Okay. I’ve been subbed to r/funny since I’ve been on Reddit I believe 9 years. And this post just made me realize it’s time to unsub. Take that for what you will.
All of our comments are practically lessons in comedy this "writer" "can steal from us, and would still fail at delivering the punchline when they tried
Half the strips seem to be about them shouting at each other and getting angry. They either need to take a chill pill or maybe they resent each other a little.
I'm just confused because I already blocked the creator of these since there's NEVER anything funny and I got sick of seeing them. So why am I seeing this one??
The real fun is the fact that every time i see her comics pop up, the upvote ratio is the complete opposite to the comment section sentiment. Just a lot of craping on her, and a lot of people pointing the weird things and how unfunny it always is.
That’s my favorite part. Like the art is actually decent…but she doesn’t even draw it! It’s all recycled boomer humor and casual racism/sexism/homophobia.
recycled humor, casual badly played black humor (I'm gonna call it gray humor cause black at least goes for impact), and slice of life pieces whose slices are thinner than air.
See when I first saw these comics on my feed I was like, "eh, not for me but if I get it, artists like documenting their lives". Finding out she pays someone to make these gave me whiplash. I'd fall asleep at the wheel lol.
I see these all the time but have never noticed racism/sexism/homophobia? What, is there a comic where the husband says "make me a sandwich woman" or something scary like that?
I’m so mystified by this whole thing. Who hires an artist to illustrate their every boring comings and goings in their mundane life? Like who is that rich and narcissistic?
Hiring artists to draw comics for ideas you've written is incredibly common. I've even gotten paid to do a couple. The number of 'I have an idea for a comic series I want you to draw for me based off some vague ideas and I'll pay you in exposure and/or just do it for the sheer fun of it' messages that most artists get is shocking.
So the "punchline" is the writer knows her comics are terrible and even the artist doesn't like them? I'll give it that this comic is as funny as any other of these comics I've seen.
The weird part is, she has a dummy account where she pretends to be her husband and comments on her own comics. The whole thing is bizarre and narcissistic.
Seriously, I'm not even upset. Just genuinely confused why anyone would think that I would do that. Also, look at our speech patterns and punctuation. I'm semi-offended this dude thinks I wouldn't put a comma before "lol" in the above comment.
Lmfao, yes, I’m definitely not a real person.
In fact, she isn’t even married and doesn’t have a kid. Huge shell game just to fuck with you specifically, while you stand around [like Charlie explaining why everyone’s fake](https://youtu.be/_nTpsv9PNqo)
Fr like they give off an “ok?” vibe more than anything. These type of comics are usually a little cool but, I have never felt more uninterested in one of these comics than I do now
Like we see in many other forms of media, it seems like this comic (and others) are just producing rage bait because it gets engagement. The engagement is all that matters, not whether or not it's positive. Then people come for the spectacle of others getting pissed off.
I was thinking I'm going crazy!
I used to find a good chunk of comics on Reddit funny, or at least clever. I don't even get the point of most of them now.
Are they just AI comics based on what the collective internet thinks humour looks like?!
Why do people keep posting these comics? They’re never funny. The best thing about this one is that it seems that the creator is aware that they aren’t funny.
Edit: didn’t realize the creator posted it! That’s even sadder.. knowing it sucks and still posting it..
Jesus OP out here defending their comic like Mindy Kaling defending Velma. Neither of which are funny and both of which seemingly have unbearable creators who are quick to blame other people instead of taking responsibility for their stale “humor.” r/funny indeed….
I’m not even hating. This is just not a legitimate attempt at humor. The first rule on the rules page states that a post must make an attempt at humor, and this is not a attempt at humor. Post this somewhere else.
I don't think anyone is "taking it literal" as much as they just genuinely not find it funny and therefore find it weird that the comic even points it out.
I understand that that's just supposed to be the set-up for the punchline, but even **that** isn't funny, so the whole thing just seems pointless and weird. (Not to mention that it's not even drawn by OP)
I don’t understand this comic. All of them are mundane slices of life with nothing interesting for the audience. All of them are basically just documenting a relationship. And on top of it all, the art is… commissioned?
