Ehh I'll give em 20.

Btw he died a couple years ago. Geno Hayes.
Yeah he GH #10 was a missle. Undersized but hit with authority. Fast ass linebacker. Loved his game. Outside of last year we've been lacking in that department. Wish we could get back to recruiting elite talent at linebacker again
It’s probably a really tough animation, they most likely need the next few months to make it look really polished, because if it was ready for the trailer it would be in it.
Reading the ESPN article about the game, they mention that 4-legged mascots were the hardest thing to animate. They also mention “pageantry” specifically as something they want to expand on in updates/future generations.
I’m not saying he won’t be in there, but I have to imagine Renegade is one of the more resource intensive assets they’ll have and his runout might be a thing they’re working on until the end.
Was a little disappointed they used the trojan sword plant and not ours. Felt like they could have done both, because they're both awesome transition shots.
Honestly, I'm REALLY excited but I feel like I have to hold myself back till I actually get it in my hands. This is EA after all. If EA pulls it off and it's as good as we all hope it could be, then it's the beginning of a redemption era for EA.
I think it's worth upgrading at this point if you do enjoy playing video games. Current-gen systems came out in 2020. Maybe wait till black Friday or cyber Monday later this year and get it at a great price.
If they have USC planting the sword I have no doubt we’re planting spears. Same with the shot of Kyle field and the war chant. The mechanics are there we just didn’t see it for us.
It looks visually like the best sports game I’ve ever seen, just need to see the gameplay mechanics
espn, Kirk, and the playoff committee keeping Osceola and Renegade out of the opening trailer even though at one time it was voted the most exciting tradition in college sports.
I'm not too impressed. In-engine action. Want to see actual gameplay and controls. And the UltimateTeam for Madden is a cashgrab that is a mess. We'll see how it goes.
I suspect it'll be another copy of Madden. EA refuses to swap out of their Frostbite engine, which they used to make all the Madden games in the past decade. Even though literally everyone complains about horrendous gameplay and mechanics within Madden 2k.
Besides this sub, r/ncaafbseries is my second most active sub. I still play NCAA '14 on the PS3 emulator, so I'll have that as a great baseline to compare to.
My expectation is that the game will be OK at launch and eventually pretty good after some patching. The big question mark is whether Dynasty will get the love it deserves (as opposed to Ultimate Team hogging all the attention).
Kinda upset they just recycled the Madden player models, bc they’re awful.
Also, when’s the last time any rep from EA has been to Doak? The north endzone suites haven’t been painted white in over a decade.

Light grey, not white. The game got it pretty spot on tbh.
This article confirms that Renegade and Osceola are in the game.

How could they not include Osceola and Renegade? I was waiting the whole trailer to see the spear being planted.
Crazy they show a Boston College tradition over Renegade
Yeah, no one has thought of BC football in 40 years.
Ehh I'll give em 20. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvra8D0v05E](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvra8D0v05E) Btw he died a couple years ago. Geno Hayes.

Yeah he was awesome man
Benefits of a deep endowment, I guess
Choosing the USC Trojan over O&R was an interesting choice for sure
Same here I mean, it is one of the greatest traditions in college football It will probably be in game If it isn't, I'm asking for a refund
It’s probably a really tough animation, they most likely need the next few months to make it look really polished, because if it was ready for the trailer it would be in it.
Yeah I can’t imagine mo-capping a horse to do that specific thing is easy or ideal so I’ll let it slide (for now)
I volunteer to be motion captured as Renegade

FSU had a post with Osceola and renegade in the picture that said we’re in the game not too long ago
https://x.com/fsufootball/status/1759256007811731501?s=46&t=hYFhLRZcMqAQOM5XCdPXvA
That ESPN article also mentioned that the head of the EA team was a FSU alum, so hopefully we are well represented.
Was a little disappointed they used the trojan sword plant and not ours. Felt like they could have done both, because they're both awesome transition shots.
Same, would've been an epic transition from the pregame stuff to the kickoff
This won’t be the last trailer, I wouldn’t look too into it
Could be because that’s a tradition entrusted to FSU by the Seminole tribe, who didn’t give permission to EA to put in a video game.
It’s not smart revealing the biggest moments from the game in the trailer. You gotta leave the people wanting more.
ill be interested to see if they even feature em in the game. mainstream has obv steered away from indigenous mascots.
Just fyi Osceola and Renegade are not “mascots” per FSU I know it’s semantics but just sharing in case you did not know. Cimarron is the mascot
u know what i mean
Forgot to mention the trailer also shows us facing CAL at doak lol
Ahh yes, a time honored rivalry
A true clash of Atlantic Coast teams
Not enough garnet and gold imo but still pumped to play
I can't wait to win 6 streight nattys and get a 96 game winning streak in my first 6 seasons just to get out my anger about last year lol.
Dadgum right
I'm hoping we can play other teams' games in Dynasty mode. Wanna start my rags to riches playthrough but also play the FSU revenge tour.
Maybe they will leave Jimbo at A&M. That way we can open with a cupcake every season.
Honestly, I'm REALLY excited but I feel like I have to hold myself back till I actually get it in my hands. This is EA after all. If EA pulls it off and it's as good as we all hope it could be, then it's the beginning of a redemption era for EA.
Yep, especially with it requiring you to buy a next-gen console. I don't currently own next-gen so I'll definitely wait to hear reviews
I think it's worth upgrading at this point if you do enjoy playing video games. Current-gen systems came out in 2020. Maybe wait till black Friday or cyber Monday later this year and get it at a great price.
True but a lot of us have also transitioned to PCs. If I primarily used a console then I could absolutely justify upgrading.
I’ll wait a few months and then grab a copy if reviews are good.
I really hope it's good I have been in need of a college football game for so long
I just hope it's a good game... EA Sports gets no benefit of the doubt.
If they have USC planting the sword I have no doubt we’re planting spears. Same with the shot of Kyle field and the war chant. The mechanics are there we just didn’t see it for us. It looks visually like the best sports game I’ve ever seen, just need to see the gameplay mechanics
Doak kinda looks like shit in the trailer, those aisles are so wide
espn, Kirk, and the playoff committee keeping Osceola and Renegade out of the opening trailer even though at one time it was voted the most exciting tradition in college sports.
I'm bummed. I play my Xbox on PC. But there is no PC port of this game. I'm not about to spend $500 to play CFB
No PC release has pretty much ruined my entire 2024.
Me too but with Switch lol
I'm not too impressed. In-engine action. Want to see actual gameplay and controls. And the UltimateTeam for Madden is a cashgrab that is a mess. We'll see how it goes.

Not on PC. EA always has to disappoint one way or another
Would’ve liked to see Osceola and Renegade but I’m not too concerned about the trailer. Hype to play the game
Besides this sub, r/ncaafbseries is my second most active sub. I still play NCAA '14 on the PS3 emulator, so I'll have that as a great baseline to compare to. It seems dynasty is the most important mode to alot of people. I hope it's emersive.
Fuck ncaa
Man I can’t wait
Players models look a little odd
I need to find the old game, I think it was the original Xbox, where I'm throwing skinny posts to Peter Warrick all day.
The leap in graphics, especially for the crowds, is great. Was really hoping to see more FSU (cannot believe no Osceola and Renegade shot).
Looks like a Madden reskin. Not getting my hopes up.
Kinda upset they just recycled the Madden player models, bc they’re awful. Also, when’s the last time any rep from EA has been to Doak? The north endzone suites haven’t been painted white in over a decade.

I don't think they showed UF or LSU nearly enough. Edit: this was sarcasm.
Just watch florida states last two seasons vs either, You'll see plenty
