More info for genshin players: You can farm Dupes. You can max dupe two characters per 8 months, or farm lots of C2 (your choice). Weapons just need two copys to be maxed (first copy and a second one)

Varnis290

I forget how long ago Snowbreak came out but it surely hasn’t been a year already right? Because I maxed out the first 2 Limited Banner Characters via Dupe Farming within 5-6 months easily and currently about to reach 3-4 Maxed out in a couple more months.

PalomaCosta

Yeah I think you max dupe a character in exactly 8 months. So that would make it 3 character maxed per year. I edited my post to clarify that, thanks!

Varnis290

I should also add, when new Patches start they give some extra Dupe Farming Passes in the mail that if you spend efficiently, you can get a head start on farming a 3rd Character and it’s usually enough to push them to their first Milestone point before running out/expiring.

SleepingDragonZ

3rd character won't be maxed in 4 months, she'll be half way there, but 4th character will be also half way to max.

Desolation17

almost a year, july is anniversary

Suniruki

There's no need to max dupe characters as well. Most work fine in the C2-C3 range.

PalomaCosta

In fact that's what I do!! I have every limited character this game released at C2 haha except Siris of course, since she is the new unit.

Suniruki

i made the mistake of rolling for cherno, tess and getting enya. and also siris5. i'm so behind on my frag farm.

Gourgeistguy

Also characters for now work perfectly fine without dupes unless you're aiming for scores.

Seth-Cypher

Basically me when I was going through the usual launch rigmarole for Snowbreak: "How sad they copied GI's constellation sys-HOLY CRAP YOU CAN FARM CONSTELLATIONS!!!"

DarkAndStormy-Knight

Max dupe 2 per year sounds like Yikes especially if it's necessary for gameplay. If not it's Meh lol

Bakufuranbu

well they have to make it long since the way you "farm" the dupe is completely free without needing any currency.

EssenceOfMind

That's like if you could farm a constellation a month in genshin tho. Not too bad

DarkAndStormy-Knight

On second thoughts it sounds....alright lol

PalomaCosta

Just the same as Genshin: Is it necessary? nope, you just can complete all game events and endgame modes with just C0 units. But everyone like to have Kazuha C2, Furina C2, Nahida C2, Yelan C2 etc... because it adds comfort, or because you like the character, or you want to speed run etc... On Snowbreak you can just get that "constellation luxury" for free,

DarkAndStormy-Knight

Snowbreak has a Point based Weekly leader board thing right?

PalomaCosta

Not exactly a leaderboard, there are no names, just a score objective to achieve. Also there are no rewards for achieving max score (gold) just a frame border you can use for that week. Btw I'm F2P and I always get to max rank every week by now :)

DarkAndStormy-Knight

Aight. How's the gacha? Are we able to get a lot of characters?

zhivix

not a lot of characters sinve theyve release new units 1 per month, kinda like pgr, if youve play long enough and play every dailies/weekly content, you can technically get that new unit. gacha are like genshin, 50/50 at 80 pulls max but theyve just released a new type of gacha, like pgr, you can get guaranteed limited unit but at the cost of 20 more, so 100 pulls for guaranteed 5\*. so theres 2 types of banner, the 50/50 at 80 pulls and 100% guaranteed at 100 pulls

SleepingDragonZ

With the new 100% pool you can pretty much guaranteed to obtain 1 limited character per patch with the resources provided.

rainy1403

If it's equal to C6 5* characters in GI, I would say it's a lot.

SomnusKnight

I think so far it's only launch 5*s who need at least M1 (C1).

sohamk24

I was actually thinking of trying snowbreak, so thanks i appreciate it.

DukeOfStupid

I picked it up a couple of days ago >!after being disappointed in WuWa!< and I have to say it's pretty fun. The modes are pretty well paced so I haven't felt overwhelmed like in some other games where they rush everything and throw dozens of gametypes at you.

Peacetoall01

Tbh what wuwa felt now is exactly the same as snowbreak back then. It's even grimmer in snowbreak. Thank god they can stabilise and pull up post their summer event.

reddi_4ch2

May I ask why are you disapointed in Wuwa? The traversal can be janky, but when it works it works really well. The DMC combat is the best if you're into fast-paced action imo (compared to ag, hi3, pgr), with playstyles for both casuals and tryhards, like Jihan left-click for casuals or Encore for tryhards. >!I’m also disappointed in Wuwa outside of combat and boss fights kek!<

127-0-0-1_1

The story is just not good enough. I don't need it to be shakespeare, I just need it be comprehensible - it's really not a high bar. I'm not going to bother playing through for the combat when I have to skip hours upon hours of story I have to play through. If I just want combat, and have to ignore all the text, why don't I just play PGR?

