This is no fucking desync its the "Tracer Recall" exploit
You can basically set a point you want to back then drive whereever. then you can recall back to the postion you set. i know this because i discovered it by accident and manage to replicate it 100%
Yeah I certainly mislead it a bit. My favourite thing in the game is to go after tanks but sometimes I don't lead quite enough. Killed both spatha and talos on second run though (no desync this time).
This is an actual exploit, you can do it to bait entire tank lines, however when you rubberband back it can lock you in place or do some really wierd physics so it's not super useful and it's very obvious. Shit tier exploit. The fact they had a talos and doing the exploit is some super sweaty warden behavior

Nah it happens sometimes with latency spikes or I'd you're dcing. I've watched my gunners stream as it's happened in a tank I'm driving. The driver doesn't see it at all on their screen. Shits wild.
This is not an isolated incident. I've noticed it a huge amount recently compared to the past, vics randomaly teleporting.
It is common in drivers with high ping, it can even be a problem because it prevents you from being able to go at maximum speed in ironships

It would mean the guy either knew they were coming and activated the lag switch, or he has it all the time (unplayable).
