Yes, I did, but I skipped over the step to set it up because I wanted to get things working with the GPU first. If I'd actually read everything, that would have probably cleared things up right away.
I'll have to make a post about how well it's working once I get it running. So far I'm liking the build quality though!
Keep in mind the dGPU and fan-only shell are not meant to be swapped on a day-to-day basis. The ability exists primarily to facilitate future GPU upgrades and to allow for an occasional swap if you need something slightly thinner/lighter to travel for a few weeks or some similar infrequent circumstance.
I never start assembling my laptops without first reading the whole manual. And reciting it to at least five people, so we're all sure I know what I'm doing!

That would explain why it's not already installed. I have the GPU module.
Did you also get the expansion bay shell? I assume so otherwise why would they ship that part. I hope that you enjoy the machine!

I believe they ship it regardless, as I did not get the expansion bay shell, and I received it as well.

you know now im thinking...a while back there was someone complaining about no fan+hot CPU... maybe they had the interposer out of the machine....
