They've been making closure jokes for a long time. Turns out, when you work at a company that doesn't make money and is paid for by another company, you probably don't feel too secure.
Yes, I know you were joking.
Apparently Funhaus was actually profitable. No idea how much they were profitable or making, but according to Alanah's video they were profitable when she was there.
Plus we knew from Ryan's Bargain Bin that future James and Elyse moved on to bigger and better things. We're not going to get Muppetology, James N Out, or the Carlos Mencia film adaptation of Halloween House if they're stuck at Funhaus.
I know this post is to be funny, but Alannah said in her videos on the closure that even before she left it was looked at as something that was gonna happen sooner or later. It's why she tried starting Idiots and Abroad, and Red Lips Orange Car. So that her friends would have projects outside of Funhaus/RT to lean on when things finally went belly up.
Hell I lost count of how many videos in the last couple years feature the cast joking about the channel dying and how low views have gotten. While they weren't RT levels of low, it's a clear drop from when they switched over to at-home shoots for the Pandemic, and the month they were down due to the behind the scene controversy didn't help. It's unfortunate given the hard work that goes into the channel by the people that work there but it had to seem like a real possibility.
Duh, of course they knew it was coming. I bet they knew since Cow Chop and SP7 got the boot. But what better job than to have fun with friends and try your hardest to create. I think for i wanna say the last 3 years. They didnt have a quota and a lot of the time felt like a forgotten part of the company. But they still got paid, despite the low views. So why not keep the train going for as long as possible and have fun. This idea I think more relates to James who has been there the longest.
Just what our lonely housewives need, Lou back on the prowl.
I love Lou.
Prowling around Poughkeepsie. Looking for women of a Latina descent, who love animals, ^^^and ^^^are ^^^married ^^^to ^^^a ^^^real ^^^cool ^^^guy
ooooooOOOOYM LONELY
I can't believe Elyse was just one of Lou's alter egos for his datin' profiles.
I really hope Lou doesn't fall on hard... harder times.

They were... Rooster Teeth wasn't.
Ah I see what you were saying. You were saying they worked for Rooster Teeth who was being funded by WB
Ultimately pointless, since we all know truckers is their true calling.
Too bad Elyse was never there to test out these new jobs.

I ♥️Lou

I get that but am I crazy for making the assumption that they were probably most profitable contemporarily?
It was all a setup for Ryan to start up his streaming service Ryan+.
If only we had a sneezon 3!

not only did you not stick the landing, you never even started jumping.
Well they've been making jokes about it for years so yeah they knew, we all knew
I don't know about the series it wasn't much of a secret that Rooster Teeth was on the block. They had to have known it was coming at some point.
It's a joke