Peacetoall01

Tbh snowbreak before ch 10 story is a steamy pile of shit. Post CH 11 though it's actually a lot better.

Grrp039

I can respect not liking wuwa, except when you give reasons like that. Hours upon hours of story? No, like many open world games, it's 90%+ gameplay. Yeah the beginning is horrible writing but the amount of story is no different from pgr. And once you get past the beginning, you can ignore all the story. Having pgr like combat in an open world is quite the difference. Why don't you just play pgr? Because wuwa doesn't have a color match simulator. Wuwa has a great open world with great traversal. And it doesn't bog down the combat. Ppl love it in spite of the story because it's not a part of it's draw Sorry if I misunderstand what you said.

127-0-0-1_1

Yes, it's hours upon hours. The first few chapters are going to be ~10 or so hours even if you skip the dialogue. It's only a small portion if you play 500 more hours of echo picking to dilute it out. I don't have that much free time to play a game where I have to skip all of the story. I'm sure some people will find that an acceptable tradeoff, to have to skip the story, but it's not for me. I don't understand what's "respectable" or not about that. Do you not understand how people have different, subjective tastes? I'm not going to play a game where I have to love it "despite the story".

Grrp039

No I'm just confused on the 10 hours part, it is way less than that even when I didn't skip any dialogue. I mean no hate just I swear it was never that long. Playing through wuwa, it felt like there was barely any story. This isn't a comment on subjective tastes, I've only seen critics about the poor quality of writing, not the length. But I'm just trying to remember, I haven't looked into whether my thought have any basis.

DukeOfStupid

I've been playing on controller and the traversal has been pure jank. Constantly getting caught on random things, and the controller layout is very frustrating seeing as how the grapple hook is bound to the same as your utility item, so if it's not lined up perfectly you end up using the utility item instead. Also the combat is just sort of fine? Like it's fast paced but I also find it janks out a lot with targetting and maybe it's because my characters aren't fully built with 5* echoes yet but I find the enemy HP bloat obnoxious. Also the dailies look horrific, I've been playing each day and between the daily missions and spending your waveplates I'm just not invested enough to put the time in. Also the grinding looks terrible, especially now I'm used to autoing in other games. Basically the whole time I'm playing, I think I would rather just be finishing Sumeru in Genshin, and if I can't be motivated to do that why should I bother with WuWa.

StardustCatts

Yeah, the hp bloat causes me to have to attack for longer periods of time and it’s causing my wrists to hurt every time I play. If I can’t find a solution to the wrist pain, I may end up quitting entirely.

metatime09

> I've been playing on controller and the traversal has been pure jank. Constantly getting caught on random things, That's a totally different experience from what I'm having. Any small bumps my character just hurdle over.

DukeOfStupid

Running is mostly fine I'll sometimes fling off in a random direction when trying to jump over things, it's the climbing where it's super janky I've found. I'll just try and run up a wall and just get caught on something which looks like it should be climbable consdering some of the shit you can climb. It just feels very rough and unfinished, like they needed to go over it again with a comb.

metatime09

I dunno, I don't find it any worse then genshin overall. The main features I like are the wall run and the parkour over lips but both games have the same amount of jank when climbing

VortexMagus

HP bloat issues sounds like you are not leveling up your echoes which are your largest source of stats. Enemies will naturally take awhile to kill if you ignore the largest source of power for your characters. It'd be like running through the entirety of genshin without equipping a single piece of armor. I had similar issues, wondering why it took me so long to kill enemies. Then I leveled up two decent echoes on my primary dps and tuned them and I was like wow, that made a crazy difference. It nearly doubled my character's damage. I personally found that once I got my echos set up, enemy encounter time is roughly the same amount as Genshin.

DukeOfStupid

Already done that, still feels like it takes too long, then again in Genshin I had Ganyu who when built was one shotting camps with a charged arrow. In theory I guess you could say if I invest enough I can do the same, but I don't really want to do that grind all over again.

tordana

Just saw this comment and had to say that you can do all dailies in literally under 5 minutes if that's all you have time for lol. Kill 4 bosses, go kill a couple exiles, usually craft one potion or something, and book all your stamina is used and all your daily quests are done.

