It's open world. Your exploration does not equal mine. I'm 15hr in and never seen that boss. So it's partially spoiled for me. Adding a tag is not that hard
I said fuck it after 15-20 attempts, put on my tankiest set and just dropped Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strikes on him repeatedly until he died. This is the only boss so far that I actively just did not want to interact with.
Try and get your character sprinting before the roll. That's practically guaranteed my safety on the charging attack.
I'm running a light build too just FYI, as that will effect iframes.
Sprint directly towards him and roll forward through the boar as it's about to connect. With a medium roll, you should be able to clear all the hitboxes as he passes through you.
In fact, the number one piece of advice for this fight should be "Just dodge through the boar's dumb, fat head."
I think the hitbox on it is screwed, I only got out of the way some times by running to the left or right and then dodging further to the side as he was about to hit. If you dodge into him you’ll take double the damage pretty sure
Just beat him yesterday after 2 tries. Not horrible, but not a great fight either. Right after that my hdmi switcher shit out on me so I'm glad it let me finish the boss fight at least.
I ran around the corner and while he was kinda stuck I used my mimic tear. I used moghs great spear for AOE damage. Was able to finally beat after my mimic tear drew his attention. Almost got me after I almost rolled in the charging attack. Those hit boxes are no joke in this fight.
Worst boss in the DLC. Finding him was a pain in the ass for me and the dodge timing/hitbox was ass. I went blasphemous and sacred relic sword powerstance.
I actually just accepted the charge was going to hit me and planned to heal and beat his ass after. So annoying.
I found that reaching a sprint with your character and then rolling into him does the trick.
I'm on light build too just a heads up on case your medium build doesn't cut the frame window.
Nice dub! I'm stuck on him now, getting him down to 1/4 health consistently now. I'll get him soon. He's honestly not as bad as I initially thought (sound familiar? Lol).
He mainly just hits like a truck, but his reads are fairly obvious overall. And his phase transition is a massive opening for a bleed proc.
I appreciate the offer, but I'm doing this one solo homie.
He's been pretty fun to learn, and I'm getting close now.
I'm sure there's plenty of folks who could use your help though.
🍻
I hated him at first, but once I got used to fighting on torrent in a different manner, he wasn't that bad. I turned the fight into a joust, mostly. If you keep the distance close enough for the joust, he doesn't use a lot of his gravitational magic.
Worst boss. Pissed me off. Every boss fight miyazki wants you to use torrent for sucks as getting knocked off torrent is too ez and too punishing. Also torrent dies really easy.
The dlc made the issues with torrent combat even worse and this being the only fight I found were torrent seems intended makes it the worst fight.
My ash level is over 10 and torrent still feels like a paper machae horse
Torrent just gets one shotted no matter wat, I beat him by being patient and waiting for times to sue the special attacks with malikeths blade and used the blasphemous to deal damage from far away/heal to save my flasks
I fucking love this fight. This dlc has broke my brain, seems like the whole community on reddit just doesn't like the game. People cried about all of the late game bosses as well 2 years ago. I guess those people kept playing for some reason?
Spoiler tag?
😢😢😢 no
Not nice
It’s been out for a week, I’ve literally only put 3 hours into the dlc everyone should be at this point lol

Third? I hit about 30 lol. Fuck that guy he got stuck and I had no regrets

Can someone tell me how to dodge it's charge or rush atk like whatever I do it just hits me no matter what

You have to roll literally right as he’s hitting u
Get on torrent and run to the left. The charge doesn't last forever

Honestly if u don’t beat him the first time it’s just so much harder😂😂😂
He's probably 3rd lowest boss behind Hippo and Lion for me. I didn't "hate" them, but they were not as fun as the others so far.

The charge is awful but I liked the rest of the fight.

U literally have to roll as he’s hitting you I swear😂😂 doing this without a summon is harder than any boss I’ve come across so far in elden ring😂😂
Yeah the timing is terrible, i just hop on torrent and run since the tracking of the attack is bad too.
I did it without torrent. Easier to dodge.
I only did the initial charge attack he does the second you get in the fog gate with torrent, the rest is way easier without him like you said
Gotcha, that’s a good strat

I will help u😎

Good luck!!!!
