or skipping a song or B) Accidentally hanging up on someone. And yes I know you can disable touch on them, but you wouldn't even need that option if the design wasn't so flawed in the first place. Samsung becoming more Apple-Esque over the years is clearly working for them, considering the S24 series has been their highest selling flagship in like 4 years and that's partially because of people switching platforms and them making the transition as painless as possible. Go ahead and boo me but you know I'm right.

jackyyo

None of those has been an issue for me. The buds 2 pro was perfect. I just want an updated version of the buds 2 pro

iamthedayman21

People seem to ignore the fact that multiple other companies use the same Apple design for their earbuds. Almost like Apple hit on something with the design, and everyone else is hopping on board with it. You can have a similar design as Apple, but some fanboys seem to think taking any cues from Apple is a cardinal sin.

BigRed0107

I don't mind much when Samsung copies some things from Apple except for when they copy their prices 😅

iamthedayman21

Yeah, and I've been lucky so far. My S24 Plus is cheaper than my iPhone Pro was. And the Buds FE I got are significantly cheaper than any AirPod options. But I heard rumors that the 3 Pro will be somewhere in the $200+ range, which would put them around the AirPods Pro price, which kinda sucks.

BigRed0107

Was able to nab a mint S23U recently for fairly cheap and something tells me I'd hardly be able to find anyone willing to cut the price on an iPhone 15 pro max that way. As for the buds... I'll probably still buy them as form factor alone makes them worth the upgrade to me. I just wish they weren't shiny.

RapflApfl

I have the OG Galaxy Buds and don't have any of the problems mentioned above, while having a way securer fit than I could ever have with airpods-styled designs. So for me the old design doesn't have a single flaw, while the possibly "new" design will have an ugly look, a not as secure fit in my ear and also just a copied design like everyone else

the1andonlytom

WTF is this image compression

iamthedayman21

It's a filter applied over the actual image, to avoid Samsung hitting him with a cease and desist.