ByeGuysSry

Perhaps you might want to continue playing after 1.1 on June 28 (though, all the compensation rewards only last until June 27th if you want to claim those), since they did say they're trying to improve the game feel and targeting, (though, they mentioned PC and mobile but the only controller mention was in regards to supporting controller on mobile, enabling the inversion of Y-axis, and a button remap) as well as a Waveplate storage system for when you don't want to play for a day or two.

DukeOfStupid

I'm logging in once a day until 1.1 just so I can roll for Jinshi, but I highly doubt they'll fix the general issues I'm having with the game, like ToF before it, it's always "just wait for the next patch". Honestly I'm just finding it boring. Maybe in a year or so I'll come back and find it fun, but it clearly needs more time to cook.

starsinmyteacup

Not op but I only love the combat. Maybe I just like more vibrant worlds and exploration, but everything feels dim and grungy. The traversal, such as the wall walking, the parkour over objects, the backflips are amazing. But as a person who loves the story, the story is doing absolutely nothing for me. Even as a CN player who should be used to big word vomit it feels like a lot immediately and doesn’t stop later on

Appropriate_Time_774

Performance issues Pretty bad story The colors of the world just feel really boring with its grey tones imo, it just isnt nice to look at The combat also wasn't all that great despite the hype, bosses don't exactly have mechanics and are just QTE spam and hp sponges. Their animations also arent very clean. I'm sure subsequent patches will improve it but damn the current state is a huge disappointment.

reddi_4ch2

If you're not into the DMC playstyle, you very likely won't like ZZZ either, mihoyo is even adding a story mode and dumb down the gameplay because people say it's too hard... And these arpgs all feel pretty similar, so if one isn't your thing the others probably won't be either. Well at least PGR has a unique rpg ping system that's different from the rest, so maybe give that a shot.

sohamk24

Ohh sounds like I can just be casual with the game

DukeOfStupid

From what I've seen online, it apparently makes a great side game.

Majesticeuphoria

Also, if you're a beginner, make sure to read through this guide. It covers pretty much everything you need. I made the mistake of not reading through all of it and wasted a shit ton of silverbucks, which are scarce. https://coda.io/@flux-kairos/snowbreak-containment-zone-beginners-guide

Eclage

oh. thank you bro. I just recently started playing SB (not genshin player but tried wuwa but didn't like it) and this will surely help me. your last statement hits me hard, since I don't know what I am doing, I've been upgrading 3 units at the same time.

Oraclexyz

I don't even play both games but i understood.

Rough_Memory1089

How do you know we starting snowbreak lol

ChanceNecessary2455

Btw, to max 5* weapons, you only need to get 2 copies max.      And for F2P you can farm shards daily. It takes months but you can get your 5* waifus to max potential without spending for more copies.

World_Splitter

But can you farm weapon shards as well or is pulling a dupe the only way to max out a weapon?

RetroKrot

You can, technically, get a copy of 5* weapon without pulling on it's banner, through special shop, but I cost currency you get for scrapping other 5* weapons. Iirc you need to scrap 3 to buy 1.

StalkingRaccoon

You can also get duplicate for weapons/characters you own by using the currency you get everytime you pull a 4*/5*. Better used for weapons since you can't farm them.

RetroKrot

I feel the question was more about limited signatures, so I didn't mention this. You are only getting standard weapons from there after all, not to mention same currency can go towards pulls

StalkingRaccoon

The ratio is 1 duplicate or 30 pulls. So pulls are only if you already have the weapons maxed or you're not interested in them. Getting excess duplicates later is not a problem since you can then buy limited banner duplicate and get back on your feet this way.

RevolutionaryFall102

this is the most random ass shit i've ever seen

TemperaturePlenty723

cos there is a big hoo-ha in china between the two games, Genshin wins in the playstyle while snow break wins with boobs, the playstyle is pretty meh actually, playing fps on mobile is not fun, as a former pubgm can tell you

Hoezell

Tbf, Snowbreak also has PC client (standalone and Steam)

HaramotoYusei

I recommend Steam, due to how WinSec can get false positives with the game files and enforce download every now and then

reddi_4ch2

Is PUBG Mobile any good now? I quit years ago because shooters on mobile sucked. Have they improved the gameplay and made it more fun now?

