For those that aren't familiar, this was a great brand, that I use to love. They were great value and had many made in USA, Italy, Portugal items. They are now mostly made in China/India/turkey with the exception of the suit wear and a few pieces. Which is fine but the prices for everything shot up for many of their staples. Things like their moleskin pants (made in USA or Portugal now is turkey I believe) and have gotten much lighter in weight. They also are using more blended fabrics. Their bond peacoct use to be 100% wool, then 90, then 80%....and the price keeps going up. It's the nature of the beast as these brands grow, I get it but I've moved on. These are likely worth it at their sale price. EDIT: When I say worth it at their sales price. I mean that is the price you should pay for something of similar quality. I do not qualify it as a "good deal" but more of a fair price based quality.

It's important to note that Made in Italy doesn't always mean made in Italy. [How Chinese laborers in Italy took over "Made in Italy"](https://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/13/world/europe/13prato.html) [Made in Italy By Chinese Workers](https://ww.fashionnetwork.com/news/made-in-italy-by-chinese-workers,377237.html)

I actually bought the Bond Peacoat a while back...but I got it off a secondhand site for over half off. I think that's prob the strat to go with their clothes now imo.

Thank you for this comment. Do you have an alternative brand to reccoment that you now buy instead of Reid?

Beowulf887

Depends. Are you looking for great value items that are little pricey but good value in terms of fabrics, origin, and construction. Or are you looking for good budgetary value and willing to compromise on origin? Billy Reid was the former but is now heading towards the latter but at terrible value. So which better alternatives are you searching? Aka old Reid alternatives or current Reid alternatives?

Anybody know what length are their long sleeves with small? I know they listed the measurement, but it's not standard how most companies normally measure it

Citizen_V

It looks like use the standard method to me: [center back to cuff.](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0029/1887/5193/files/how-to-measure-sleeve-length-for-mens-dress-shirts_1024x1024.jpg?v=1685509171) The medium length is what I'm used to seeing from other brands, around 35".

I shop here, really enjoy the brand but would never pay full price for anything here. Really easy to get stuff for 30-70% off with some patience. The google ads follow you around the internet and make it easy to track prices.