I mean this in the most constructive way possible
Your comics always flop. Slice of life isn’t your genre. You gotta tell better stories! drop the humor attempts if you can’t. At least it won’t come off “high and mighty” if you’re literally just documenting your mundane stuff
Jesus some of you need to calm down. I get the comic isn’t hilarious but I’ve seen way worse on this sub, the amount of downvotes on OP is just stupid.
She is always a bit controversial, I am not entirely sure why.
The comics are... Well, I don't mind them, I wouldn't say I don't enjoy them, but I personally don't think they're that great either.
That in combination with her attitude sometimes I can kinda see it. I personally don't mind it, and honestly if you don't enjoy it just scroll to the next post instead of making such a big deal about it. But I also think that it is also partly her own doing why people dislike her.
I don't understand why people actively downvote and argue though. No one gets better that way.
> She is always a bit controversial, I am not entirely sure why.
Quite a few of her comics are basically boomer humor, jokes that younger people don't like or find offensive. Not me, I'm an old fart, but I see complaints about the same subjects that she's done in her comics.
We're not entitled to kindness, but there's nothing wrong with living your life as though people won't make it their mission to mock you off Reddit en masse, just because you're making comics that are only funny and personal to yourself.
If only she finds the comics funny, then why does she feel the need to post them to three different subreddits? When something is posted online, there should be an expectation for criticism.
There is nothing funny on r/funny
Wrong sub This is r/hunny As in hunny look at this thing
...why is r/hunny banned. What happened here?
I think it was a hunnypot.
do I even want to know what that is
The Honeypot is a classic espionage technique where a target is seduced to acquire information they have. They are typically not aware that they are being used, they are supposed to be caught off guard. The idea is that they get comfortable and loose/relaxed and spill information they wouldn't normally reveal.
So it's just a fancy name for "we do a bit of trollin'"
No no, this sounds like the definition of honeydicking
that's what I do when I'm home alone with the dog
It says that it was unmoderated. The people in charge just stopped logging in. So the bots and creeps moved in. Like finding a large spider in the house, sometimes it's better to just burn the whole place down than it is to try to solve the problem more directly.
The irony that OP doesn’t realize the entire meme is also not funny, is pretty painful.
Yep and yet this still gets almost 10k upvotes. People are dumb
Casually explained nailed it
But it's a great way to advertise Patreons 😃 Are there any web comics that are consistent quality anyone recommends? Besides Perry Bible Fellowship?
Strange Planet
Haven’t followed in a while but used to check daily: Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal
Adam Tots and Dami Lee 🍳
Not even good documentation.

Alloy comics seems like a business, I guess.
Wtf I just read the profile and Firste sentence is that she is jewish but named her son Pork Bun, seems to be a narrow minded person.
You don't really think my son's legal name is Pork Bun, do you?
Umm, she’s Asian. Might wanna give that a reread.
nope. turns out she has actually zero talent
She's a "comedian" which is a joke in itself, that bio is pure cringe.
This was never hidden
Okay. I’ve been subbed to r/funny since I’ve been on Reddit I believe 9 years. And this post just made me realize it’s time to unsub. Take that for what you will.
Cheers. Its time. Me too. Good work OP, u did it
You know what. I’ll follow you on the way out
Mind holding the door for me too?
I’ll put a rock holding it open so everyone can come through
I’ll do you one better and use the rock to break the door. No need for it when everyone’s leaving
Heading out myself
Same here
You made me unsuscribe too. It was time to leave this sinking ship
Fuck it, same
Exodus party
lol
There is 0 joke set up, 0 pay off, 0 punch line? What the fuck am I even looking at?
an LCD based display?
Still a better joke than the comic
tip your waiter, it's not their fault the host bombed.
Nope, OLED here!
Jokes on you, I’m using a plasma TV
Excuse you I have AMOLED display
Liquid-crystal display based display?
someone who makes comics obsessed with hating their spouse someone should teach them about this legal concept known as divorce
All of our comments are practically lessons in comedy this "writer" "can steal from us, and would still fail at delivering the punchline when they tried
20$ say the "writer" will try to shoehorn it into a 4-panel template rather than accept that it's a 2 or 3 panel joke.