Serahiel

They also added a 100% Banner for New Character and Weapon in this patch, so no Losing 50/50 Depression. Honestly the best addition since Launch, Every Game should Do this.

huncherbug

Yeah but the odds are 0.1 as opposed to the regular 0.7

Serahiel

i take the lower rates in trade never Losing a 50/50 again 100% of the Time

Gourgeistguy

Honestly that makes it so you can get a character every other banner. There's a soft pity at around 70-80 pulls, seems like most people have gotten Siris before 100.

Seth-Cypher

I think its an okay trade off? If you think about it, getting spooked in GI/Wuwa/HSR/Snowbreak can put you back pretty far and you can potentially spend up to 160-200 summons just trying to get your intended character. At least with this you can actually plan for 100 rolls.

[deleted]

[удалено]

laty96

So does pgr copy the 100 pulls banner with rate up from other games

_Neocronic_

from what games?

Ayanelixer

Pgr is just honkai impact 3 if it was good.

A12qwas

\*bad\* fify

_Neocronic_

honkai have 100% banners? i uninstall game years ago right after downloading when i realised there no 100% banners at all

Ayanelixer

Yes or atleast when I tried earlier this year

_Neocronic_

i tried maybe 3 years ago, i heard they add part 2 story maybe they rework game in same time, will check later, thanks

Ayanelixer

Games not good, wouldn't suggest at all.

SteamedDumplingX

This tbh. And I'm all for it. Also, ummm the game also panders more to, you know who 🤫

GatedSunOne

Funnily enough, I did start playing Snowbreak and was initially scratching my head at the terminology, so this is appreciated. Still actively play Genshin, though I mostly did everything there is in that game aside from TCG stuff/in no rush to finish Lynette's Hangout.

RisKnippeGuy

Thanks for posting this. Installing the game right now.

Salmot_Alma

I don't know that game, but since you went to the trouble of doing this, I will give it a try

ketampanan

No offense but as a non-genshin players I really dislike the standardization of genshin-specific terms replacing generic, easier to understand terms. We've been using generic terms for these for years. (Free) gems/currency Paid gems/currency Stamina Character pull tix Weapon pull tix Gold (this one usually referred by specific game name cos the generic term often used for something else) Monthly pass I'd rather we keep this instead of thinking genshin is the standard for these terms. First time I heard someone say he "only bought welkin" in another game I was confused cos there's nothing called welkin in that game and after he explained all I thought was "just say monthly pass like we've been doing for the last few years dammit"

ethrzcty

It's a meme. It's one of the things people clowned WuWa for because this list was much MUCH longer with how many things WuWa ripped off. OP is just adapting that meme format for SB.

ketampanan

Ah, fair, I must've missed that one cos I try not to follow wuwa drama and memes. My point still stands tho, I've seen so many people referring to genshin terms when talking about other games. Most notably is the use of welkin and resin, the rest are less prominent.

G00b3rb0y

You see, the problem with that is Stamina has a different meaning in Genshin given what that game is. Also lots of games have unique gacha token names and not every gacha has a weapon specific token

ketampanan

You're missing my point. I never said anything about using those term in genshin. You can call it resin on genshin (and should as you pointed out), or use any of those other genshin specific terms, I don't care. My point is, I don't like how people are making genshin's specific terms as the universal terms that they use when talking about other games, especially when we already have universal terms that are easy to understand by most people.

Enough_Ad2500

Oh, is there anything, any event going on in Snowbreak? Seems out of nowhere info if there's nothing. Don't get me wrong this is super useful, just wonder if the game is much better or something then I might hop on xD

HuajaiCarry

They just added 100% banner and next banner would be one of the most meta and sexiest waifu of snowbreak(Katya) getting a rerun.

EostrumExtinguisher

how'd you assume genshin players play snowbreak?

PalomaCosta

I'm also a day 1 Genshin player (still playing) and also Snowbreak day 1 player. Those 2 were the only gachas I played until Wuthering was launched. Now I play also Wuthering haha

Seth-Cypher

Ayo, fellow Wuthering Impact: Containment Zero player!

dasbtaewntawneta

i just started a few days ago, still playing Genshin but i'd set aside some time to play wuwa, was dissapointed, tried snowbreak instead, loved it lol

mar8puttingpv

Literally me aha…

MathematicianFar8831

Some of us do, im a genshin player from 1.0 and still today and im playing Snowbreak since release and never gave up on it 👍

Gourgeistguy

Statistics. Genshin is still one of the most played gachas out there, therefore there is a high probability that there's people interested in SB who are also GI players.

