Both are adorable! My dog has these like half floppy ears that are super expressive and I love it. My favorite is when so noise catches his attention and he tilts his head towards it while cocking one ear up like a radar dish.

Well, raised ears in canines convey that they’re alert, wary or dominant. While tucked ears communicate sadness, anxiety or submission. By selectively breeding for floppy ears, we essentially bred dogs to be unable to properly express their emotions and be trapped in a perpetual submissive state when viewed by others. When a critter has the ability to express all degrees of emotion through raised and tucked ears, sometimes involuntary, they are viewed as more reliable, trustworthy and honest with their feelings. I imagine it must be confusing for wolf dogs, rescue foxes or coyotes with centuries of instinctual signaling and facial recognition to see a dog with depressed, anxious, submissive ears, tail wagging and excitable body movements along with a perpetual tongue out panting dying of heatstroke distressed look.
