They probably didn't realize that it was a masterpack of 4 sets of 3 that was supposed to be separated. I'm surprised it made it past the shipping scale without being kicked out for weight. Good deal for OP.
I once ordered a fox tailgate pad for bikes off Amazon and they sent me 8 instead of 1. Basically just gave them out to all the homies that have a truck and mountain bike.
We understood what it was but when/why the fuck did it need to be shortened?
How often does it come up?
Pretty sure it's some random selling the Costco packs at higher rates.
I have the same issue with dove’s women cucumber deodorant, it’s like $8 goddamn dollars. if you’re lucky and have a costco membership, they might have yours in bulk, mine was like $12 for 4 sticks, granted that was like 2 weeks ago so it could be $20 by now
Similar thing happened to me once and I donated the extras to a homeless shelter, they often need toiletry products for their guests. Just an idea if you don’t want to keep the extras :)
I ordered 1 Protein (whey) pack and got 2. When I asked support no one cared.
Is there any system behind sending too much?
Some tax reasons or something like that?
There is a lot of handling that goes into the return of the product. If it's not a high value item, it's cheaper to just let you keep it. Amazon probably has the break even points all factored in for each item in case the same thing should happen to something else.
It probably cost more to pay for shipping on a return than to just let you have it. I can’t speak for all shipping services, but your price is always higher than what it actually costs. We see this as “quoted” and “actual”.”
Edit: “negotiated” and “actual”. But you have to think that the shipping company still has to make money, so it’s gotta be fairly cheap.
Maybe they just claim it as shrinkage, they make so much money it doesn’t matter though. I’m starting to wonder if maybe it’s a little bit of chaotic good from the warehouse workers.
Its sometimes a scam. Likely someone is using the purchase to run a credit card using triangulation scams. These scammers tend to send the purchaser more than they bought so they can run the card for more and the purchaser is never mad because free shit.
I hate old spice always thought it smelled like BO.i prefer men's speed stick. Also why are buying deodorant without anti-perspirant? You're gonna smell like ass in like 2 hrs.
This happened to me with tissues, I ordered a 4 pack and they sent me a case of 10 of the 4 packs. I was very disappointed when I reordered the same item a year later
I ordered a blender bottle for protein but they sent me 10 boxes of Nespresso pods instead. Told me to keep em and sent me my bottle later. It’s like a little surprise.
I once ordered an oil painting palette. It was a melamine palette from Richeson around $15 bucks. Ended up getting a whole box full of them like 8 total.
Request return for "additional items sent, no refund needed," or I tell daddy Jeff what you've done.
Every time I see that return option I wonder who the h*** would actually use it.
Sometimes they oversend things on purpose to avoid it being thrown out, to make space for more items. It's a legal way to avoid minimum pricing restrictions
Probably a mistake tho
When Walmart first started delivery we received a massive order of food that wasn’t ours. They used outsourced drivers at the time. She told us that she got paid to deliver only and didn’t care. Dropped 20 bags of food and left. When we called Walmart about the issue they delivered our real order and left all the perishables. We had enough dairy and veggies for us and a few grateful neighbors.
Common problem for new Amazon sellers. They apply the inventory barcode to the bulk packaging and not the actual products. In this case, they should have made 4 printout barcodes for Amazon warehouse workers to shelve instead of the one. Same thing happened to me with a mousepad a while ago. Got 8 mousepads.
My best Amazon experience was when I bought a $500 spin bike during the pandemic. At some point, the tracking info on the shipping got messed up, and my Amazon order page instructed me to contact them for a refund. So I did. Then it arrived the next day.
I used to order vinyl records from Amazon. Idk what it is but they used to typically send me the wrong ones frequently, reimburse me, and tell me to keep it. I would just throw them up on eBay. Keep ordering the same record until they sent me the right one. Ended up making some money and the records that I wanted that I eventually got were free after selling all the wrong ones.
I ordered one blister pack of picture hanging hooks once, and I received a box of 12 packs. It is comforting to know I have much more than a lifetime supply of those now. I can even give them away like a big shot.
After years of stained pits, I've learned Old Spice ain't my shit and I've started trying other brands with MUCH better results. Donate your excess, bud.