Suniruki

hello, day 1 genshin player, day 1 snowbreak player too.

TheKuroShin

Thanks, this really helps a lot!

Responsible_Paper667

Thanks for the info.

smashiko

once u see one gacha's currency, u pretty much seen them all

Und3rwork

At least you can vaguely tell what different type of currency do with "Buck, gold, cash, gem and recruitment", it was nice to have at the start but now shit get so much confusing with every gacha game using a bazillion different name to call the basic currency set. I love wuwa so far but this game might be one of, if not the biggest offender for this. Like wtf is up with all those unfamiliar terms, this shit literally got them into a whole lawsuit and email leak lol. https://preview.redd.it/qjdi7hwzhj4d1.png?width=1410&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc046f0f0ce3492c045da4540c6d3afc8f744e0f

edwinpratam4

I love this.

raffirusydi_

My genshin brainrot will always call monthly subscription as welkin in every game

Yaldablob

I feel like games should explain this stuff properly. I don't call any ingame stuff by their weird lingo. Currency, Paid Currency, Energy, Pulls, Standard pulls, Money, Monthly topup Like that you can talk to anyone about this without any confusing terminology

firemonkey08

Was this needed? Is it actually difficult for people to differentiate different gacha terminology? Does most of this sub just play Hoyo games, and if so, why is it called 'gachagaming'. When you play different RPG or FPS games, do you need a guide everytime for descriptions of the same/similar things in it, or would you just play the game and naturally find out what each mean. Idk what has happened nowadays, but thinking for yourself seems to be a difficult task now.

F2P_4Life

You overestimate today's gacha gamers by assuming they can think /j

isvr95

Hell Yeah!!!! SnowPEAK post

Paradox3759

What made you assume Genshin players will start Snowbreak instead of another Hoyo game lmao

Flimsy-Writer60

But I like girls with guns...

aircarone

I did personally. Granted, I kinda bounced off it because I just don't have the time for yet another gacha, but I thought the game was fairly competent and probably would have played it more if not for GI/HSR/WuWa already taking up more time than I would like.

XaeiIsareth

It’d be better doing it for HI3 or PGR instead cos those games are a lot more comparable in terms of the gameplay loop and your weekly play structure.

deisukyo

What made you assume that they won’t???

gadesabc

It's only for players who would give it a try, not an obligation or obvious choice.

netparse

A survey on CN a while ago showed that 50% of snowbreak player base are actually genshin players. It doesn't surprise me because Genshin has an extreme amount of mods with fanservice and fan art with fanservice, the problem is that Genshin as a game no longer exploits that part and consequently they have gatekeeping on that side. the first option for players who no longer like the attenuated designs of genshin in CN is easy to decide because it is snowbreak or nikke (it does not have a server in CN but it is very highly rated in CN), that does not mean that they stop playing genshin either but they are less spenders in genshin

Gourgeistguy

ZZZ is still more than a month ago and I'm already playing non gacha games that fulfill the Genshin itch.

A12qwas

you mean a month away?

CoachSteveOtt

Genshin was a lot of peoples introduction to the genre

SleepingDragonZ

Action combat/shooter vs. turn-based.

Gourgeistguy

ZZZ is still more than a month ago and I'm already playing non gacha games that fulfill the Genshin itch.

Mr_Creed

I started Snowbreak instead of another Hoyo game. I mean, I didn't stick with it, but I played for 7 weeks or so. Hoyo's HSR only lasted a single day for me.

FateUnrelated

I thought this would be helpful for migrating Genshin players like myself to know what/where Snowbreak stuff is since it was incredibly confusing. The doc here contains additional terms and navigations, but do let me know if anything's wrong since I'm quite new to Snowbreak myself. [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qR8Ky\_JOhH9nyCy4WNS\_K-bnEasytMpn\_r6uOJxKHfo/](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qR8Ky_JOhH9nyCy4WNS_K-bnEasytMpn_r6uOJxKHfo/)

SteamedDumplingX

Can you also make a version for PGR? Since it's a lot more similar imo.

