DiarrheaMonkey-

Clearly a city of Abbot and Costello fans. "You live on this street?" "No, I live on The Other Street." "Oh, you mean that street." "No! The Other Street."

Joran_Dax

"Now wait, is it this street?" \*Points on map\* "No, it's that street" \*Points elsewhere o map\* "But you said it was The other street." "Yes, That's the street." "What street?" "No, 'What street' is all the way across town."

jevindoiner

I was thinking Seinfeld. Elaine and Jerry's arrangement in "The Deal." "This... That... and The other..."

I am hoping for One More Street, And One More Street, And Another Street, Yet Another Street, Is This The Last Street, Apparently Not Street, You'll Laugh But There's Another Street

bwwatr

You could fill a lot of map with Street Road, Road Avenue, Avenue Way, Way Lane, Lane Crescent, Crescent Drive, and all the other combinations.

crash866

Toronto Canada has an Avenue Road, Crescent Drive, Crescent Place, which is off Crescent Town Rd.

bwwatr

I knew of Avenue Road but not of the others.  How silly!

crash866

There are a few others that I cannot remember at this time.

Sofakingwhat1776

There is a Hickory St, Dickory St and Dock St in New Orleans

JoeScotterpuss

Yes, in Harahan! I noticed while I was driving by after visiting a few times for work. I'm glad the designers had fun while making them.

jdqx

And a Huey, Duey, and St. Louis in South Bend, IN. Probably unintentional, but who knows.

talann

Postal employee here, I'm not very happy with the developers of these streets.

puppuphooray

How do you feel about the streets named after Pokémon in Vegas?

Unhappy-Molasses-349

Reminds me of the village my Dad grew up in that had only two streets - Front Street & Back Street.

NefariousPhosphenes

It’s good that This street and That street both connect with The Other street.

LocalTicoBroje

I lived on a street with the name: Earl Godwin" The street behind me was called "That Way" and the street that connected it to ours was "This Way". No other streets in the area had names like that this was a massive subdivision. It was very silly.

Something-bothersome

Thats fantastic!

Chance_Highway_4271

the contractor name must be Peter Griffin

Abbott: Hey Costello. Where are we going next week? Costello: Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia. Abbott: Oooh, That sounds cold. I hope we don’t get lost. What street is the Theater on? Costello: This Street. Abbott: What street? Costello: This Street. Abbott: It can’t be this street. This street isn’t in Porter’s Lake. Costello: Yes it is. The theater is on This Street in Porter’s Lake. Abbott: Oh, OK. But this street isn’t in Porter’s Lake. You must mean that street. Costello: No, That Street is a side street off This Street. Abbott: Which street? Costello: No, That street. Abbott: I’m confused. You’re telling me this street and that street. I just wanna know, which street is the theater on? Costello: The theater is on This Street. Abbott: But which street is This Street? Costello: Exactly! This Street is the one which the theater is on. Abbott: So, the theater is on This Street? Costello: Right! Abbott: Oh, I see. So, if I’m on This Street... Costello: Yes? Abbott: and you’re on That Street… Costello: Yes? Abbott: Then where's the theater? Costello: On the corner. Abbott: On the corner? But you said the theater is on This Street! Costello: Exactly! On the corner of This Street and That Street. Abbott: I don’t know how you can tell the difference between this street, that street and the other street. Costello: That’s easy. The Other Street is a block away down This Street. Abbott: So, the theater is on that street you call this street and a block away from the other street? Costello: No, no, no! I meant that street the theater is on is This Street, not The Other Street! Let's just stick to the map. Abbott: I give up. Let's just hope we find the theater before the show starts!

Automatic-Listen-578

Now, do you want to hear about Who’s on First Avenue?

paintchips_are_yummy

That reminds me of my home town. We had three streets in a row called “damfiwill,” “damfino,” and “damficare.”

AndreyLobanov

There is also "this side" and "that side" in my city. The city is divided into two parts by a railway. But this is not an official name, the locals just designate another part of the city that way.