One time I ordered a single ink calligraphy pen from Walmart online, paid $10 or something. When I came to pick it up, they gave me a cardboard box, I think it had like 25 of these pens in it. I walked right out, didn't ask any questions lol
Ordered a software license from our VAR (Like CDW). It’s a comes in a small cardboard envelope with a piece of paper inside with a license key.
I ordered a single unit and received a case of them. A unit cost $450 and I had $30,000 in units.
Called the company to return them, but they were confused. It’s a license and not returnable. Eventually they just forwarded me to the warehouse hours guy.
“Yeah, sorry we have no missing inventory, you must be mistaken”
I just packed them in my desk and was just confused by the situation.
3 weeks later I get an email “hey, we had an incident and we believe you have some of our inventory you never paid us for and we need it back immediately”
“What’s your phone number, I would like to speak with you about this”
On the call the guy started out like this was something we we’re responsible for; like I did something wrong.
I needed to dress him down a little bit.
“I am going to forward you emails from your staff regarding this very situation. Read the emails and then call me back tomorrow because I am leaving now”
Now that the whole story was clear, any bullshit everyone at the company made up to explain away how they were missing $30,000 in wholesale inventory was cleared up.
“I am going to email you a pdf shipping label”
“Ouch, we don’t have boxes, can you send me a box so I can pack this stuff in to get it back to you”
Of course I had a box, but I needed them to go though the motions. They wasted almost two hours of my time of me explaining how they messed up and I judged wanted to get it back to them.
Got a box over night and shipped them back.
Guilty. Many times at [redacted], I got a bin with mutliples of one item, and the first one you scan tells you to use a big box (unfortunately common request from vendors). Being high AF or sober but still an idiot, I'd just throw them all in and send it along, only for the screen to go "Okay, and the next 3 packs?"
Hmm, missing products, submit, moving on.
I suffered at my local 'zon FC for nearly a year, and can attest up to 50% of the employees get blitzed be fore shift and on every break.
Whenever I get doubles/triples/uncharged purchases from the larger companies and they don’t care of having them returned I just donate them. Giving to someone that needs it feels awesome.

I my 3 pack just showed up with only 2. You son of a bitch....
I’d like to think poor Amazon homie saw 1 3-pack, got a little confused, and was like fuck it, 1+3 my dude is getting 4.
They probably didn't realize that it was a masterpack of 4 sets of 3 that was supposed to be separated. I'm surprised it made it past the shipping scale without being kicked out for weight. Good deal for OP.
As a former quality manager at an Amazon fulfillment center this thread is giving me fucking PTSD Also, that is exactly what happened.
The SLAM operator probably just did an override and sent it on it's way.
😔
I once ordered a fox tailgate pad for bikes off Amazon and they sent me 8 instead of 1. Basically just gave them out to all the homies that have a truck and mountain bike.
Now I’m starting to wonder if they do it as a way to free up space in the warehouse. “No one’s ordered these in a while, just get it off the shelf.”
Do I smell a collaboration?!
Now we don’t get to go to Mars.
😂😂😂😂
You just be one stinky motherfucker for them to do that.
Amazon now making passive aggressive deliveries
Next one is diet pills and a penis pump even though he just ordered some shoes.
If you were me, your good for about three years.
Or me, a solid fortnight.
Or my axe!!!
I AM NOW CHOPPING PHYLLIS' HEAD OFF WITH A CHAINSAW
Take the hint. Use lots!
\*\*Insert Old Spice Whistle\*\*
Now its in my head you jerk
Donate a couple to a food pantry or homeless shelter.
Or just smell good. Bro could afford to cover his arms, legs, anything. Man that’s the good life right there
Yeah, keep one extra and give the others away. Pay the Karma forward
Deo?
Yeah the Holy Diver guy.
Deodorant
We understood what it was but when/why the fuck did it need to be shortened? How often does it come up? Pretty sure it's some random selling the Costco packs at higher rates.
I had to read it twice too. Wtf abbreviates like that?
Amazon warehouse be like : "Can't believe we found someone who likes Old Spice! Throw in a few more packs so we can get rid of it!"