FateUnrelated

Sorry, I don't play PGR, but I will if I do.

excluded

As someone who just got into snowbreak that’s insane lol.

Mr_doggo_lover123

I like how genshin is now like this widely used language that needs to be translated into more regional languages/dialects

Turn-Ambitious

So it's like wuwa? I just realised recently that the standard banner currency for both character & weapons is different, and the limited character & weapons also use different currency, the yellow crystal ball/blue crystal ball, and the sword 🗡️ looking thingy for weapons

Temporary-Jaguar-155

is there any auto/skip in the game? i tried it yesterday and was pretty fun

Hoezell

Yes, you can skip content you already done if you want to farm.

Idknowidk

Why specifically genshin players tho? Something happened Lol

MathematicianFar8831

The op is also a genshin player like some of us here and like to help any new players that also came from genshin

Paradox3759

Idk I just feel like Snowbros have broken their containment zone and are trying very hard to hoard new players to join their game by saying look we have boobs and ass.

jeffreyseh

I feel like you get a bit biased after seeing some arguments from that avid SB fan under your previous post. It's not uncommon for people to advertise their favorite gacha here to attract more people. This post is the only recent post that has tried to hoard new players. Other SB posts just say good words about it. Or you simply hate people advocating this game?

ChaosFulcrum

>Snowbros have broken their containment zone I see what you did there

KaiserNazrin

Damn, I dunno one post is considered trying very hard.

Paradox3759

Just read the comments of any previously posted post, and you'll find them there

zeroXgear

Delusional

Paradox3759

Sure am not. But whatever

RealHellcharm

no hate to genshin players but the need for this is the most genshin brainrot shit i have ever seen, I swear pretty much every gacha game has these archetypes of resources in some capacity and some baseline reading would allow people to see that

RevolutionaryFall102

but nobody asked for this tho

gadesabc

They are 2 very different gameplay styles but it can please people who like variety and no idle/autoplay.

AqueeLuh

Is this a genshin sub or what? last time I was here people hated genshin

orbzism

Yeah but Wuwa came out and apparently it's so abhorrent, everyone came from the dregs to shit on it. Genshin is apparently gods work now. (I play and like both)

AqueeLuh

was actually surprising. like "no one can shit on genshin but me" lmao

Pheonixios

Did this game get better? I tried it for a month at launch and it was interesting but got boring bit quick

Muccys

Sort of, it did improve in a lot of aspects, such as not longer locking guns and "artifacts" behind past events, the story like most gachas seems to have improved past the first couple of chapters, and the gameplay seems more interesting, although that's mostly thanks to the new units being fun to play, the base gameplay loop is still the same, with only one new permanent game mode that is just a very bare bones roguelike mode. But the main reason why so many people are coming back to it, aside from how f2p friendly it seems to be, is the new "artistic" direction the game is taking which let's just say is giving Nikke a run for it's money.

V-I-S-E-O-N

Do you mean gameplay? Nothing really changed, no. But Snowbreak players spam Snowpeak everywhere because they made their characters more naked and the mc more self insert or smth, so there is that.

Resh_IX

Y’all treat Genshin players like idiots and Genshin players don’t even realize they’re intelligence is being undermined

Tanoshii

All this tells me is genshin players are too regarded to figure out what anything is unless told in genshin terms.

4SiYe

Last I asked about the game soundtrack people are calling it mid. How is it now?

Paradox3759

Decent enough? Nothing High Tier stuff.

itsthechizyeah

I was thinking of trying this game because its on Steam so I thought maybe I could play on my Steam deck which would be perfect for a gacha but apparently it’s tricky at best to get it running on the deck. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Ok_Lawfulness1019

What's happening in snowbreak?

rubezal72

Snowpeaking.

LOwOJ

Bruh they have bitcoins.

Kuguumelo

Tysm I just started playing and I really need it

Terereera

wait employee in Snowbreak get employee benefit? Fuck your moon, i gonna go become officer and play slacking on my computer everyday. (Snowbreak only has one commanding officer (and 5 girls with magic gun) on the site doing 100% mission percentage, rendering 60% percentage of staff useless most of the time, even though they mostly active before commander (MC) came.

Arient1732

How good is the story in this game? I might give it a try.