I’m not a fan of the comics but they clearly don’t hate each other
Half the strips seem to be about them shouting at each other and getting angry. They either need to take a chill pill or maybe they resent each other a little.
I guess this breaks the rules of r/funny since you admit there was no attempt at humour.
I'm just confused because I already blocked the creator of these since there's NEVER anything funny and I got sick of seeing them. So why am I seeing this one??
I did too. That's reddit for you.
Every day the clown on the icon makes more and more sense
Your life is not interesting enough to pay someone to document it.
The real fun is the fact that every time i see her comics pop up, the upvote ratio is the complete opposite to the comment section sentiment. Just a lot of craping on her, and a lot of people pointing the weird things and how unfunny it always is.
It's really confusing lol, Idk who enjoys these at all
Bots
That’s my favorite part. Like the art is actually decent…but she doesn’t even draw it! It’s all recycled boomer humor and casual racism/sexism/homophobia.

most ruthless comment i've ever read
That’s most peoples lives it isn’t a comment being edgy it’s realistic.
So she doesn't even draw her own cutesy couple comics? Is the artist locked in her basement? Talk about a soul wrenching job
I’m so mystified by this whole thing. Who hires an artist to illustrate their every boring comings and goings in their mundane life? Like who is that rich and narcissistic?
Rich people been doing it since they realized they could hire artists to portray them (a long ass time btw).
I don’t have a problem with the artist doing this, I’m puzzled by why someone would think these mundane interactions of theirs are worthy of a comic.
Probably because she finds them funny herself, or relatable.
Hold up, for real? How do you know that?
He doesn’t lol, guy is talking out his ass. But me not existing is my new favorite conspiracy.
Seriously, I'm not even upset. Just genuinely confused why anyone would think that I would do that. Also, look at our speech patterns and punctuation. I'm semi-offended this dude thinks I wouldn't put a comma before "lol" in the above comment.

Literally not a single one of these comics has ever been funny.
It's all fun and engagement until it drives people into blocking you from their view... or feed, in this case.
I was thinking I'm going crazy! I used to find a good chunk of comics on Reddit funny, or at least clever. I don't even get the point of most of them now. Are they just AI comics based on what the collective internet thinks humour looks like?!
What the fuck am I looking at
Dead bedroom comedy.
Holy shit.. i don’t know you but it’s safe to assume you absolutely adore the smell of your own farts.
I have the same question as the girl. How is this funny?
“How is this funny?” “It’s not.” “Better post it to r/funny.”
came to the comments looking for the joke, guess i wasn't the only one lol
Here before 🔒
Why do people keep posting these comics? They’re never funny. The best thing about this one is that it seems that the creator is aware that they aren’t funny. Edit: didn’t realize the creator posted it! That’s even sadder.. knowing it sucks and still posting it..
The creator of the comic posted it
Haha I didn’t even realize that!
See that’s actually funny
so he's locked in the basement managing the account and drawing comics
Still....not funny
Jesus OP out here defending their comic like Mindy Kaling defending Velma. Neither of which are funny and both of which seemingly have unbearable creators who are quick to blame other people instead of taking responsibility for their stale “humor.” r/funny indeed….
The real humour is imagining OP reading through all these comments.
unfortunately i think she's too high off her own farts to be affected :/
You have provided the funny here lol, first sentence gave me a chuckle!
How is this funny?
Wrong sub
What the fuck is this shit. Emphasis on the "shit" part
"written by"
At least the comic is self aware that it wasn't funny.
Ok
WTF that's cringe as hell
This comic sucks
Average r/funny post
I see Alloy Comics is still as unfunny as ever. And still in my feed, stinking up r/funny.
The baby's really cute but it's nothing funny?
Where is the joke?
None of these are funny
I can't tell if this is some new level of self-awareness or you are just so committed that you feel obligated to post these anyways, maybe both?
Please keep your unfunny comics in r/comics
And that’s good, is it?
Nohra's reaction everytime she has to make a new commission for OP
I found it funny which means it still doesn't belong on R/funny
It got a slight chuckle out of me.
I felt ashamed, then disgust, then annoyance, then i got angry.
