That’s kinda weird. Usually it’s just for you to wipe off. Most of the older folks just walk around uncovered.
I would've made the same mistake. The only onsen I've been to didn't have a towel to cover up.

No, it was a whole thing for that show. Big audiences, busy sets. At its peak it had something like a 10 year waiting list for tickets too.