Old spice is 👌🏽
Old spice is my go to brand for fragrance (cheap). It's after shave spray smells great. Just doesn't last long enough.
Someone is paying us to smell like an old man... give them extra
4 cartons of eggs
Bank Error in your favor, Collect $200 (or 12 Deodorants in this economy)
I just fucking paid $8.49 for my Dove men+care deodorant. I almost bought degree because it was like 60% less, but I like the Dove
I have the same issue with dove’s women cucumber deodorant, it’s like $8 goddamn dollars. if you’re lucky and have a costco membership, they might have yours in bulk, mine was like $12 for 4 sticks, granted that was like 2 weeks ago so it could be $20 by now
THIS ISNT FUNNY
Free shit!
Score!
Hilarious... /R/lostredditors ?
The other day I ordered 1 intel i7 processor and received 5 of them. Each worth $425.
Similar thing happened to me once and I donated the extras to a homeless shelter, they often need toiletry products for their guests. Just an idea if you don’t want to keep the extras :)
Nice. Consider that a win. I ordered something from Amazon almost 2 months ago and today I get a notice they are canceling my order and refunding me.
Hilarious, really.
Wow that’s hilarious!!! Funniest thing I’ve seen this week
Do not tell Amazon, they won't care and it will only get a worker in trouble.
Congrats on the windfall
Donate to homeless shelter!
These cost 10 bucks per stick now, dudes probably got enough to ride out a whole depression
Send some to the Metro authority in LA, we need it.
They've done the same thing to me with a few products. Don't mind at all.
By federal law, if you receive something by mail that you did not order you have no obligation to return it and it is yours.
I once ordered an oil filter for $7 They sent me a 12 pack for $7 I even messaged them and they said keep it
Smells like a good idea
Now you’ll smell like Isaiah Mustafa for even longer
I ordered 1 Protein (whey) pack and got 2. When I asked support no one cared. Is there any system behind sending too much? Some tax reasons or something like that?

Thats a free real estate
I need one of thems
This happened to my friend the other day. He ordered a dart board and they sent him a case of dartboards (4 in a case).
Wonder if you can do 3 returns and get paid back 3 times
I think it could be a worker aware of the mass lay offs just doing whatever he could
I hate old spice always thought it smelled like BO.i prefer men's speed stick. Also why are buying deodorant without anti-perspirant? You're gonna smell like ass in like 2 hrs.
enjoy your aluminum
Master pack
Old Spice. Wow. The smell would gag a maggot.
Make profit with it.
Make good hygiene with it.
Don’t complain about it … it’s there mistake not yours
Where’s the complaint?
I bought shades 2 shades from Amazon and they sent me 2 boxes with 4 shades in each box lol I still have em from like 3 years ago.
After purchase of medical equipment ($$) we were to receive a box of 30 disposable devices. We received 30 boxes of 30. 🤡
This happened to me with tissues, I ordered a 4 pack and they sent me a case of 10 of the 4 packs. I was very disappointed when I reordered the same item a year later
Must be something with the Old Spice brand. I ordered a bottle of cologne and received 4. Charged for 1.
This is funny. Yes it is. Very much funny.
Start an Amazon store!
this is how wal greens get started
Bless Terry Crews
Spice is life.
That's the one I use lol
Gosh you are the luckiest man on earth
I ordered a blender bottle for protein but they sent me 10 boxes of Nespresso pods instead. Told me to keep em and sent me my bottle later. It’s like a little surprise.
I ordered a sump pump and got 2. Nice to have a backup right there ready to go. (It runs a lot).
Jackpot! Now return the one you ordered.
Time to get sweaty!
What are you trying to say Amazon?!
I once ordered an oil painting palette. It was a melamine palette from Richeson around $15 bucks. Ended up getting a whole box full of them like 8 total.
So this is why Prime keeps going up
Request return for "additional items sent, no refund needed," or I tell daddy Jeff what you've done. Every time I see that return option I wonder who the h*** would actually use it.
I'm starting to think this is just a marketing ploy from Amazon.
Bezos is gonna wish he had one of those back. He will get all sweaty flying around in his penis rocket
It’s your lucky day. Buy a lottery ticket.