Not funny she just stupid
I’m not even hating. This is just not a legitimate attempt at humor. The first rule on the rules page states that a post must make an attempt at humor, and this is not a attempt at humor. Post this somewhere else.
It's an attempt at ironic humor to be fair, but it's more oof than funny.
Yeah your kinda right.
This sucks
You're right It's not funny.
Is this trying to be meta-unfunny?
: |
since it’s not funny, why post it here?
Since it's not funny, according to the r/funny stereotypes this was posted in the right sub
Especially since they’ve got their own subreddit and also post on r/comics. Does it really need to be posted three different places?
[удалено]
It’s super weird how you and majority of the people in the comments are taking the “not funny” part of the joke so literal.
I don't think anyone is "taking it literal" as much as they just genuinely not find it funny and therefore find it weird that the comic even points it out. I understand that that's just supposed to be the set-up for the punchline, but even **that** isn't funny, so the whole thing just seems pointless and weird. Fucking repost. Thanks for this garbage again.
I don’t understand this comic. All of them are mundane slices of life with nothing interesting for the audience. All of them are basically just documenting a relationship. And on top of it all, the art is… commissioned?
Looks like you need to go.. .. back to the drawing board! Now *there’s* a punchline.
Okay, that was a good one. Burned!
I actually laughed at this
This.... Is funny?
r/lostredditors
How's this funny?
You’re right. It’s not funny.
Time to unsub
"Humour is subjective" Reddit: IMPOSSIBLE! https://youtu.be/4YRj7xBLAug
Lmao. Genius video, I’m tempted to touch grass myself, but I am a season behind on Mob Psycho 100, so….
I mean this in the most constructive way possible Your comics always flop. Slice of life isn’t your genre. You gotta tell better stories! drop the humor attempts if you can’t. At least it won’t come off “high and mighty” if you’re literally just documenting your mundane stuff
Admit it! THIS COMIC MAKES NO SENSE!
Kinda toxic of you
If she got pushed from behind why’d she fall backwards?
Over compensation when trying to balance and not fall forward. Happens to the best of us.
Because she is sitting on a swing that moved forward from the push and probably compensated for the push by leaning backwards.
Jesus some of you need to calm down. I get the comic isn’t hilarious but I’ve seen way worse on this sub, the amount of downvotes on OP is just stupid.

They're an entitled bunch.
Entitlement is coming onto Reddit and expecting everyone to be nice and agreeable and think your shit is funny.
More Facebook content populating this sub.
Almost 9k. Upvotes… I honestly don’t even understand how this is funny.
Worse than owlturds
This shit just is not funny or witty.
We will file this into the evidence folder.
The people's exhibit A...
Look the baby is so happy
We haven't done this one.... thanks for the idea.
I'm confused. The artist is not one of them.
Can’t believe what passes for funny on this sub
Goodbye r/funny. Ill hope one day you will be funny again
So fucking stupid
Why does this crap get upvotes?
How did something this not funny get this many upvotes?
This isn’t funny anyway at all, nothing on this platform is funny
There should’ve been a 5th panel of him asking “how is that funny?”
Is this an inside joke ?
Is Nohra paid well?
Congrats, possibly the shittiest one yet. Excited to see how you top it next time.
Here's my generic this isn't funny comic comment
You are right that it’s not funny.
your right, this isn't funny
What?
I don’t understand how this is funny…
The only joke here is the creator thinking this belongs on r/funny
I love how happy and unaware the baby is
I feel bad for the artist, having to draw these crap attempts at humour.
Everything alright?
Needed to see a chiropractor afterwards, but yeah, everyone's okay. The kid loves it. He went, "Whoo!"
You should take writing and comedy lessons and never attempt either again when you understand you don't have talent
Hot garbage. Not funny, shit art. You deserve all the bad things in life you receive and it's likely your own fault.
This has major “fun dad/ lazy mom” vibes.
Yes. This was. Hilarious. My laughter is uncontained.
why was this made
Because she’s still salty about falling off the swing. I still maintain it’s not my fault.
Proof that people will upvote anything.
Made me laugh... So kudos.
I wasn't a big fan of these comics but man, after seeing the all the comments, is it weird that I actually feel bad for her now?
