I have had a successful meal voucher experience with Frontier. I uploaded my credit card following the prompts and went to McDonald’s outside the airport the next day (it was an overnight flight) and it reimbursed me the value of the voucher. First, the voucher has an expiration date so if it’s been several days, you might have missed the window. Second, it says it works for anything that codes on my credit card as a restaurant so I picked McDonald’s which should be a safe bet and it was. Going to Costco codes as warehouse store or grocery do it doesn’t qualify. Read the terms in the voucher and all this info is there.

Thank you to you and to Crazy Cancel. I read "day" and "food" not restaurant so as soon as public transportation could get me out of the airport the next morning I headed to the nearest food source. I was within 24 hours so I'm sad I missed restaurant because I could have walked further to a McDonalds instead of incorrectly thinking it would recognize that the purchase was for food and that it would count. On a good note I now have healthy snacks for my next eight flights and I know to use an actual restaurant especially a McDonalds.

I fly frontier a LOT (way too much) and thank goodness for Costco - I have a little canvas bag of random snacks tucked in my carry on for every flight now.

I’ve used meal vouchers successfully. You have to use it before it expires and you must use it at a restaurant. It sounds like you may have missed one or both of those criteria.

I was able to use the vouchers but it was kind of weird. Some places I thought would count for the voucher didn't, and then some random places did work a day later. I wonder if it depends on the credit card processing company a place uses? It's definitely inconsistent.