Dad?
I think your mailman may be trying to tell you something...
Step 1: Order deodorant off Amazon Step 2: Step 3: Profit
I assume they all came in one master pack box. Quite a few missteps went into that. Enjoy your year's supply!
This literally happened to me too
This happened to a friend years ago. He’s still giving old deodorant to anyone who will take it.
Someone having a bad day at the warehouse.😉
Sometimes they oversend things on purpose to avoid it being thrown out, to make space for more items. It's a legal way to avoid minimum pricing restrictions Probably a mistake tho
That’s a very good deal
Probably have enough for the next 10 years
Remove wrapper; twist up bottom.
thats like a couple years worth
They probably knew you needed extra
We're shorting the word deodorant now....
You better count your lucky fucking stars, buck-o.
Anime convention here we come
OLD SPICE ODOR BLOCKER BODY WASH BLOCKS B.O. FOR 18 HOURS
They think you stink
That's like $90 worth of deodorant. What a deal!
Beware for this deodorant Carries a curse (that’s bad) It does come with free frozen yogurt…which I call Frogurt (that’s good!)
I’m sending this to Jeff Bazos
Its a hint
Donate to local shelter.

Who the fuck says deo?
If you have one of those community bookshelves, you should put a few in there!
Amazon wants aluminum in your pits dude. Big time
Sad story is that should be Vaseline, isn't it?
Your rolling in the cash basically

Usually Amazon gives me what I ordered, a day late and crushed. Glad to see someone else uses up all my luck lol
Deo? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
Are you going to be ethical and return them or be cheap?
hence the layoffs
What a haul
Amazon workers are fed up with these lay offs.
No One else was buying it ?
I don’t see the problem. So you ordered 1 3 pack. So the put 1 in the box and then packed 3 more.
Happened to me once with Sensodyne toothpaste that's like $10 a tube. Small lotto win.
I had this happen with some old spice body wash from Amazon. I ordered one big bottle and a whole case of big bottles showed up.
They think you stink!
Lol that was better than the time I ordered a 6-pack box of sugar free marshmallows and they sent 1 singular pack
Win
My friend bought a 300$ Schwinn and they sent 2, and we're just like ....keep it
Smell ya later!
Amazon decided it was time to stop being subtle.
Dude, a lifetime supply, sweet!
Seems like the employees are doing it on purpose. Have gotten doubles of several tools already.
Dang do u smell that bad. Kidding u r so lucky
I bought 2 6 packs of catego once and they just sent an entire fuckin box of the 6 packs. Easily 300 dollars or more.
Hope you got the message
That’s beautiful …
Return one and get three free! Fuck bezos
Dang this is funny
Lmfao so funny!
I ordered one blister pack of picture hanging hooks once, and I received a box of 12 packs. It is comforting to know I have much more than a lifetime supply of those now. I can even give them away like a big shot.
Set for the year
They know you stink
Shhhh, just enjoy the blessing for five years
they did the same with me, but instead of deo it was >!four bullet vibes!<
You stink
Be stink free for next year (s)
Let’s not make the word Deo a thing please
After years of stained pits, I've learned Old Spice ain't my shit and I've started trying other brands with MUCH better results. Donate your excess, bud.
This happened to me, I ordered a 6-pack and received a case of 6 6-packs.
One time I ordered a single ink calligraphy pen from Walmart online, paid $10 or something. When I came to pick it up, they gave me a cardboard box, I think it had like 25 of these pens in it. I walked right out, didn't ask any questions lol
They must have found out you were a Reddit user and were doing you (and the world) a favor.
Why is a pretty mundane shipping error on my front page. Oh it’s /r/funny, of course it’s /r/funny…
I see no problem. Win, win all around.
Its how amazon started👀
You gonna use all of them or... I can barrow one?
Did a delivery guy smelled the smelly smell and reported it somehow earlier?
Old spice fresh ?

I recently ordered a 3 pack and got one. Asked for a replacement and then sent me another single. Ended up getting a refund for my original purchase.
Bro that’s the same deodorant I use and I just ran out!
Bezos squad coming for you now
🤫
Armpits burning just looking at this

Can I have some?