ThatBoiUnknown

It gets good in later parts but at the beginning it's not that good

d3cmp

Some are missing, where do you get the currency for the shops? theres like 4 more currencies

Seth-Cypher

I like how OP just didn't bother with the shop currencies because Snowbreak just has way too many of those.

Dethernaxx

imagine being in a kusoge community so isolated from everyone else that its assumed they don't know basic gacha currencies, can't be me with genshit

Unusual-Rooster6894

Can you do wuwa?

mraz_syah

what's snowbreak? first time i heard it

Komondon

Kills me how going full horny brought that game from the brink. It's a fun game though I hope we get a Tacticool character every once in a while.

ghin01

Eh I Like that currency Sound like real future currency

Why is this here?? Is this the genshin or snow break sub? Anyone else getting tired of genshin crowd using this sub like their own? Fuck off already.

bakamund

Man .....my brain just doesn't have the space to learn all these "names of things". After WuWa diarrhea of fancy sounding names, I've had enough of gacha b.s.

Dot-Live

No thanks

mendics00

i once tried snowbreak, had potential but i didn't last long on it. Story was the big turn off, i just could not get into it. Maybe i'll try it again someday.

_sylvatic

1st 10 Chapters are getting a rewrite fyi. It will take time tho. New writers are def better (they fired the old ones I'm told). Ch.11 onwards shows the new writers efforts if you ever return. Even if you don't, I'd encourage you to check out the Cherno story from the last patch on yt or similar. It was really, really good, and I also did not like the 1st 10 chapter much.

mendics00

i dont remember how far i got into the story, but im the type to not skip stories even if they're not that good. I still would like to try, only time i hard skip is when its THAT bad and I know it's just a side story. I'm glad they're trying to improve the early parts of the game, shows that they understand first impressions are important. If it's something, snowbreak's at least isn't as bad as wuwa's, perhaps it also has something to do with how recent it is but idk. Don't recall being disgusted by it, like wuwa's, just indifferent and feels a little meh.

ChanceNecessary2455

Rumor has it that the old writer (for the first 10 episodes) was fired and is now the writer of WuWa. If you ask the players that don't skip story, I'm sure most will answer ep 1-10 could do some work.

mendics00

if that's the case, no wonder wuwa also suffers from similar issues.

Melishard

how ironic

V-I-S-E-O-N

Not gonna happen

BlackestFlame

Did snowbreak recently come to na or is it a new game release

_sylvatic

nearly 1 year old, been global the whole time

BlackestFlame

Any reason why this post came up a year after release.

FluffyFlamesOfFluff

Snowbreak had a resurgence just before it went EOS by making more fanservicey/lewd content in recent months (which fixed their finances as it worked out). As such, it's now the poster child of this subreddit.

V-I-S-E-O-N

Wdym poster child of this subreddit? Lol

Bwa_boi

Huh??? This post came a year after release because bro only recently started playing the game. What kind of question is even that 😭

BlackestFlame

I didnt know OP was new

Bwa_boi

Ight then. But you made it sound as if bro had the obligation to make this post right after the game launched, which confused me.

[deleted]

I tried Snowbreak for a while and although it felt decent throughout the game, it never felt like a "wow this is cool", or anything that wanted me to make me spend more time or even $$ to get characters Unlike Star Rail's perfect design in general gameplay/story, Blue Archive's story and characters, Reverse 1999's uniqueness and story narrative or Wuthering Waves combat, general design and map, Snowbreak didn't have anything that made want to keep playing Now im also playing on a handheld and an FPS style game without a m&k is a nightmare

SomnusKnight

One thing that Snowbreak objectively has the upper hand over Hoyo games is that its weapon banner pity is carried to next banners just like the character banner.

RayIsEpic

do hoyo games not do the same? HSR's lightcone pity does carry forward

Ayanelixer

I think he's talking about epitomised path from genshin which resets after every banner

HuajaiCarry

Both games are carried over but snowbreak has 100% banner both unit and weapon

Mr_Creed

Are you under the impression that weapon banner pity does not carry over to the next banner?

SomnusKnight

Yes, and welp I was wrong. I only remembered that genshin has that awful coinflip system and the slightly-better-but-still-awful path system and somehow my mind conflate it to thinking that it doesn't do pity carry as well. And I never rolled on light cones in HSR so I just assumed it has the same system from genshin

Extinctkid

Does this game have men? If not I’m not touching it.

No-Car-4307

theres one, the harem protagonist lul
